It's like Shakespear's live adaptation of his tragic comedy writing

Japanese voice actor Kazuki Atsumi, 31, has been arrested by Tokyo police on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl. Investigators say he met the girl two years earlier while working at a temporary child protection shelter where she had stayed.

Police allege the assaults occurred around 30 times at a hotel in Tokyo during May. Reports say Atsumi admitted to the acts and knew the girl was under 16, Japan’s legal age of consent.

Atsumi had minor roles in the anime My Dress-Up Darling and Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider. After the arrest, his agency, Mausu Promotion, ended his contract and removed his profile from its website.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government, which oversees the shelter, apologized for the incident and said it is investigating whether any other children at the facility may have been affected.
