Alright so
I was hungry and didnt go out for groceries
So i made this macaroni thing with parmesan, cayenne pepper, olive oil, edam cheese, thyme, tomato sauce, and spam. It actually turned out pretty neat
At first i tasted the olive oil
Then the cheese
Lastly the spice
Chilly with ice is actually a rather good combo. It balances well.

pancakes? hmm
pizza

Yeah I use the mouse pad I got from the anni event on the USS Iowa
Potato
oh ok
Night snack
1 with cheese, one with butter & sugar
And a piece of extra cheese
For no reason

Cheap-ass grocery store “cheddar cheese”, you mean?

Actually the spreadable cheese is very nice with the hard cheese.

I'm praying for your sphincter friends and family who have to be near you.
📿
Eat more fruit, bread, and rice. It'll make the poop hurt less.
Here’s the ramen I ate, not sure how spicy it is for you guys but pretty sure I was on the brink of death

No fucking wonder why, this shit is beyond unbearable.
Gun propellant bag
powder propellant
I never get why people like burning their tongues
Can’t handle spicy food?
I'd like to keep my tasting apparatus working
Understandable have a nice day
It's not just the tongues.
I just grew up with spicy food so my tolerance is a bit high, once you get used to it it’s like adding condiments to food mostly
As a Mexican I have naturally high spice resistance

But this stuff destroyed me

Yeah same, my mom used to bully me when I was building my tolerance “Not a true Mexican smh”
Spices like black pepper and such are nice, they warm you up and doesn't turn into molten lava in your mouth
Now these abominations
Green tea lattes are good ngl
Though.I do have a giant sweet tooth so
Got one w/ boba pearls from a milk tea place today
Tho not first time getting this stuff
You should have listened to unknowns' mom. Viva la raza.

Yorkshire Pudding?
those are wonderfully puffy
made scones
I used frozen so they were a little messy
Mmm. Berries.
how thin do you guys like your pizzer bun
i tried a thin crust margheritta the other day
it's not as filling

still delicious i guess
Easy, eat a 2nd slice

Yeah this one is relatively thin
One of my favorites, the place has pizza that almost no where else can replicate

deep-dish pizza was pretty good the one time I had it
usually I do pesto with thinner crusts
deep dish, i dont think they exist in my city
there's calzone though, i guess ill try that next
Deep dish is just a soup bowl.
I just like pizza
New York, pan, deep dish
As long as it's pepperoni and cheese
Or combo
No pineapple
Same
pineapple + banana peppers + hot sausage
it depends on the quality of the pineapple though
I'm actually curious about that baked pineapple with mozzarella and pepperoni that was posted on here as a meme
Naan bread, tomato, basil, cumin, curry powder, salami, mozzarella
that looks good
Sir, i think you got some lasagna stuck in your breadcrumb pile.

Yeah this is called Imma pour a little and slip on a towel I left of the floor

the crust seems quite crunchy
it is

Instant ramen
Last day for pizza

Hardest part is guessing how much cheese to use; too much and the bread gets soggy, too little and the bread burns.
ZA
damn
faux-thai basil stir fry with chicken and caramelized carrot
hondashi+soy+brown sugar+crushed tomato to emulate oyster sauce
Damm if only I could cook like that
Mustard pork chop.
Seared on one side for five minutes on high heat while braised with vinegar, baking soda, turmeric, garlic, curry powder, cumin, white pepper, thyme, and paprika. Threw in baby asparagus after two minutes.
Added butter, flipped, and put the other side on high heat for two minutes, bathing it constantly.
Rested, sliced. Wish I had a side of rice.
Damm I might try some of these recipes sometime
The actual "put over fire" part is usually short vs easy. Biggest time sink is preparation (cutting and defrosting and cleaning), and maybe shopping (picking out quality).
Cooked some boar meat

Sadly the fruits started leaking

It's still a good looking cake
Can't wait to taste it later tonight
Mostly I just want my birthday to be over already
all this good food
this always happens with me 😔
but merry sun-rotation!
Now that is mouth watering looking cake
Chocolate, cake, and champagne?

The plate of dark bites in the back is apricot, or the fruit cake?
apricot

God... I just ate and this makes me hungry.
Seems just fine. What are you going for in your photos?
That was pretty. Not a phone camera?
Good camera
Add more dish soap

I ran out of cilantro
Damm I hate it when that happens
More cheese. Kill your heart in a different way.
I meant I only cook two slices of bacon every morning, not cheese

But out of bacon now
Do you normally have anything with the bacon?
Eggs,toast, and milk
Cheesy eggs with vegetables, toast, and milk?
I usually like a cheesy Western Omelet (eggs scramble with diced onions & bell peppers covered with shredded cheese, sometimes with shredded ham)
I wasn't sure what you had so kinda did a wild guess.
i usually have eggs for breakfast
or sometimes cream cheese on something
im lazy so i make soft-boiled eggs
Homemade bred with various spreading
None of those bland limp bred from random bakeries
Super thic buttery bred
I should try making brown/dark bred next time
I wish I could bake again. Only bread I can do now is quick bread from a can.

Salted-egg fried shrimps with generous amount of mayo

looks like potato covered in bread crumbs
Croquettes, so yes. (Fried balls of mashed potatoes)
I never liked using a fryer, so I use a much shallower pan of oil. Mine always break up into tater tots.
potato with mince meat shape to ball and cover in breadcrum

was going to add cheese but sorta forgot along the way
cheeb!
borg
is that a chicken borgar?

Yeah, it’s a grilled chicken club
🐔
made a quick soup for lunch
stock, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, allspice and cloves, salt, some ghee, and a bit of parmesan
Anyone make popcorn without a popcorn machine or microwave? I'm encountering... Difficulties.
you need to cover the pot so it doesn’t get everywhere
That's is true, but what if they're not popping and just burning? Half of my kernels don't open and some just turn black.
I've tried adding a layer of oil, but that doesn't offer anything consistent. I might just have a bad batch of kernels.
that is possible:c
I typically made pop corn with pan or wok, only like 5% of it burn
Because I fry those corn with coconut oil
How much oil do you use, do you use wok action (shaking)?
Oh, so they have to be dip-level (but not swim-level) deep? I've been very stingy with my oil use. I was afraid too much would burn them unevenly.
swim lvl too much
If you want an oily snack then why not?

Also I find Wok more efficient since it's hollow shape can made unpopped corn went to bottom of wok and they'll can be evenly cooked
To prevent burnt, just turn off the fire when the popping sound lessened

Look like sweet paste filled buns
chese bal
Ooh. Mozzarella balls.
I need more cheese in my life.
(Though my heart probably likes it)
bol
This is delicious.

eating feast
consume the burger ring

devil’s food cake later today :0

im attempting to get an A so i should do my psych project before the rest

Hmm. Gin chocolate cake?
yommu!
I haven't gone out for food in almost a month. This is almost the last of my eggs and frozen vegetable. If I continue to be lazy, I'll have to open up cans of soup and jerky.
pogggg
I might have some more cake for lunch :333
The fact the center of the cut isn't in the center bothers me greatly

This is just typical Chinese Noodle found on street food
With Fried Wonton and Crispy Chicken Skin
$1
Streets Ahead.
Probably 5 in US
$1, nice!
street food is cheaper in some places than in others m
good DC street food is pretty overpriced in my experience
darn tourism industry
but when my brother was in Buenos Aires he lived off of empanadas after losing his wallet
and those dough cracker things
i forget what they're called
anyway, im making soooooooop

Sun makes it look like there’s some sort of explosion in the background, but hey food
I love loli

my mom likes to leave soup in a pot outside
because our fridge is full
now we have an ice block with cabbage in it
nice

I would have that three times a day
We need to form an AL buffet
I hope it has edible food and not squishing food for twisted entertainment
sssh dont say anything anymore. or you'll summon him

there's only one person in this server who waste food by crushing them and post it here for reaction

whos that anyway
well i guess his name is "who shall not be named"

Boup

miso?
Yeah Miso soup

mochi
Is that winter melon or daikon? And Napa?
I can literally eat curry for a month and wouldnt get bored
especially japanese style curry
Honestly I’m with you there
It’s not chillis it’s just how they curry is served itself
I like curry flavored foods but actually curry decides nope

Might be allergic to one of the spices
curry :0000
I love curry
making some Thai curry tomorrow, in fact
here is an incredibly sexy caramel chocolate bar
curry
For a second I thought that was curry (with all that talk)
Curry chocolate bar
It would sell
I mean ice cream sambal/spicy was sold at one point

btw i respected the pouch
when i drink that as a kid it gave me headache for some reason
i guess the sugar was too strong for my smol head

i have had chocolate with chili bits in it
pretty good
but here is the paste
i ate too much of it
and my nose doesn’t like me anymore
cooking the chicken now
that's a giant red onyo
I'm not the biggest fan of raw 🧅, but it looks very pretty.
sandvich
Foot long eh

bun
🍞
🍿
Did the wok thing General suggested. For my setup, had to switch on high then low heat once the kernels started popping to reduce the number of uncooked ones and to reduce burnt ones.
Cayenne pepper on the kernels before popping is so good, and not as spicy as you might expect.
cayenne is one of my favorite spices
i mean, they’re all good
but it goes with just about everything
and isn’t too strong
I'm all out
I've been using curry powder instead. (Also, before popping? It doesn't burn?)
Boodle
Sobaaa
boooodle
What was the filling?
Mini Taiyaki
Beautiful

Sweet.

So i tried to eat while holding the plate,
And the sauce got into my pants.

Tangerine, mango and pineapple with lime juice, chili and sprinkles of salt
I thought it was cinnamon powder
Wow that's so not healthy
Five please

shino making me hungry at 3am

Was so good lmao
🇺🇸
Cranberry? Cherry? Mixed berry? (I see strawberry seeds I think)
raspberries and rhubarb
look as good as the ads restaurant has
Deep Fried and Oven after
Inside stuffed with caramelized onions, crushed garlic, coriander, white pepper and salt.
Soaked marinated the whole chicken with coconut milk(w/ pepper) for atleast 10 hrs.
That's different. Usually I hear oven then fry. Doesn't oven after frying make the skin soggy?
foood :0
Nope, unless you set beyond 300(it's going to be very dry and hard to chew). I just set it to 150 for the solid crispness.
Edit: just for 10 mins
in my smol oven

I only oven and fry if it's Pork. If your like familiar of Filipino cuisine Lechon Kawali or Karahay deep frying it will enhance the crispness after heated from the oven.
I still prefer the frozen meat for deep frying, but I won't recommend that if you care about your skin.

the chilli... my guts...

Spicy sweet & sour pork with curried vegetables. (Super hot, needed to add roasted microwaved potato afterward.)

@zealous kindle I like those spices around. Yum yum
Bought this today for my dinner later. I will try to make some of these soon(hopefully).
The mayo and soy are homemade
It's in the stomache now

Whats that

pizza scones are in the making

I don't understand. It still looks good, but needs a tomato sauce dip to add the acidity.
i folded the sauce into the dough
Oh? I thought that was 🍖
Does the sauce bake well? Is it a dry flavor? (Man I want to eat it)
cookies :0
the things i made saturday were sort of like cookies but with chocolate almond filling in the roll
yesterday’s were scone dough with parsley, homemade tomato sauce with garlic, and a creamy cheese blend inside/on top
I mixed a bit of cinnamon powder in the cake flour together.
I dunno if that's even the right process anymore
cinnamon makes most things better m

yum
Great sear on the steak, but those fries look gorgeous
Still looks amazing. Pairs well with the steak. (Soysauce? Hmm. That would offer a nice color. Sometimes I cheat and use turmeric to add more gold color.)
those frys are a swebian/austrian speciallity called Schupfnudeln
@silver jasper beer is missing
mm i guess so

meatballs pog
I made a Fish Curry and Valencia Express(Spicy Fish with Vinegar and Coconut Broth). I forgot to take the picture of it lol.
Fish used: Parrot Fish(Fish Curry) and Barracuda(Valencia)
In my visayan language: Barracuda is called "Rumpee" while the Parrot Fish is "Mol-Mol"
Made some pancakes!

Stooop. You're making me so hungry. (What's the new recipe?)

changed up the flour blend to make it pastrier and put parmesan in with the sauce rather than the using the cheese mix from last time

Pandesal and Gravy for my late night snack.
And five glass of diluted Johnny Walker since insomnia is kicking in again.

Cuban sandwich is a melted sandwich with crushed potato chips atop the meat. Colombian hotdog uses crushed corn chips alongside salsa as a topping.
i tried to do muffins this morning
didn’t really work
sad
but
i am making chicken now

hey guys, since this is the food club... any of you do jp cooking? I was wondering, how much does a 25g pack of bonito flakes cost ya?
That.. Is a very tiny amount. Typically its 1~2$USD for that amount, but you're buying a bulk package five times that size. @near sable
they don't sell bulk here
Well, then a fair price I'm guessing would be 4~5$USD? Just for the convenience of a smaller amount.
basically I live in a god forsaken corner of europe and I finally found a brick and mortar store that sells this stuff, which is cheaper than buying online, but makes me wonder how much people in other countries have to pay for it
and I paid 9 euros for a pack of 25g
Well, it's a specialized store so they probably don't buy a lot.
I live in a coastal trade hub, so there's often a domestic option (no need to buy "from Japan" exports)
from the various stickers I'm buying double imports from japan to france or germany and then my place
well, the chain stores have he most popular stuff, like for sushi and such
and I have found seaweed for cheap since it's not a rare food here, I'm just not confident if it's the right species
What about something from Iceland?
Iceland has a pretty healthy seafood export; it's probably not tiger shrimp though.
Something that's not imported twice is probably easier on the wallet.
but like, the name of the seaweed on the package is laminaria japonica, which according to extensive googling is saccharina japonica, aka kombu
and shitake are readily available in both dried and marinated form
so bonito flakes were like the only real rarity
our chain stores have these "flavours of the word" sections where they stock up on stuff like nori sheets, mexican and indian spices and cn/jp stuff too
also, miso was cheaper in the specialty store...
it might have been cheaper to buy it online and pay for shipping lmao
u can get a huge pack for ~$18 euros here
My sun dried fish went out well. I just discovered that drying a red meat fish(Tuna) is more pungent than the white meat(Parrot Fish for example and currently in progress), but the red meat tastes so damn good.

0,1g for 2,50
i saw it's quite expensive
€
how does it taste actually
dunno

xD
I don't think there's a neutral saffron flavor; everywhere I see it seems to be flavored. That being said, I've tried some low quality ones and can say they all shared one quality: they have the feeling of coarse salt, but sweet-ish.
The best spice is msg ||actually, garlic butter||
coarse salt and sweet? mix coarse salt and honey i guess
it takes a loooooooong time to make, plus needs to be imported from japan
u use pretty less of it per meal anyway
mmm i guessed as much.
the main problem for me is probs that i won't be able to taste it even if i used it
or is it realy intensive in taste?
i would guess that it's subtle
hmmm
if u tried eating it by itself, its quite salty and filled with ocean
in jp cuisine, its commonly served on rice, pancakes, takoyaki etc
other than for making soups
that would mean the clear stock costs 50€
if i use 2g
so basically, its one of the base thats provides the umami and salt
looks like schupfnudeln
u need a special shaver to shave it into flakes
wait is that a stone or is that the safran
the black thing?
thats the bonito
if u tried to shave it with knives or a peeler, u get dust and a broken peeler
would be worth the legendary starterweapon

imagine making a knife and then shave them to make food
oki
here are last night’s results
i think it was pretty good overall, especially for the first time making it
the tandoori chicken needed a bit more spice and should have baked 8-15 minutes more
and the paratha wasn’t really bread-textured
but i pulled it off in time
which is what matters

Looks nice
First time making Shrimp Scampi, made between work on a Macchi C.200 model

i definitely would try this if i wasnt allergic to shrimp
Not my cooking tho
damn that looks great

I still wonder when will Jamaican and Filipino cuisine gets its recognition in culinary.
That reminds me of Casava crackers my aunt made before. It was dipped on caramelized brown and muscovado sugar together.
cassava

I know they're recognized individually...
look fancy

That's not my grandfather's tea and croissant.

Why nocturnal?
because i said i was going to go to bed an hour ago
and still am doing homework and wasting time i could spend sleeping
deflated :(

now now don't get horni
i can and will sexualize foods
especially chocolate foods
anyway im off to bed
check by in 6-7 hours for finished cupcakes m

rice pudding
Arroz con leche
pasta

I kind of wonder how that would taste, and if I do eat that what kind of beer must be paired with that
I mean my inner German kind of wants to eat that
I've done something similar to this when I was a kid though, but it was with a hotdog and a hamburger
Granted I kind of want to do it again

i would say Büble Bier fit's to that
My dinner
Peas.
That roux
Burrito
It has a strong white pepper flavor, and a crumbly chicken texture. I sautéed with garlic and cheese, but the bratwurst has a strong salt content. Needed the rice and (now cheesy) asparagus.
That looks like it came out of a restaurant. Excellent plating.
I’m impressed
Smoked wings?

I haven't tried that. It sounds great, but I'm picturing something like rich cheese mascarpone and gritty-sweet marzipan.
meat!
I hate it when my foil
I just cut off the crumpled parts usually, when it’s like that it’s hard to use it properly
grilled squid

rather than use foils, we use banana leaf to gives a pleasent smell
i didn let the squid soften n just yeet them in the pan...lmao

sliced 3 line on the squid body to flatten the chilli throughout the body
That squid looks good
and somehow my mom closed the pan, that causin the vapor recollect in the pan n made it watery
soo we just grill the squid while letting the pan opened
where is the chilli and the fermented beans

yea , not enough chilli and beans
but i think i nailed the taste though
ill improve next time
chinken
stocknks
what's that? pancake? with choco n cream?
I made a salad today
salat m
But like the entire scroll is crumpled
i fr just flatten it out to use it later
health slt
Was the meat juicy?
Yeah incredibly so

Quesadillas y chile de verde
do you guys remember that video about a quesadilla pizza recipe that goes on for forever
oh i found it

Looks more like a panini.

Chocolate chip, pistachio and cherry

ice cream
:0
Ice cream sandwich with crushed Pocky
That sounds a bit sweet, but I wanna try that
Which bars should i choose?

Spagetti!
Floured cod with beer, served with butter and asparagus.

Pulled pork ftw
