i use a cheap screenless tablet and it feels just like drawing on a paper. very natural.

in the end, it'll depend on your preference and skills. some people work well with tablet w/ screen. some dont mind using screenless and still make wholesome pieces.

screenless tablet just needs a bit of time getting used to because you're looking at the screen and not on where your hand is drawing. so yeah, needs good eye-hand coordination.

True. I think my main concern is that I’m trying to rush the transition to a screen tablet hoping my art will improve. I do feel like sometimes i lose some of that hand-eye coordination if i dont draw for a couple days but as long as I’m consistent that shouldn’t be too much of a problem
