Exactly that, and how much your paying for it. My other laptop (HP pavilion) isn't as nice, but would certainly survive a fall much better

Pretty thick, and it also is quite heavy too, so I imagine it must have been hell to have to carry them to work, back in the day

That's kinda fair, at the end of the day, if it can make files, run software, and transmit data, then it's doing its job. I don't really support the idea of removing CD drives and taking away the ability to remove batteries though
