My first ever gunpla wasn’t Aerial but rather this knockoff wing gundam

This was a time where I didn’t know anything about gundam other then the statue and was looking to get a. Gundam

not knowing I need to use nippers to cut out parts

So this kit was half complete collecting dust for years in Phillipines

I got it back to Australia and it is complete

Here it’s is next to the ver ka

Ironically, my first master grade

I’m thinking about painting the knockoff to have similar colours to the ver Ka

When I first built the knockoff wing… I didn’t know you used clippers

So I just forcibly removed the pieces from the runner by pushing them out

Doing this leaves behind a sharp nub on the runner

And… yeah I got a splinter on my thumb

Doesn’t help that even with cleanup, the knockoff is just seconds away from crumbling

But overall I like them

even though I have never watched wing

Honestly, just practice will do you some good. Everyone improves with practice. I would recommend practicing smaller, simpler pieces of the drawing, one at a time. For example, maybe just try drawing one of the turrets over and over and over again. Look up “iterative drawing,” I find that process to be very useful

As much as I like the ver ka, I much prefer this cleaner, more animation accurate sazabi! While it’s often overshadowed by the RG, it’s still a very good kit for those who like this mobile suit and want a more affordable and animation accurate version of Sazabi

Are you using the right coloured pencils for it? If they aren't wax or oil based pencils it won't work. Prismacolor premiers are a good example of pencils that do work really well for that
