i always do like 2300-2400 per year
But I'm after a stroke and I have a higher limit 2600 per year
before oc both with normal setting
i9 13gen and rtx 4090 eat like 900W
Corsair HX1500i 1500W 80 Plus Platinum 310 $ Auch
Problem is new i5 13600k
@kind rivet
can use like 250W
and hot af
96*C with AIO 360mm

damn 96 c thats hot
but check score
i5 13600k
from 17k 12gen to 24k 13 gen
in game the same
OP CPU
my mom alrd screaming after i bought new pc after shes see the energy bill
not sure gonna upgrade to gen13
they relase new product so fast
not like past few years
4k youtube + some open tabs + download + azurlane cpu
GPU
i have this shit to test how much
but in wardrobe
with monitor 29 inch etc
150W
now enegry 1kwh after all taxes etc cost here like 0.16-0.18$
In next year
if u have more than 2k kwh
will be
can run ultra 4k? with 3070?

hmm
im planning to change my vga to 4090
how much the ideal psu for that
wait
i even forgot i use what cpu
oh wel its i9 12900kf
650 enough ?
damn
ddr5
32?
cooler?
yee
some extra fans?
800W
without OC
1000W
my friend have ryzen 9 5900x and rtx 3090
and when he turn on bench gpu+cpu
pc turn off
xD
he have only 750W psu

i have
well i need to buy this
yea
kinda rising psu
IN 2022 - 176USD
IN 2018 - 123USD
yea
a lot of people selling without app online shops
reseller
200$ more than normal price
the cheapest on sale now
what u can buy like now

you do not need that much computing power
if u need some good quality
if the motherboard you bought somehow doesn't have a audo decoder, then probably
oh i see
my
i just plug heasset
have good quality headset too
not worrying about soundcard
a sound card is already a rare pokemon
i'l go read some review
Audio-Technica is good too
u need set up this headsets in audio settings
or they will blow up
xD
Ohm settings
Believe it or not I've gotten a 5900x and 3090, with an open loop to run perfectly fine on a 750w PSU
I was just experimenting but it werked
It was a brand new Corsair 750 Platinum SFX PSU
check it

Yeah prime95 just does that lol
Also don't mind me asking but how come you went with an internal sound card over an external DAC?
i always wanna buy it
to try it
and its just better
many settings u can change
what type of speakers u have
how far they are
what height are they
what type
I wanted a sound card but my mic already needs an XLR interface so I figured it would be wasteful to have both
i use ath-m50 audio settings for headset
what is great for this headset
more sick i cant do like 55% more volume
its like 110 decibels
xD
I would imagine so yeah
i have only 40W speaker s
but they are great
with this
creative too
i dont only 1
they dont have setting to this speakers inside
it will be cool if they add all creative speakers settings
headsets they have many setups
Speakers are a no go for me because I don't live alone sadly
If I lived alone I would totally get a speaker setup going
i can get only some small speakers
And use a HTPC for almost everything
i dont have space on desk
if i have more space
i will buy like BIG ONE
soo i buy like some small one
Right now my headphones do well enough anyway
They're closed back but I can open them when I'm alone
I got the LCD-2 closed, then 3d printed some open back covers for them
and build in qualizer
They look and sound awesome
Nice
Ye
what i have like 14cm
normally i will buy
but they are huge af
2 speakers 256W
xD
20kg
Edifier is popular here
they sell many types of speakers
30-700usd
time to sleep
Those seem nice
i nearly bought an AE-9

but apparently its microphone input is mono
which is the most bizarre thing i can imagine on a card that is meant to be their highest end product
I plug my DT770 Pros into the motherboard directly
the amp in it is more than enough to drive them
that's what I like about Audeze
these things run off just about anything
so long as I can adapt it to 1/4"
Hello! I have been working on this video for a few weeks to get this JUST RIGHT! This is the KatWalk C2, the newest VR omni-directional treadmill allowing you to walk, swim (sort of), Run, Jump, and ride horses within VR pushing immersion to the absolute extreme.
This is my review of the product, mind you I haven't had the chance to use it mor...
we still need few more years
don't know when this feature was introduced but i noticed it just today
youtube now has a little "bleedout" effect from the video player
so some colours of the video with bleed out of the player and a bit further onto the rest of the layout
it's nothing crazy and arguably unnecessary but i think it looks pretty cool
it dynamically changes with the video as it plays too
it's not instant, and it looks like it takes advantage of the already buffered data for the video to sort of "predict" what colour it needs to be, in that video, for example, it started shifting to white like 2-3 seconds before the moka pot pouring b roll was over
i might be nerding out a bit more than i should over this but i'm just really impressed by the feature lmao
same idea as the TV backlighting
where it creates this feeling of immersion and that the screen or in this case video frame is bigger
Damn my boi alessandro masala
it's ya boy shy
and yeah ROG monitors and those clips of people coming up with their own backlight setups is what it reminded me off aswell
i love bias lighting
but this so called core sync lighting is way too dim
and philips is still the only television maker that has it inbuilt
i'm considering buying the govee immersion kit, but it's not exactly perfect
went looking to see if it works on my end but i don't have it (yet?)
Today we dive into a video that has been on my mind and in the words for a LONG time. For the first time I put together all of the world's craziest VR hardware that anyone can purchase and recreated the setup found in Ready Player One's books/ movie.

Waiting for your phone to charge sucks. As someone who constantly is forgetting to ...
OR just buy not apple
what have "fast" charging
i can do like 22W in my iphone
My last phone 40W
oppo, oneplus, xiaomi, realme etc have like 60W+ in many phones

Introduction
Recently, Xiaomi updated their 120W GaN fast charger from USB-A to USB-C.
It only takes about 15 mins to fully charge some Xia...
looks sick inside
i am using now
this model have like 3 years
new one have 100W+
cable
its price from last year
now its
10.50
lightning port sucks
phones don't need this 60W+ charing capabilities
the only thing you're doing is making a spicy pillow inside your phone
it's only rarely useful when you're in a pinch and need a quick juice up
for me 40W is like the best
20W in apple is ehh slow
14 pro have 27W?
@hexed citrus Xiaomi 50W wirless charger need activ cooler inside
there is fan inside
wireless chargers are a waste beyond the 5-10W
since they're meant to slowly charge your phone while you sit at your desk
not be a replacement to a cable
i have 3 wirless chargers
1 in lamp what i use
and 1 magnet and 1 normal
this lamp one is 15W
some cheap crap but works fine
I charge my phone at 15W usually
30W if I'm in a hurry
and some of them even after years of me using them have kept their battery life in a good condition
obv not as great as originally but still decent
on at&t they have like fake 5g
like i have a old LG phone that doesnt support 5g at all but it says i still get 5g
i am using now apple but i will back to android
i wanna try samsung but pillow battery problem
i always buy flagship
or this one good price
and have this new 200mpx sensor
in raw 1 photo 100mb xD

800$
its
I have already used 2 xiaomi, now one has my grandmother and the other my father
still works fine
why do people care so damn much about camera quality
Well, you don't want it look pixelated and all
unless you are a professional photographer, not really worth going higher
you also have a dedicated DSLR/mirrorless cameras
Iphones have like one thing over android and its not even that important
all mobile phone cameras suck
the only way the make them look good is the post processing algorithms
or to introduce bigger camera sensors
but yeah.. at that point buy a freaking camera
Mfw I care about mobile phones camera because I need to use it zoom in on distant stuff to read it
better than bringing binoculars ig
And my care is basically "I want the camera to zoom in and not be shit quality"
me explaining to my sister to not buy a huawei for the camera + it doesn't have google.
She sell it and buy iphone 12 pro
Womanโ
To be frank, an iPhone is better than Huawei so I can understand the decision

maybe someone with vision issue?

god people thinking everyone has perfect vision
if only there was something that you could buy\
to put on your face
to improve your vision all the time
yknow like little pieces of glass that go over your eyes
I mean you don't know the person you're talking to and just assuming the simplest of the answer

also let me buy zooming glasses
๐ง
literally
what do you need to zoom in that much for
if you cant fucking read thats your own issue
people have different needs
en moment
god you sound and probably are douche ๐
you can't see, don't buy with your money stuff that can help you to zoom in
buy a pair of glasses that can 100x zoom instead and if you can't that's your own issue
๐
if you dont agree or what I say you're projecting/wrong etc
my guy
did you even read what i said
what do you need to zoom in that much for
youre literally acting like a douche
"what are you zooming in on so often you need a 1500$ iphone for"
can't even quote yourself
๐
and they literally said to read
i need to quote myself exact?
well there is a difference in meaning there
youre really helping your case of not being a douche

I mean just laying you fact and you act all mighty assuming people may or may not need something
as if you could say what they're allowed to spend and on what to spend on
if thats what you want to believe
if you think you're arguing poor boi
๐
also the fact I am a mod has nothing to do with it
yeah poor me for asking a simple question
even more stupid reasoning
I mean you assumed people don't need such things
and mentioned if they cant read it's their issue
you more stupid than I thought completely missed the context of the topic and what the user mentioned
๐
yes yes im the douche
Bro even $2k cameras have absolutely terrible displays for actually looking at stuff
regardless of that argument:
buy a camera which is bulkier has basically one functionality over a smartphone that can do pretty much everything a camera can do and more
literally
you mean the viewfinder?
No i mean the display
(isnt that the same thing)
dude can you seriously go
The viewfinder is the tiny little thing you look through
somewhere else
well no
get off my ass

I dont think mirrorless ones even have a viewfinder, i think they just use the display
I literally answered a question
god you sound and probably are douche ๐
excuse me
nothing
no

its not nothing
dw
what the fucks your problem
again I didnt realised it was you
if I did I would have not wasted my time even making a point
literally what is your problem
youre literally being a douche right now you dense asshat
okay
Speaking of cameras, anyone got recommendations of some full size DSLRs?
I got a full set of film camera equipment from my grandpa and want to get a digital to use it with
I tried the R5
and I very much liked it
it was available at uni in the film studies section
What brand?
Ah, i do want one with a mirror though
EOS 5D Mark IV?
EOS should be your lineup if you like mirror
EOS 1D X Mark III was something a friend of mine has for his photography. He usually does weddings etc
hefty prices though
any other mod would have banned you
btw @quartz atlas
did I tell you I bought a domain now?
planning to deploy many services I use at home
all through docker though

exciting stuff
maybe both
but yeah
working on getting docker containers to be secured
with authelia + SSO and MFA

also icloud so cheap ngl
Nothing is scam af

Apple v.2.0
they can suck my......

There was many sale with this headphone for like 65-70Euro
hahahaha
F Arutezza lmao
If you say so lol
I will not be surprised about a price increase of tws earbuds
given the current inflation situation
but I never cared about tws earbuds
I still use wired headphones, and I plan on buying wireless speakers
and then comes the hypercompetitive tws market thanks to known Chinese IEM makers making tws iems
it's probably outperformed anyway
that' s a big mark up
Every day at work
oh wait he's gone lmao
yes he is
for real talk tho
I have 20-20 vision and I can attest that having something capable of optical zoom on you at all times is super useful
I have 20-10 vision and I can say that digital zoom on cameras is crap, my eyeballs can see better
well yeah that's digital zoom for you
my phone does 10x optical zoom

also bro what are you talking about, even the iPhone has 3x optical zoom
the camera assembly can do proper full frame zoom up to 2x, 3x is achieved with some software magic by reducing the active area of the sensor
either way my phone blows 2x optical out of the water lol
I have some of the sensors that are used in phone cameras
and with the right optics you can get even better images out of them
but processing all that data is difficult
anyone know why msi afterburner says the gpu usage is 98% but windows says its 11%?
like i can hear the fans spool up on my gpu like its really being stressed, and yet windows thinks its still idling
afterburner takes the core usage
task manager takes only 3D loads
ah i see
the am5 motherboards are too darn expensive
welcome to bleeding edge
something about her hairstyle and just the colours make it look like a picture from the 70s
it does

should have code reviewed and tested in CI before pushing to PROD
๐
is there any difference of image quality when I go with different brand on camera company?
I used Sony A6000 mostly
There is a lot of things that can be different
It mostly comes down to lense and sensor quality
And then theres also how well it can auto focus on objects or post processing or whatever on the software side
maybe I'll just try 200mm lens first. because thats what I needed
go to DPReview or something and pixel peep yourself
the unspoken supposed secret is that sony semi is basically making most of the sensors of on the market, but canon is probably the other one that has their own sensor production
but for most part it comes down to optics and your preferences for handling and use
because I'd say sony/nikon/canon really do have a noticeable advantage in focusing versus the smaller brands
in that their tracking systems are far more accurate
less prone to being confused
well for now anything is fine.
just it doesn't work well with lowlight
when it comes to leica, they're essentially fanciful versions of panasonic's lumix G and S models, but
also focus is sometimes weird
one thing that I noticed.
most people use Fuji for Wedding
you'll probably want to dig into the sensor specifications if absolute still image quality is your first priority?
like having a BSI large sensor
will inevitably provide better results in general
might be the combination of fujifilm having some affordable models and that they have pretty excellent glass for the short to middle-long lengths
as well as fuji having some "film simulations" that people like, so they're popular for portraiture
unless the photographers you are mentioning are using GFX models which are medium format (i.e. larger than full-frame) which are often cited as ideal for portraits
like studio photographers who have the means would probably gravitate towards the GFX models because they're probably the most affordable medium format brand on the market
and being a studio camera means its increased weight and size isn't much of an issue
i'd also suggest you consider what you might intend to shoot or how you intend to use the camera, because the sensor size argument also affects lenses and overall portability
a smaller sensor can make do with smaller lenses
my senior said because mostly I go into videography they recommend me A7C
a lumix GM1 for example is practically pocketable
the alpha 7c is an oddball because it's almost as small as the smallest despite packing a full-frame sensor, but that does compromise its handling
it's quite good in still images, its video functionality is middle class
but it's mainly only desirable if you want the smallest full-frame camera possible
it can also get away with using non-FE lenses because iirc it has an option to digital crop the sensor
i.e. the sensor only uses the same area of an aps-c sensor instead of the entire full-frame area so it doesn't end up capturing a dark border
which means imho i find that fascinating because the A7C pretty much gets both you a compact APS-C and a FF package
hmm
however on the note of video capability i wouldn't firmly recommend it because it doesn't really have a lot of comfy grip, unless you want to use a gymbal, plus it only has one SD card slot and so-so battery life
if you're hard into video you might prefer something with two card slots or even a CF-express slot for pro-res capable
i used dummy battery most of the time. also have 2 spare battery
because the battery can only give 20 minute of video recording or it just overheat and shut off
smaller cameras have a higher tendency to overheat
panasonic has generally been considered the dominant choice for portable video because they just seem to have the most video related features, but their still performance is a little behind the curve for the MFT models
their S lineup is quite capable though from what i understand
that said the GH5/GH5S/GH6 are famed for video use, if you don't mind their inability to phase detect, especially since the smaller sensor makes for even better stabilisation
that said i think the latest canons/nikons/sonys are also claiming like 6 or even 7 EV of stabilisation so make what you will of that
olympus (now OM System which is a daft name really) is also actually very good for handheld video simply by virtue of stabilisation
also because the MFT lenses are just so light and portable
if you are already using sony lenses, instead of the A7C, you might want to consider the A7S line instead, which apparently is the video optimised model
mine is just a kit included lens(16-55mm)
and sigma 30mm 1.4 E mount
so, same consumption as before
top model will be 7900xtx or 7950xt/xtx
so this can be like budget version with normal TDP

Those decoupling caps aren't exactly that out of ordinary tbf
You can lose a couple (or more) of power pins and it'll be fine
not about pins
Losing one of the high speed differential pairs however
that's just power plane decoupling, you're probably fine with some missing

literally been doing qa for the last 2 months basically
it's annoying
and so boring
oof
also because people legit do not document anything
we're migrating some dbs and people in their JIRA ticket just say "pr merged" "models done"
like ok?
what are the source tables? models created? any notes? intermediate models?
I got handed over some projects and it's a bit annoying that some do not have complete documents
yeah must be the worst
Mine's much more hardcore
I got assigned to a project that just spawned out of thin air
I told my technical project lead that next time would be good to have a final jira ticket with a summary of the repo
Like, the head of the department literally drew a wireframe and then told me to get going

The guy that were going to hire chose another offer that paid better
interesting
I have few others I'd like to look into but I do not wanna overload myself
also because my team has the most utilisation of the entire business
and my hod is slightly annoyed as we literally have no time for self-dev for certs etc
You do NoSQL too?

What are you working on now?
also I have some new server updates
been able to deployed securely my first service (still need to fix no trust stuff e.g. CF tunnels)
now I am trying to implement SSO
Android apps as usual
still kot?
Authelia probs
Java
I just need to propose it to my boss and dept head
We're quite traditional
C, Java, and .NET
They've only recently upgraded to .NET core iirc
Don't get me wrong I did like Java at the beginning but fell in love with python
The senior java devs left except for one
they are out of jobs :mudnaruhodo:
Python really makes life easier
it does
Nope, got better offers
yeah I imagine
older software will probably require maint + features
do not see any reason for new soft to be dev in Java
oh yeah that true
I did not keep up with PHP much but I agree
PHP is very spaghetti
I did not like it at first but you can hack whatever you want into it
I was planning to rehost a dead project on my server
all written in PHP
but I'd hope someone will rewrite this and make it better
I do not have time to look into something else right now
Looks interesting
I have pixiv for the gud stuff
with some filtering and premium you can get some really gud stuff
it's to find specific things I look for
you have tags
you can reverse search images on it
I use it as saucenao to find things
as saucenao does not index reddit even though it was mentioned to the dev
bcz reddit is 99% reposti
they can index specific subreddit if needed
I am thinking of specifc subs for sauces
??
no it's more reverse searching specific images on specific subs to find the source
tags would be too manual effort
also because reddit word search kinda sucks
I simply don't use reddit in the first place
most of my good stuff is off of twitter and/or pixiv
which have tags by default
oh yeah for fanarts for sure
so it's super easy to find shit
gonna be real here
pixiv tags are absolute ass
no one tags their shit properly
Artists will add some obscure af tag like "absolutely beautiful and round booty", then forget to even tag the characters name
@versed blade my trusty keyboard is on its last legs it seems like
some of the LEDs started decaying and some of the switches have issues
build one
easier said than done
I have the skills and tools to make a fully custom keyboard
but what I want to too expensive to make a one off of
ramzh we're talking 1k$ in aluminum alone
honestly I do not see an issue
slowly but surely
Like it's a one off
might as well
also it's fun
because it's not worth
then you dont need such kb
it's like I have to buy two slabs of aluminum to machine the case out of
then anodize them to the proper color scheme
then build the circuitboard and order that
then order the switches and keycaps
then assemble all of that
you can do it
or just solder new switches
although, if several switches are dying, then all the others might be as well
which is just more work
Contract a machine shop on Alibaba to machine and anodise the case
It's super cheap
I got a quote from a machine shop to make an entire replica Caselabs SMA8 using stamped and machined parts, total cost was just over $1100 USD.
It's safe to say that two large machined parts won't cost nearly as much
they'll cost more
stamping is dirt cheap
milling is not
especially milling using a 5D toolhead
stamped and machined parts
you ain't making a keyboard chassis out of sheet metal
.. at that point just buy a mass produced chasis
He's too Dutch for that
a case is mostly sheet metal
a keyboard chassis is made 90% out of a solid block of aluminum that is carved out
only the top plate you could maybe make out of sheet metal
With flush welds you could make the whole thing out of sheet metal, but even still it wouldn't cost over 1k to machine the thing
obv making smth like that in mass production isn't viable so casting or extrusion forming is a lot faster and cost effective for a business
which is why you can bring the cost down on the standardized ones
and also bulk order discounts
Yeah so looking back into it
