On Pixels, you can lock to portrait, but if you rotate to landscape while having such enabled, you'll be given a tiny button in the corner for a few seconds that you can tap to then lock to landscape

Found a way on entering safe mode for my OnePlus N200. I just have to hold both the power button and both volume once right before it reaches the screen lock.

There's also a recovery mode, you just have to do the same thing when you first turn the phone on.

Like I have to use an improvised kickstand using an aluminum heatsink I stole from a circuit board to balance it on my nightstand and desk because I don't have enough room to keep my monitor, soldering station, keyboard, and mouse all on one desk.
