And tier 9 is oddly not a thing and tier X are called Legendary Tier. The entire game has a different lifestyle im assuming for balance reasons but we do have AircraftCarrier haters i always tell them nah your lucky you haven't touched World of Warships on PC
Also not Many AircraftCarrier released and only 1 AircraftCarrier each side
Game not to complicated but it's a good break from the PC version if you hate Submarines

If your AircraftCarrier see Aircraft near it a squadron of Fighter's will deploy automatically before Airstrike can happen even if your doing something else like in a middle of a Torpedo run

if youre good enough and not super close to other ships (friendlies the enemy planes can target/enemies who will shoot your fighters) you can drop a fighter squad nearly on top of an enemy squadron and theyll lock on fast enough to prevent even a first strike
Our fighter squads are 5 planes, so most CVs squadrons will take a massive hit, even if they have 8 plane squads
The 12 plane squads of higher tiers though is different
it wont guarantee no strike with an 8 plane squad, but most players should think twice about continuing with only 3 planes, especially in the start of the game when AA is high

I’m my opinion, yes, if it’s a favorite character of yours and you can justify the price of it, but also in that same respect the cards (both in ENG and in JP) are rather expensive, if anything I would recommend getting the regular version of your favorite character to have as a collector item.
But if you are intending to play the game then it is a full self discretion thing, if you feel you’ll get the use out of the card for the price you will pay, then sure go for it.
