AI does produce things but creation of art is something much more complicated than merely copying and bashing together a bunch of pictures through an algorithm pipeline to get a different but similar looking result. There’s one that’s a figure study site where you can select a timer and it’ll show you a random pose to draw (or you can select)

And then there’s another that’s a model you can manipulate into whatever position. Only downside being it doesn’t understand how the body can/can’t move so you’d need to have a decent idea of what’s going on

Otherwise you’ll end up with really broken looking waifus. I’ve broken too many.

But if you either did a defined shoulder or curved the neck inward a bit (or both)

And for future reference, when you draw the torso try to break it up into squares/rectangles. Your pelvis being one, ribcage the other. That’s the easiest way yo get a decent torso shape going

And then from there it’s easier to figure out where the legs, arms, neck, all that jazz goes because you have a 3Dish torso grid to work off of

Two things you need to know: learning the basics & structure AND understanding why things are the way the are & how they work

Generally, I highly recommend Hide if you're anime-focused; he's an excellent teacher and you're going to get knowledge straight from someone who's been doing strictly pro anime for years

Josh is also very good, but he's more western-oriented. Both of them offer wildly different advice & approach to same basics, check these vids out. Maybe you'll find your own way.

I'd say Hide's vids are more complete beginner friendly; Ergojosh expects you at least did draw for a while once in your lifetime and have some basic proficiency to take his approach. Both are excellent ways to start, honestly.

Things get FAR easier once you get the basics of anatomy and can draw basic figures quickly and proficiently

And it's that point a lot of people give up on 😛 honestly

The biggest gripe is it simply requires TIME to learn and master

you won't do it in a week or two

As it all boils down to sitting and drawing for extended periods of time; not everyone can afford that (if you're an adult)

There's no way to jump over it, either

It cannot be sped up

The only question is do you have what it takes to start and continue to do so, regardless of outcomes or situations, stay sharp and on the goal

If you do, you will learn it sooner or later

From my experience, for most people, it takes about a year and a half to two, three years to master these basics

Once you do so, they can give you paper and pen and you'll be able to draw any figure in any pose and expand on that; drawing characters stops being an issue.

After that it's more of "what will I draw" or "how can I achieve a particular result"

By the way, a lot of people seem to ask about how can they learn efficiently or how there's stuff that makes them stop doing what they want to do; I'd say proper environment really helps here. De-clutter your room and have a nice space to draw, keep all the needed utensils and paper or tablet ready at hand to draw, at all the times; that way, it naturally encourages you to draw whenever you can.

It doesn't help much, when your desk is filled with crap and all sorts of distractions are abound everywhere.

If you're serious and young, I'd advice to uninstall all the games and whatnot. They're really a waste of time and will only ever keep you away from being productive.

You can keep AL though, you need to get inspiration from somewhere after all

Modern games in general are a live service, which is meant to maximize profits through money extraction and give it to the investors behind these titles. They also really don't bring anything meaningful nor teach you anything for the most part. They are meant to keep you where you are, so you'll keep giving these investors money. Simple as. When you understand that, your perception will change.

I've seen these situations over and over again. Youngsters complaining they want to learn X or Z and not getting anywhere, which only makes them feel worse and worse because they come to a conclusion they're either dumb or good-for-nothings, who will never achieve anything by themselves. Then I usually ask them, how much time do they devote to learn their skills or trade; I get a null response. Most of them are addicted to gaming or other trivial things, which only waste their precious time.

It's a problem, because nowadays we live in a highly neurotic society, where the average attention span of a person doesn't exceed a few seconds at most.

How are we supposed to learn anything in such case

A car is car. A mech is a mech. The latter allows for more leeway because it's a fictional thing. That said, nothing stops you from creating a realistic design which follows all the existing mechanical principles.

Mechs or robots can look cool, but people generally tend to think more of designs which have at least some basis in reality.

You're definitely on the right track, particularly with the lineart. You stopped scratching like a chicken and that's progression; a lot of beginner artists tend to be very afraid of their linework and have no confidence in their strokes. It's normal. As you progress and exercise your hand, your movements become more fluid, lines get smoother and it brings in confidence. Best brushstrokes are long and solid.

That said, there are certain simple hand exercises you can do to help get that eye-hand coordination, like drawing crosslines without help with as long strokes as you can while trying to keep them straight and aligned, for example

It would fit more in my opinion 7.62 machine gun instead of 12.7 - It is still very effective against infantry and unarmored targets (Possible insurgents, commandos, saboteurs and paratroopers i.e. the most likely targets in the front rear), and it is lighter and you can take much more ammunition for it. Although I won't deny that the 12.7 also has its advantages and is a better deterrent agains helicopters.

Ok so first of the girls you draw have slenderman proportions, the human cranium is a sphere not an oval, esp for the anime style, and correct me if im wrong but for ecchi stuff its extremely important for you to figure out the proportions correctly. Your drawing is really stretched on the vertical axis.

i do not see you using ref materials of sorts but good on you getting the height diff btw atago and helena kinda right (have no fuckin clue if she wears cat ears or not)

see the big picture, because based off the way you drew the hands, this tells me you didnt pay attention to the proportions of the two chars

lastly here is how i would draw this, its up to you to decide how youre going to change your drawing

this pose is pretty cramped and in the context of traditional pencil and paper, its pretty hard to do

what you should aim for is to get proportions right, meaning using huge as boxes to represent the rough size and shape of the figure you draw

look up tutorials for this part, its quite hard for me to teach you this part without typing a 10k word essay

Try looking for them specifically in thr colour you want too since diff latex colours tend to reflect differently

Like black latex straight is like a mirror while coloured ones are less thr case

Just make sure that when you're doing highlights that they aren't all 100% opaque white. There's select areas that'll reflect as pure white but the rest would be need go be less opaque to balance it out. Otherwise if everything is a harsh white highlight it starts to look less latexy and more plastic

Well less a quirk but an easy way to give off an impression of latex is to add shadowy blobs around and then add highlights bordering those areas since depending on the lighting the contrast between shadows/highlights is very high on the fabric

On pink it'll be more subtle

But pretty much just put a darkish shadow on thr opposite side of your light source on thr latex and then build off of that for highlights

You'll usually have one super transparent highlight that borders the shadow which adds the contrast (her groin region for example)

And then then the brightest highlights would be put on the highest points where the light is coming from. After that you can slowly refine it to look more latex like

Blue being shadows, yellow being highlights. This is with me going with top left downwards being the source of light

You'll want to make sure you add shadows around where the rope compresses into the latex as well

From what I can tell, yes for every area (except for the rope that goes from left hid to top right bust. That one would just be a shadow on the bottom side)

And then for the one I mentioned, you can add a harsh highlight on the opposite end. It'll give q sense of thr fabric rolling up slightly around the compressed rope

Gives more dimension to it

And then for the other areas you can add really really transparent highlights bordering thr areas around where you put the rope shadows

That'll further push the brain into thinking the rope is pushing into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it

It's just general. The ones on the top of the breast would be harsher highlights while under the breastfeeding would be extremely faint

Everything below thr breasts make them discreet at first and you can build up the shadow/highlights depending on what you think looks good and what works with the ropes

Those are mostly just bigger blocked out shapes to get an idea of about up to where the shadow/highlights would extend to in relation to the normal colour of thr suit

So kinds just go wild with it while peeking at a ref and keeping in mind the ropes and you'll slowly be able to tell what looks off or not and what needs to be darker/lighter

It's hell but once you get the vague concepts down you're pretty much good to go

And if you really want to be a try hard and further push the rope being compressive

You can add slight bulging around both sides of the ropes

You can do more bulging for say the thighs or breaststroke but the arms and abdomen and upper chest would be more subtle
