I remember some school PCs before
Has odd shit going on screen
Due to viruses
Even one of the teachers when he seen that in my classroom pc he said “Who watched Por* on that PC”
then he just made us all stand up
Punishments weren’t strictly banned back in the days
💀💀
They were “Banned”
More like banished
Kids nowadays are more sensitive xD
I remember one of the teachers in the middle school had a stick of bamboo to hit us with
It still hurts me just remembering it xD
Since punishments are banned
Same goes for beating
I was shocked to see him not beating students with that stick of bamboo xD
Its just recently (last 5-7 years)
That punishing students in anyway got strictly forbidden
So they dont get mental issues
In my last days of school we used to tell the teacher that it’s forbidden for you to beat us, and he beat us anyway xD
At least not bamboo stick beating
💀
eh
personally i believe that synology is a temporary company
a company has rights to stop support at any moment. Why? They sell you the produt, and you "use" their software
Its pretty notorious already
yeah lmfao
i believe synology is like apple
hard to repair, pricey
but it's simple for beginners
which is what the poitn of synology is
to make things simple, at a price
cuz honestly i don't want to buy an optiplex and use that as a nas
Its not the worst idea tho
But it takes space
yeah
that's the issue
i have no space for that stuff
unless
hear me out
ethernet switch inside my room
i have 3 internet cables
1 for pc, one for mac, one for nas
i host everything inside of my room
Nice xD
that might actually work lmfao 💀
Less interference with others
My PC takes all the bandwidth from my PS4
oh lmfao
Like it shows when i use the PC
PS4 instantly gets nasty lags
L
And my brother yells xD
hahah xd
PS4 isnt great with fiber
Like, only the PS4 lags severly
Other devices are fine
I tried to use the same thing with my laptop
Doesnt cause the PS4 to severely lag
Its only my PC
Eating PS4’s bandwidth
Idk if its because i have trasmit power to highest
Or its just the PS4 having limited bandwidth
If im watching anime in FHD
PS4 instantly lags
Like one i started the episode from here
2 seconds later my brother is yelling
Im not gonna lock myself out of the internet just because the PS4 is weak (in terms of connectivity)
lol same
I have everything in my PC
I can cross play with xbox easily
And PS in some games
So yeah
nicely
Like this i can do my assignments pretty quick
Carrying a portable monitor is very useful and doesnt take space in my bag xD
If there was no Originality checker….
I could just use the text in youtube video and call it a day 🤣
I did that before
It saved me a lot of hours
Just searched about that
Results are mixed
So RIP those who used my method in videos i used
yep
So if you cheated first, you get away with it xD
I mean, my intstructor asked for summary xD
So it’s technically not cheating
The cat bitten that screen…
lmfao, i guess i just use this nas a large file dumpster
University assignments……
I have AMD GPU there which is already dead
yeah 💀
looks like it's demolished
i love NAS'S!!!! SUPER overpriced for what they do
300 bucks for a 512mb ram ass
WTF
Only IoT shit running on this small amount…..
Lmao
Now the cat is sleeping behind my portable monitor
He almost attempted to kill it, but it flooded itself xD
I guess Chinese low quality saved me this time
Well, you get what you pay for at the end
50$ portable monitor (tax included) xD
It uses only 5W of power at least (powered via either USB-C or Micro USB)
Yeah, i dont need to carry 4k 144Hz 0.1ms with me
1080p 60hz TN is good enough
without touch sadly
his first pc is better than my first pc too
yo @valid sky
he apologized
A youtuber that doesn’t fake apologies, and is actually genuine?!!!!
AAC licensing issues
expiry
they refresh an app
they’re not pulling anything down
finally
lmfao
people keyboard warriors
yeah
Louis is imo one of the Goat repairtubers out there.
btw
have you lads done a motherboard transplant for laptops?
I was planning to buy a replacement for my 10 year old HP potato but with one caveat: adding a dedicated GPU. So I'm now looking for a board kit, from the same model line, same manufacturer, same board TDP, but comes with all the bells and whistles like heatsink.
and If you're wondering how I will use it, it's mostly for being a retro machine and a home multimedia setup.
you also need the same form factor
adding the GPU alone will change the thermal design of the laptop already
same form factor, same chassis.
I think at that point it would be easier to just add a external GPU enclosure via one of tgose laptop M.2 to PCIe adaptors
The laptop will look frankenstiened af
Makes sense xD
Like my old laptop with the dead gpu
It looks frankinstiened already
So yeah…..
Its 9 years old laptop
Even it doesnt have M.2 support at all
🙏

Even if 2023 ended tomorrow, it would have been a great year for foldables. TECNO launched the cheapest book-type folder ever; Huawei raised the bar for industrial design yet again; and Oppo and Vivo refreshed the fl...
$1800 USD LMAO
I don't know what they were thinking.
Hard enough for Sammy to get a price in that range, and they move massive numbers of phones.
Foldable phones would only make sense to me if they got more reasonable prices
With phones getting more and more expensive….
To me, it's more about getting that screen to be more durable and reliable first
then the price second
gimmick
chronically online mfs
no point
would i be fine going with a feature phone? No. I do check and do homework on it (rarely)
folding phones are just a marketing gimmick, if you ask me
i don't think they have much use
In 2007, a group of scientists proposed building a 100-kilometer-long dam across the Red Sea that would generate 50 gigawatts of electricity. Discover how it works, how it could help the environment, the obstacles the project faces, and what it would take to build it in this exciting video.
Got a beard? Good. I've got something for you: http://...
purposely destroying a sea for electricity that might be unrealiable?
count me in!!!
/sarcastic
i'll listen to it later, i'm kinda busy rn
that is your own opinion and that's fine
but I can tell you that I have a use for a foldable phone
Damming right in the center of one of the most active mid ocean rift in the planet?
Like, WCGW right?
Damming the Gibraltar might actually more feasible geologically
also it's double the width of the gibraltar strait at the narrowest
So that's like around 4x more concrete than a dam at the Gibraltar straits, which even that one is very infeasible
We don't talk about the canal?
It's a 10-year-old Sandy Bridge machine so no M.2 slots.
besides, the motherboard is basically on the path of dying, and using those janky mPCI-e adapters is already short circuit hazard enough.
other parts of the laptop still works, so I just want to see if I can still keep using them or use them as spares when I got the munies to buy a used one, especially the drive, screen, and CPU.
problem with that is, at least on a different side, is that you will dry Suez out of its money maker
peak cable management
found earbuds on floor
don’t know who it is
it’s clean in wrap
i’m taking it (i lost 6 pairs already)
nvm it’s dirty
i’ll do a full sanitizer cleanse
damn
I have replacement power IC
but since UFS got fried
I have no purpose to repair it
And i have replacement battery in hand
Gonna sell that
And start saving for new phone…..
Thats not bad
Might see if i can trade-in that broken phone
yeah
Since data unit is completely dead, i wont worry about data
Lmao
kinda stole it from the gym floor
xD
yeah
But if trade-in value is below 100$
I will throw it in the drawer
If its 200$+ i’ll trade it in
My brother told me to get a mid range phone for temporary usage
I prefer waiting xD
It’ll definatly be less than 100$
Since the logic board is considered “dead”
I can live with iPhone for the next 3-6 months
honestly
uh
get a budget android
those are great
although never the best processor, they have chunky battery life
Well, i use them alot xD
Would get something not from samsung nor from huawei or xiaomi
fair
i want the oneplus budget phoens
the nord 20 5g
The issue is there is no official retailer for 1+
why? it's cheap
yeah
that's the issue
hence why it's cheap!!!
lmfao
no need for physical store costs
it's just online
I would order one from UAE (again)
my Rog Phone 3 is from UAE retailer
i'll have to buy an ifixit repair kit, an OEM battery, and adhesive
It happened to me with Rog Phone 3
like goddam am i doing surgery on a phone???
oneplus phones are pretty repairable iirc
it's like really easy
But now it’s beyond repairability
but i just don't want to deal with adhesive
Unless im getting new mobo
220$ mobo or 600$ phone
Its just an example
honestly
But would never exceed 800-900$ budget
And the battery (which i have replacement for)
If its well speced, I would consider that
Getting replacement mobo or new phone that has IP67 rating
Im starting fresh anyway
fresh?
Yeah, lost most of my data
At least non-impotent once
I never keep my important data only in my phone
Getting new phone with good chip and never worry about it for the next 5 years
Or getting mobo for outdated (but amazing) phone xD
My water damaged phone would worth way less xD
A bit over 1000$
But getting another gaming phone? Meh
Yep
it’s like 999 here
Im getting it from UAE
oh
If im
256GB (its fine)
it’s buggy (why? fuck youtube revanced that’s why)
My old phone was 512GB
but 16gb ram
Which i never filled xD
I would use that
So 1+11 is it
But i need to sell some stuff before i buy it xD
yep
If i sold my phone parts only
It worths 100$ which is meh
It looks good in my treasury
Im making a list of phones to buy
If im upgrading, i need to get something that makes sense
1+11 is nice upgrade that doesnt break the bank
2-3 months of saving up will help
If im getting samsung or rog phone 7 nah
Or i just borrow money and pay back
Its limited offer….
Or i get 1+11R with older gen specs
For 500$
150$ for 1 gen earlier CPU isnt bad deal
My other option for 650$ is Xiaomi poco F5
The only + of it is it has parts available
Which will give me less downtime
Im more comfortable with OnePlus, since these can live forever
OnePlus 11R can take my city’s humidity level better
I would consider that
I can order it from Aliexpress, but GCC warranty is a lot better
At least my warranty claim goes to UAE (900km far) is better
Instead of china with questionable warranty and/or ROM
yes
For a bit over 500$ (16GB 256GB option)
Its limited offer too so yeah…..
My options are pretty limited with my current budget
Free shipping from UAE
Why would the 8T have ever been worth 1000
Seems like Canadian customs thing
launch price
no discounts
bundle too
3 years owned the 8t
2.5 to be more accurate
got a stolen pair of earbuds to play
nicely done
Same as my Rog phone 3
If it wasnt killed by humidity I would’ve kept using it for another 3 years
ah
i still keep using my oneplus just cuz it's android
it provides the freedom for app mod and game mods that i use at home
DJI fly, modded games, youtube revanced
I will keep OnePlus in mind when i have enough money to get a phone
yesyessssss
i have oneplus fanboyism
why?
first ever phone i owned was the oneplus 8t
Unless a similiar speced phone that has better specs with same price
that's why
that'd be hard
i assume
Mine was Nokia 6630C
well my theoretical first phone was the nokia 3310
which i lost
and then it was the oneplus 8t
I went through lots of phones
Nokia 6630c > BlackBerry bold > BlackBerry curve > Samsung Note 2 > Samsung Galaxy Note Edge > Samsung Note 8 + iPhone 5s (which i got as gift) > Samsung Note 8 + iPhone 5s > Samsung Note 8 + iPhone XR > Asus Asus Rog Phone 3 + iPhone XR
Rn im using iPhone soloy until i get a new phone or a mobo
Which is shit, but idh any other choice xD
Nokia 6630c = 3 years
Blackberry Bold = 1 year
Blackbery curve = 1 year
Samsung Galaxy note 2 = 2 years
Samsung Galaxy note edge = 2 years (replaced due to power issues)
Samsung Galxy note 8 = 3 years
Asus rog phone 3 = 2.5 years (dead mobo)
In between iPhone 5s = 5 years
iPhone XR = 4.5 years
Thats my whole phones history (2008-now)
This is the first phone that gets water damaged
💀
Selling all of its accessories and spare parts that didnt came with it
Hopefully I recover more money or make some profit
The fan alone would give me 80$ (used) but it came with it so……
If someone wanted to buy the whole phone to refurbish it, im fine
I got like x10 screen protectors for it
Which didnt costed me 1$ each
Im asking 2$ each
For fan, i can ask for alot (80$ for it alone)
I mean keeping all those parts with me are useless xD
From box content only i can recover some cash xD
If there are buyers xD
10 screen protectors xD
I always break them fast
Now i have them unused xD
If noone bought them i would do some whacky experiments on them…..
hahahaha
that's unnecessary
https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/13e0ftq/pcie_50_ssds_generate_errors_shut_down_without/
Apparently not
A lot of Gen 5 SSDs are very heat intensive
Following the Corsair MP700 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD review under Linux with many readers being surprised by file-system errors when not adding extra cooling like the motherboard's passive M.2 heatsink and being curious about the situation myself, here are more tests of ultimately how this drive will reliably hit file-system errors in three minutes or ...
Different link to the issue
Gen5 SSDs are probably coming to the point where we need to design heat sinks to it
3D printers
Oooooh
noctua doesn't make fans just for pcs
Yeah ik
But I don't really remember what used 24v
Cuz I normally only hear 12v and 110v
Never 24v you know?
Lmfao
Truly a custom waterlooping xperience
Gotta add the SSD into the loop now lmfao 💀💀
Just use gen 4
There isn't much of a difference in reality
Compared from gen 3 to gen 4 (it's still so minor)
those already exist and they look goofy af lmao
Yeah lmfao
there's little point into gen 5 ssd
Hear me out
There's just no need for such a speed in any case
Gen 4 does the job
I've seen one on Godox lighting
Some server hardware have 24V wiring
Depends
DirectStorage should mean that the sequential read of a Gen5 becomes very useful
it's incredibly rare
last time I saw it was from some ancient servers
I think I've read about some custom built datacenters having 24V on the racks
the main buyer for 24V noctuas is the 3D printing and CNC industry
since those machines run 24 or 48V
eh
but still
heatsinks???
like a huge one too
jesus
yeah those ultra massive ones are just bonkers and ridiculous
i hve one preinstalled with mobo
it does okay
the 970 evo plus still gets to 70c sometimes
even DirectStorage won't push a gen5 to nowhere near it's limits or take full advantage of it
gen4 is already plenty fast
gen 5 = shit
not to mention that microsoft announced it a while ago and it's still crickets on a release date or when we'll see titles that use it
pcie gen 4 isn't maxxed out on the 4090 iirc
a tank card still doesn't max out gen 4 speeds
truly a world where we need gen 5
I do agree tho that commercial users do not need Gen5
interrupts
USB keyboard, can't relate
Yeah
Unless you run Gen 3 or before, you wont notice performance drop
Yes
Ofc
Same like 5 months ago
Time is flying fast xD
I remember upgrading like it was yday xD
Also my PCIe Gen 3 is working fine for me
Also been using mined RTX 3060Ti for 3 months
No issues whatsoever
Well. Just like gen 4, I'd wait a while before messin' with 5.
which then i stillw ouldn't upgrade because if gen 5 has a good deal
why not go for gen 4's deal?
bro has 2k ping 😭
how to fix
cuz i'm so genuinely lost
i don't know how to help him with such shitty internet
Can't do pingplot or something to find which section of the network fails?
could also be a node on the route that shat the bed
so until BGP announces new routes he's gonna have to live with it
Only one out of ten so likely client side
Tho if it's their backbone then probably there's nothing much to do
Doesnt work well with LCD screen…
I just hope its not one of those very weak vacuum cleaners
This would be super useful (for me)
Unless it has very good amplifier, its claims are huge
5v 2a input , 12v 8a output
It's aliexpress, what do you expect?
If you're that determined to buy stuffs from ali, you'd probably get better luck buying board modules and assembly yourself
Buying gadgets/end products from there usualy won't end well unless you really know where to look at
90% of the products that i bought from there are good
The usual XL6009 module
It's good until you actually stress test them
These modules for example often advertise 4A inductor current, with an inductor that looks nowhere near capable of 2A Irms
Derate it 50% and the 5V 2A rating now sounds to be the correct one
Which means 12v 0.8A output
One thing I often found is that their quiescent current varies wildly from samples to samples
The only thing i had that exceeded its spec was laser distance measurement tool
It claimed 50m range
It only stopped reading after 55m
Tested it with known distance to test its accuracy, it was accurate
I won't be surprised if that thing uses this module inside, or at least the same base
And just like any boost converter ever, no the 2A limit is not for output current, it should be the input current...
I did torn down one of old Chinese door bell, its literally using Arduino module in there
Was bough from Chinese market (not online one)
yes
xD
Lmao
Battery life = forever
m2 macbook air
so
the m2 SoC
that shit is efficient
my cpu (11400f) draws 100w on load
this entire SoC does 15w
yeah lmfso i get this thing to go weeks without charge
since i use it at school
2-3 hours a day for 2 weeks
what the duck is an i5 12450
i thought there were only 1x400 and 1x500 cpus
Laptop chips
intel been weird nowadays
there is a lot of 12x50s
i5 12450 (laptop). i7 12650(laptop)
these are H series
not P series for thin/light laptop
Wasnt it U?
different
idk 12 gen laptop chip is a mess
but its there and its real
Ah i see xD
I accidentally accessed my portable monitor’s user interface xD
Freesync support on 40$ monitor xD
And was able to set it to English instead of the default (Chinese)
OFC HDR IS SHIT
THE QUALITY IS SO MUCH BETTER NOW
after manually calibrating
But its still TN
Cursed
Im using Corsair K70 for 3 years, still in love with it
Would buy one of those modular keyboards
I have a K68
It's ass
Neither
The K68 is the water proof one
Yeah, it has that membrane-ish feeling….
The K70 still resists splashes pretty well xD
the only liquid that is remotely close to the keyboard is IPA
and that won't kill it if it gets spilled
My K70 got through coffee and water spills
And even cola spills
The only thing died was the 2 or 3 media control buttons
The rest works well
I never keep drinks remotely close to the keyboard
i do, but they're mostly really shallow in the cup so that it doesn't really spill
the office chair i currently has caused an entire array of scratches and dents to the floor, jeez
this is unsatisfying
No, it's just an utterly normal mechanical keyboard
Damn, thats cheap
That's why I use apple music UWP
doesn't boot up
Crashes when navigating menus too quickly
Absolutely zero cache cleanup and no sound check
i dislike steam because of how ridiculous it boots up
discord at least boots up in the background
but for steam? NO LMFAO it shows up on the screen
with an ad too
it be working doe
it's downloading really slowly, unfortunately
i'll need an internet switch and a ladder to wire a cable to the otherside of the room via the ceiling
it's actually running holy
gonna do some keymapping
the thing is it's an m series, so i can emulate the ipad pro series
Nice
yesssir
and i have like 30k oil to consume
so i'm fine with running level 8-4 with a 6-6 team
although the battery is starting to lose the chug lmfao, you could see the percentage slowly dropping
might be a long shot but is anyone familiar with SQL and can give me some help/advice LOL
I have a lot of junk running if it wasnt for it xD
I removed many apps
so
how far Bluetooth 5.3 range is?
I'm about to get sceptic about the ranges that were displayed on some sites
240m or some shit
but in reality, my tws does support Bluetooth 5.1, but the connection will just cut off exceed the range of 10 meters or something
it also depends on the quality of the antenna and the tranciever power output
most of these products use a PCB or ceramic antenna which is absolute crap for range
I compare the CS:GO and CS2 versions of Overpass, using the images and videos available to us so far. Enjoy!

All OnePluses here are +150-200$ from that UAE site 😦
The problem with that site is some phones are Chinese with Global ROM flashed
At least i wont pay tax
Tax alone is 100$
yeah
azur pané wsrms the mac up
but it’s actually really stable, for its rendering in 2x
240m is for LE stuff, like beacons, at most peripherals
If you need pairing it's a lot less, and even less for high datarate transfer like A2DP/audio stuffs
It's more like you can hear someone talking at 50 meters away but don't expect to hold conversations about quantum physics with them on anything more than 5 meters away
just realized, my discord client might not work once they roll out the new "remove 4 digit numerator" for discord
Seems like its the time to DIY some AC cleaning…..
20$ labor every time AC gets clogged…
Same reason why i became my home’s electrician its just pure laziness xD
Im too lazy to bring AC technician
20$ because i live in a place where people are not the richest
Some places they charge up to 50$ in labor for unclogging the AC….
Unless its a big job, i try to avoid hiring labor for a simple job……
If i have space i would even change my car’s oil in home xD
But the labor to change car’s oil is 10$ (which doesn’t really worth it)
Unless im lazy to drive to closest oil shop 🤣💔
Being lazy makes me do stuff myself 🤣💔
well then kiss your insurance goodbye
the reason you need to call in a plumber, electrician, etc is because they're certified at least to make a job up to standard
and if you don't then your insurance agent will either not reimburse you at all in case of loss of housing
or pay you a small amount or raise the insurance cost sky high
so for tws and stuff, 10m is benevolent enough for it to be connected fairly?
Bluetooth has always been 10m range...
And that might be quite generous depending on how crowded your 2.4GHz bands are
the hundred meters claims are usually for BLE stuffs, usually low data rate one way/half duplex communication
regarding interference, your BT are guaranteed to be shit when there are four or more 2.4G WiFi in your area
not really
the test fixtures for these protocols have proper antennas and filters
and wifi won't actively interfere with BT outside of just raising the noise floor if there's enough access points around

the main issue why bluetooth has such piss poor range in most consumer devices is because they are designed with a specific goal in mind, of which maximizing range or optimizing spectral radiation is not one of them
If you're using BLE beacon, you can achieve ~100m range with commercial devices
patch antenna and stuffs
been there, done that for telemetry
Still inferior to LoRa or CC1300, but doable if you don't want to roll your own device
I actually have a lot of experience with LoRa and semtech's chips
It's great for low rate telemetry
Kinda like how it's doing the spread spectrum
of which the antenna guy don't particularly like...
we're working in the 100km range
same
4kbits is low rate for us lol
imagine transmitting vibration sensor data at that range
well you're not sending any video over that link
is it a drone by chance
or well UAS
Well, you can say that
because that's exactly what I use it for
are you working for raytheon or smth lol
because 10W data links with such specs is close to what they need for their strike UAVs
let's say i'm technically still civilian
yeah so our fields are awfully close
doe ours is for recreational and small business
while you're closer to the government and military applications
Lol, I'm definitely already in a list somewhere
you and me both
Simply because of the amount of EAR stuffs I buy off digikey or something
well I haven't worked wuth high end thermal stuff
This is just me asking where tf an exposed copper pad at the bottom of their package is connected to
lmao
Hold on why lmao
because they're restricted hardware
or well regulated
you need to prove you own them or have the authorization to look at those documents
Ah
This isnt the case here
Even the AC technician isn’t certified xD
The only reason i would not do that is the risk of damaging something….
Testing time
Cant handle high amperage xD
As expected
Nah, its just the PC port doesn’t supply enough power
1A max
nice specs
yes
haha
ok but is it really emulation if you're emulating your own soc 😂
scale
If Azur Lane was on Nokia:
one M.2 SDD
one 2.5" SDD
two 2.5" HDD in docks
one 3.5" HDD
Nice xD
I have like 9 2.5” HDDs that barly work
2 or 3 of them are completely dead
1 or 2 that slows down whatever is connected to
1 of them filled with old viruses (that even windows defender can catch)
The rest works normally
The ones that are in use are:
500GB M.2 NVme
512GB SSD
4TB 5400 RPM 3.5”
1TB 7200 RPM 3.5”
I'm looking for the 4TB one for my laptop, 2.5" 7200RPM would be nice
with that time I got my laptop from 20% to full
even less
That reminds me with those crappy 5W chargers
it's because charging the last 20% of a battery takes the longest
and gives the least gains
I noticed that
0-80/90% in no tome
Last 10% slow
And even wattage drops significantly
the way you do that last bit of charging is by doing a constant voltage charge where the battery basically sips amps to slowly charge up to 100%
Like to below 5W
from 0 to 80% it's done in constant current mode where the voltage varies to keep the current draw constant
which is why it's the fastest
WTF, I connected my headphones completely wireless without any communication between them xD
Idk how
But since it works that way, its gonna be useful af xD
That USB cable is for charging xD
This is one of the most useful things i bough
I can turn anything into bluetooth
Also the quality is surprisingly amazing
Added to my toolbox
Gonna use it with my TV today (since that one has terrible bluetooth connectivity)
Might convert my Corsair Virtuoso SE to bluetooth capable (assuming i don’t mind this piece dangling)
And it has enough power to drive the headset (i doubt it)
Having the Virtouso makes me look like im rich, but i got it for less than 100$ xD
From 250$

Now it's making clicking sounds
(school computer btw)
Update: its the fan, and it's dusty asf
@hexed citrus so that means the final 20% cannot be rushed?
but then again
macbooks last insanely long on a single bit of charge
I wouldn't charge past 85%
drones u say
since there’s applecare
lipo batteries
unless i plan on flying right after the charge
i leave them at 80-90% for temporary
75% at storage
what about lipos again?
u do fpv flying?
yes
not the most expensive
well yeah lol
friend of mine likes bikes
mf is planning to get a 2k bike
just
JUST LIKE HTAT
he already has like 4 💀
but i odn't have a hobby much
i just get a little bit of money and i upgrade my pc or improve my room
well hobbies are for disposable income
We're sharing spicy pillow collection now?
This is some advanced engineering bullshit
Easiest is to charge LiPo with Li-Ion profile
yo @ArdWar is it good to charge with a lion profile
that is how u get spicy pillows
the bad ones
Can anyone figure out whats that? xD
I extracted this from a device thats not in service anymore
Close enough
Its modem card
Why i got that, out of boredom
Found a modem that doesnt work anymore
Decided to tear it down
I got this out of 11 years old modem
yeah so a LTE or 3G card
then that's LTE
Yep
LTE isn't even 11 old yet in most countries...
Eh it works, for most charger it just move the cutoff from CC to CV to 4v1 instead of 4v2
ik
i mean that my Nokia was 3G
and 4G LTE compatible stuff was first introduced here in 2010
after having a almost house fire due to a lipo I'm not taking chances
they all stay in fire retardant bags and near the window so I can toss them into the garden if they combust
It should be safe unless there's some funny chemical reaction that I don't know of
Tho I'm also not charging any faster than 1C by principle
same
It's the 1 hour (dis)charge rate
A battery with 1234 mAh capacity will have 1C rate of 1234 mA
Hobby batteries often have claimed max charging rate of 5C, but I rarely encounter one that can do so without getting puffy
oooh it's a charge/discharge rate of a battery
i see
that's cool
i don't really know the C's of my drone
why? It's not an FPV drone, so I don't bother with knowing the details of it
Commercial product deals with battery management and protection internally by necessity, even if that means it ends up with proprietary system
I certainly won't be comfortable trusting manually charging lithium to random average Joe, let alone NFPA
Even more so if it involves unattended charging
never leave batteries on the charger unattended
Maybe I worded that poorly. I don't trust average person to fully supervise battery charging
"But I just went to mart for only 5 minutes"
that's enough to burn down the house
hell I don't leave the room where they charge until they're off the charger
I just don't expect commercial product end user to commit or care that much. DIY drone builders, sure. But not from those buy off DJI type users.
When dealing with consumer product, any rechargeable battery will invariably need to be engineered to be handled just like phone battery regardless of what you put in the manual
Like those hand tools battery. Can't expect users to care that much hence the overly conservative charging
bcz the dumbasses with DJIs or Autels are the ones ruining it for everyone
