its for a fic idea I have. world of warships, the growing dumpster fire that it is, has the uss kearsarge. she's a theoretical battlecarrier, bigger than the proposed montana-class with 12 guns and a flight deck. she is fugly. awkward and ungainly as the ship would have been, this might even be translated as having all her guns on one side of the shipgirl's rigging and the flight deck on the other
though given how shipgirl proportions are this prolly wouldn't have affected the girl herself

my first recommendation if you haven’t done drawing at all is to just get like, a sketchbook or smth and draw physically first before you really invest into drawing tools, it’ll let you know if you really wanna draw and have the motivation to continue, plus you can sorta start learning basic fundamentals from there. if you’re familiar with art already and looking to transition to digital I think huion tablets are fine for their price and clip studio paint is the software I use, although there are some free alternatives out there you can find as well

time lapses are probably not where you wanna start tbfh
you’ll wanna solidify lines and being able to draw shapes first and foremost which involves observation and then trying things
a lotta art involves learning things for yourself, I wouldn’t expect everything to be told or taught unless they’re actually your teacher. there’s a lot of resources online if you’re really unsure where to go, and you can find them just by looking
