so there might be a point in story when like 4 different conflicts are being set up at the same time and then half the book is spent on the gremlin doing gremlin things in the temple
and then half of em are just dropped a book later without even being expanded on

which is normal for the series so far granted, but also it wasn't trying to have so much overarching shit as something important
