google software devs seem pretty terrible. or maybe their philosophy is just terrible. seems like google always does subpar mediocre versions, releases them, and then stops working on them
have you looked in the 3 dot menu there
because there's an option to minimize the window frame bar into a slot sized touchpoint
people love to hate on samsung for being bloated or something
i prefer to think of it as having everything you need in the system already
anything you think you need or want
and install a third party app for
is probably already doable in vanilla samsung experience
all those fancy new "amazing features" in android 12L?
been using them for years via one ui
think they have the nav bar buttons backwards?
just swap them
it takes less than a minute
want more buttons? you can do that too
want android gestures? sure of course you can have those too
power users are missing out by thinking it's "bloatware" when said power users cry for "vanilla" and then have to patch all the missing things with third party alternatives
It feels good going back to Samsung indeed, especially having OnePlus for two years and having issues with it, besides the charging port failing (though I did refuse to repair it, because my mindset was to switch back to Samsung in the end). So yeah, done with that whole ordeal. Never buying another OnePlus ever again
This S21 FE is good for its price
not all of them were in one ui
some of them arrived in one ui with 12L
name one
quick access taskbar
and no the side drawer doesn't count
on what, a samsung tablet?
yes
yeah how about adding that to a phone
available on the fold
fold 4
on the phones no because not enough space
the 3 doesn't have it
well guess what i've had it
nor the 2 nor the 1
it's all been available via goodlock modules
basically everything google is adding have been good lock modules for months
i suppose then the catch is that; yes, they are not in one ui by default, but good lock is a one ui exclusive, and everything i've used in it eventually became an "android feature"
except for navbar button icon customization and task switcher style
or idk the extended customization for the notification toggles
exactly, not built-in, which makes your point the same at the ones wanting vanilla and then installing mods
goodlock mods are still mods at the end of the day
they're one ui integrations
but the fact of the matter is that samsung has already had everything google is touting as amazing new android 12l features
also keep in mind samsung and google are working closely together for the past years
so a lot of what samsung has made can't be granted 100% to them
they pick the best of both worlds and add that to android
would be nice if google wasn't so slow with it
just like how wear OS got revived by getting the openness and widespread use of android with the UX and layout of Tizen
or idk
people would stop hating on samsung when they're the ones who probably got google to even implement those features
people that hate on samsung are the same people that buy an iphone so go guess
google apparently thinks flip to silence was a revolutionary enough feature
to put on a marketing pamphlet for a pixel

not to mention i see some article about google having a severe glitch in each pixel update
every other week
what is this, windows 11 patch thursday?
anyhow good lock may be "mods" samsung first party mods or not
but the big difference is they don't require root like most other ways of deep customization would
because they're already one ui integrated
people haven't been rooting their phones for years now
because the API now offers a much deeper level of customization and access
not for the ways good lock lets you
there you go hating on apple man. I think it could be everyone who hates on them.
even ppl that use their phones
for example. why is samsung deceving europeans by putting the snapdragon in the full specs list- and then when you press "purchase" on their website, they link you to a "regional site" without telling you, and change the cpu without mentioning it. pretty shady.
why did they forcibly implement bixby for many years. even going out of their way to remove the "remap custom patches" for the physical hardware buttons on S8 to S10
i legit waited with buying their phone, until they finally gave up on bixby. (the S20)
can't believe they get away with that SD/Exy thing
On the other hand it's also a bit surprising no one is bothered by them using same marketing name for different SKU.
I know there's no legal obligation for such disclosure beyond "not outright deceiving", but still...
Thankfully the S21 FE that I bought is Snapdragon 888, even though there are some versions that are Exynos as well. FE known to being mainly SD though
But yeah, rumors are going around that Samsung will finally ditch Exynos and only go with Snapdragon versions for the time being
Another rumor that Samsung might switch to Mediatek chips, so time will tell what happens exactly
Exynos
oh please you're acting like you bought a GT730 for the price of a RTX 3090
Is.. that a problem suddenly?
I'm confused about your toxicity, because I haven't said anything controversial
People doesn't seem to need a superuser app like Magisk these days, partly because Android itself gets more customizable than ever, and partly because of SafetyNet
Obviously they wouldn't want to go through the trouble of making their banking apps barely function on a rooted device
I'm one of the few people who are really indifferent to any smartphone and doesn't seem to like smartphone nerds infighting
I'm also a fan of some of Apple's products, like Shazam
But that's really it

the apple haters usually seem pretty unreasonable
and apple-fans i think often just leave the conversations if someone hates
Eh. Been running a 6a with Graphene lately. Gotta say I'm not hugely missing being rooted.
I've been there before myself, I used to be one of those 14 year olds who hates Apple for dumb reasons
But then I started actually having problems with every other tech company besides Apple, and therefore I just grew out of my immaturity
as soon as i say something positive about a device from apple, haters just default to "typical apple sheep / fanboy", and trying to ignore every argument.
which is pretty embarrassing, calling someone that uses android and MS windows an "apple sheep" for the sake of not needing to make any decent arguments
literally only own an iPad = apple sheep because i don't say apple is shit
it's depressing because iPads are the best tablets
by far. yes
None of these companies are yer friend. Use what yer comfortable with, tbh.
android is pretty embarrassing for tablets mostly. so only stuff like surface pro (which i consider more of a tablet-PC than a tablet)
the iPad doesn't compete in the same categories as my PC, or my phone.
but here is how i would put it:
the iPad is better at being an iPad
than my smartphone is at being a smartphone
the surface pro runs windows
I wasn't talking to you specifically and you're the last person I want to hear from about toxicity
Well thanks for clarifying then because it got me confused
i know, but its still a tablet- hence- a tablet-PC
and it also has a touch screen, something most laptops don't
so tablet form factor and touchscreen capabilties are given for tablet usage
Now gpu price here is normal
my gpu is cheaper than i pay in 2020
i pay 650usd in 2020 for rtx 3070 now its easy to get the same for 600
i am from eu soo we have high taxes
2 types some cheaper
normal price
600-650usd
1170usd
i remember when this gpu was like 2.5k usd
year ago
the whole stock issue situation was purely beneficial for me
i got my rtx3080 rog strix for 800 Euros, and sold my old GTX1080 for 550 Euros about 4-5 months after that.
so i was able to sell the gtx1080 at only 100 Euros less than the original price
i sell my old gtx 1070 for 420 Euro
@prime haven
xD
in 2021

what i buy in 2019 for 360euro
Stongs
now u can find GTX 1080 for like 200-250 Euro
looked it up, it was 700 Euros in 2016.
Sold for 550 Euros in 2021 after5 years of usage
ohh
last price of 1080 here i shop what i check was
550euro
for gaming X
440 euro for gigabyte
the cheapest
it was 2019
I paid 400$ for a very sketchy 3070
i still wonder if i should have purchased the rtx3090 rog strix back then for 1600 Euros. the answer is yes, yes i should have, but rather if i should have kept it or sold it
(this was 1600 Euros)
imagine. even NOW it costs 2300 Euros.
but i (reasonably at the time) said, that i dont need a 3090, and will instead try to get a 3080. .. Which I actually achieved, even for normal price as well, somehow.
You have 2k for a graphics card?
I have the founders edition of that, it was around 1800 as well
I had to import it
which meant tons of taxes and fees
but it was cheaper than buying retail
That card costs as much as two of my entire computer
Buying a phone in 2035: You're only getting the box and have to buy the phone separately
the top of the line iphone 14 has type C
no
still lightning
i am from EU
what do this type-c shit
Just checked myself and nope, still USB C to Lightning
The iPhone 14 lineup comes with many new features and upgrades over the iPhone 13-series, but a USB-C port is not one of them. one of the tech sites
I wouldnt be suprised if they removed the charging port and forced you to use wireless charging
400$ rtx 3070 came in today

its used?
Yes
Whats wrong with it
shitty qc, cheapo components, bad support
quality control
inb4 blows up 2 months later
Why would it
40 series gon b gud
shitty qc, cheapo components
and considering it's used who knows under what stress it's been
likely a mining card tbh
all the cards in my collection even if bought used I know for sure that they weren't mined on
if it were kept in cool conditions, and ran undervolted, it might probably be still serviceable, but i wont trust gb components to begin with
its the "budget" mainstream brand amongst pc hardware for a reason
they need to be saving costs somewhere
gb and zotac
Mining card might be ran undervolted but they often still beating the crap out of its VRAM
Thankfully repairing the VRAM is a bit easier, but yeah, gl with that
Check the BIOS if it got modified
RTX cards are a PITA to modify in BIOS
AMD cards are a piece of cake
im so excited for 4000 seriesi
I havent been able to build my new pc because im waiting for it!
NRF24 my beloved
....does that control that bug
It's a cool project
oh yeah, as a project i suppose it's cool

Man i like the free market and all but
This whole big company buy small company feels a little off
it happens all the time
if you're a confident owner, you wouldn't sell your company

EVGA has terminated its relationship with NVIDIA. EVGA will no longer be manufacturing video cards of any type, citing a souring relationship with NVIDIA as the cause (among other reasons that were minimized). EVGA will not be exploring relationships with AMD or Intel at this time...
EVGA is not popular here
now thats big news
they're going to be more like EPSU now i guess
EVGA was always less popular in EU then in US
Here we have like 3 gpu from EVGA and budget one only
GPU market here
no it wasn't
EVGA was a maket leader here too
doe mostly in the western side of EU
it's whoever they parner with
for example here locally EVGA has literally no products
tons of zotac doe
bcz everyone partnered with zotac
zotac is popular here too
EVGA was and is one of the the best brand both in US and EU
by quite a bit
if you wanted raw power and quality you go for EVGA
also great customer support
customer support xDDD Not here
they dont care about eastern europe
But its the same Google my coutry is in EU like 18 years and we still dont have official google shop
the poorer market, and they don't care
yes, companies invest $ in where they can make $
But in EU is not problem buy most of stuff if u cant buy it in local market
here one company undertook to sell google pixel with its own warranty
but they cost more
German price of 6a is 459Euro
here
but we have higher tax
german have 19%
we have 23%
Euro = USD
its still not bad
here if they will sell it official it will be like 499Euro
50Euro extra for own warranty
it entirely depends
on what distributors they had
in north america EVGA basically acted as their own distributorship
their direct reach didn't extend to most of asia and europe
i can buy it like now
xD
wtf
its with tax
23%

PC enthusiasts, don’t miss the GeForce Beyond special broadcast. Learn about the latest breakthroughs in gaming, creating, and graphics technology -- from NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang in the opening of his GTC keynote on Sept 20 at 8 a.m. Pacific time (UTC-7).
well
Nvidia has just announced the GeForce RTX 4090, based on the new Ada Lovelace architecture and backed up by a new evolution in AI-based frame generation: DLSS 3. In a first look video coming soon, we'll be showing how DLSS 3 works, examining its image quality in depth and giving some idea of the performance multipliers unlocked by this new techn...
Let’s just hope the power draw isn’t that high
450W for the 4090
sounds reasonable
well, it isn't
but it's less than the proclaimed 1000 watts
cpu and gpu combined only uses 60 watts peak while playing genshin for me
including having a hardware monitor, and a browser open
Why have two different SKU with what's practically same marketing name tho...
I kinda understand if it was only GDDR difference; but that's practically different ROP count while the naming suggest there's only GDDR difference
I'm so bored of the new Nvidia GPUs
They just show the most unaffordable options for 3D modelers and not the average GPUs for everyone else
It'll be another year or two to even wait until an RTX 4050
... or an even cheaper GTX card
because calling it what it actually is, a $900 RTX 4070 would result in less sales
I'm surprised the parody 4090 is almost accurate
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0frNP0qzxQc
Once again have Nvidia caught us by suprise, this time with their RTX 4090 and 4090ti.
Hot specs include:
18.000 Cuda cores
232 RT cores
2.169 MHz boost clock
48Gb GDDR7 VRAM
1 kilowatt

It would've been overpriced for a 70 series gpu
It's too expensive and at the same time too boring for me
the crypto mining boom is over so there's no reason for these inflated prices
4090 still only has 24GB of VRAM
ironic how Nvidia kept carrying on about AI this AI that. Meanwhile a lot of AI shit has been bottlenecked by VRAM size, not GPU power
The solution is easy, just buy two of them and make a threadripper pro build out of this
lmao you wish
they took away NVLINK support
so you can't combine their performance
The types of people who would remotely care about this GPU are not the average gamers
It's not necessary, you could render with both running
if I were really into AI shit I'd just buy a second 3090, connect it with NVLINLK and have 48GB of VRAM to work with
yeah but they would be rendering separate tasks
with NVLINK you can pool all the power and VRAM together to compute a single task
my cpu uses ~150w so
the most fascinating thing here to me
is that it says it has dual encoders
i wonder if that's so it can handle simultaneous streaming + shadowplay better or something
i imagine some of it is due to the extra memory chips if there are more
but it's also undoubtedly due to just having a higher power limit
i figure it might take undervolting just as well as ampere
then again actually when you consider it has 68% more shaders for 40% an increase in power rating for the same, slightly higher even, boost clock, that's actually rather good
but they'll probably cost a bomb due to being tightly binned
or buy a quadro?
Need suggestions for a £250~ phone android
that was just a blown out of proportion rumor, it's not possible for a single PCIe device to draw 1kW by itself
AI training isn't done on consumer cards, at least not the actual big data AIs, and for those applications there's specialized compute modules nvidia has for system integrators that also have much more VRAM and can share it across themselves using the successor to nvlink
that's not what nvlink does, all nvlink gives you is a bigger shared buffer, you still need to schedule tasks to each individual card manually, which most modern renderers can already do without it
I am well aware of this 🗿
them why are you spreading misinformation
But Nvidia made it a huge talking point in their presentation
it was talking about the lovelace architecture
not the cards specifically
what was more about the consumer side AI was the new DLSS
It was talking about the architecture as a whole yes. But they also stated it in relation to the cards specifically too
that needs more AI cores since it also does temporal and chromatic predictions
I was grossly simplifying it for the sake of conversation
your oversimplification is again misinformation and painfully wrong

realme 8 6+
You feared someone suggests a 250$ iPhone to you?

250GPB=/=250$
Ah, it’s the brexit money, mb
AND 250GBP its used one
yeah
also I already will have an iphone
just need a spare phone but android as my op7p has its outer glass broken
here for this 250gpb u can buy used like SE 2020/ XS/ XR /X/8 plus / 8
yup
Used iphone 11 is about 350GBP
Speaking of OnePlus, managed to sell mine so good riddance with that brand
I'm definitely liking the S21 FE since I bought it right at the beginning of September
So the gigabyte card was actually that bad-
It was DOA so i sent it back and got a asus 3070
Pray it works
it's a pretty big phone
at least compared to the one I'm using right now
4.9 in. display
2.5 in. wide
I had like 3 gigabyte cards since 2009
the first one is 9600GT
gtx 1060
and RTX 3060 VISION
Oh wow, I had the same card back in 2008, the 9600GT
3 out of the last 4 graphics cards I've owned were Gigabyte, the brand itself is pretty hit and miss these days but if you actually get something that runs well then the value is great
thats the whole point, they are "value" cards
as long as you dont run into any issues that is
The heatsink on the 3090 Vison/Eagle is absolutely beautiful when you look at the inside. With different sized fins everywhere in order to maximise surface area and conform to the components on the board... But the VRAM runs at like 100 degrees because their thermal pads are absolute ass lmao
I know it's not the most advanced or cool engineering, but to see it on a brand like Gigabyte is a welcome surprise
No, not about value. I got my 3060 Vision for like 940$. when other 3060 were like 800$
just to match the white theme
yeah personal stuff
yeah that's fair
now 3060s is like 370$
I got the Vision card because it was white too, and like $300 cheaper than the white Asus one
then I got a company to print out a custom sticker to cover up that weird purple strip
it came out alright-ish
yeah this one too. The card still live but fan is dead
its a GTX 950
got no fan to replace it so I ziptie a case fan to it
ah here's the pic of what I did to the Vision card
yes I know it's upside down, this was an inverted case
its upside down?
fairly basic but it looked okay from a distance
wth man
yeah inverted cases are a thing
I mean inverted case looks pretty weird and cool
I don't like most of em because its like. your rear board IO stick out to the top of the case
the biggest issue is that you need to run the top fans as an intake
leaving you with just the rear for exhaust
I never liked Asus stuff on PC parts
idk I feel like. they just give 3 years of the same design with slight changes
I'll be honest I've never owned any Asus products
only 1 ITX mobo
I have nothing against the brand but I've just never owned any
it's not like Th*maltake where I will publicly boycot their shit
its just because Asus Customer service in here is picky and stuff
repair price is also 3/4 of the product sometimes
actually I was gonna get an Asus motherboard for my most recent build
but switched to MSI at the last moment
my last 4 boards have been MSI
I've done a MSI H610M-G with a 12600K

it still fine, but just don't

was just experimenting on their VRM is good enough or not
solid 80C
I have a MEG B550 Unify with a 5900x
and I've got a B550 PRO VDH with a 5700g that I've been meaning to put in the case but haven't been bothered to
why not?
its just you can't unlock the full feature of 12600K
b550 pro VDH had problem with their BIOS on 5600G
yeah you have to do a BIOS flash
it still won't
luckily you can flash it without a CPU in
oh that's whack
yeah its still won't you can search that one on reddit
lots of people had that issue
interesting
What anyone thought about rtx 4000
Waiting for Nov 3rd
But I probs will be getting 4090 fe
AIB cards pretty ugly this time round
It's either bricks
Or a giant maxipad
rtx 4000 looks like an appetizer for rtx 5000
if they have better performance per watt than radeon, then I might upgrade in the future
It's not called ampere next for nothing
surely it isn't any more expensive to make fans using SS02 bearings instead of SS0 bearings on noctua coolers
I just see this as a waste
why this NF-A12x25 soo overpriced
this fan in EU with 23% tax is cheaper here
$32 is on the cheaper side
28$ with tax 23%
if you go to a microcenter, it's around $40 usd
the noctua redux one is $20 usd at microcenter
regardless, it doesn't make sense why noctua still makes redux with the old SSO bearings
15$ with tax
this one
like I understand removing the rubber dampners and other accesories to cut costs on the redux
but why purposely use an older bearing
I think it's because noctua is from austria
looks pretty good actually
they change this stuff
okay, it probably is as bad
epic
what cost like 4x more
fan is good too
i was using silentium cooler in my old CPU and fans
but i change cpu to i7
and AIO
I'm using stock cooler right now
i7 9700kf is hot boi
what need AIO if u wanna do all stuff
its Fractal Design Celsius S36 Blackout
beefy cooler
yee
this i7 is like i9 9gen
both hot
its good i can do benchmark CPU + GPU and no bottleneck
what
PRIME95 + FURMARK
Try do this on your pc
xD
and w8 like 10min
1 part of prime bench do like 260W on my CPU
i have 750W power supply
i7 9gen and rtx 3070
soo its no problem
total what this setup eat is like 590W
its with max max
in gaming 500
cyberpunk 2077 in max setting RT Ultra DLLS
I don't think my system at max load would use any more than 200 watts
my friend try do this bench what i do
but he is idiot what dont change power suply after he change cpu and gpu
he have 750W too
but with
ryzen 9 5900x
and rtx 3090
xD
and 750W
pc just reset in bench
he need like 850W and its min
1000W will be the best
i remember when he show me price of his gpu what he pay in 2020
he is working in electronics store
870$ for rtx 3090 he pay with 23% tax
in 2020
he buy it when 3090 came out
i buy my 3070 in november
he in december
the employees have big discounts and that is very much at his shop
@wintry forge he pay like 50%
of normal price

that's nice
but price of new gpu's
MRSP of 3070 in 2020 was 2359pln (480$)
MRSP of 4080 12GB(what is 4070) is here F.... 5399pln (1080$)
@wintry forge
Normal 4080 16GB is here 7049pln (1435$)
pricey
He we love taxes here
xD
23%
its sick rich country like German have smaller saletax
we are have poor
hopefully amd doesn't screw us over with their radeon gpu prices
Av Monthly salary german is 4100Euro
Av Monthly salary poland is 1370Euro
not many ppl earn like this
its like 10-15%
if 7900xt will cost like 1000EURO
xD
it will kill nvidia
u know US dolar cost more than euro xD
now
1USD
oh they absolutely will
it's a great card but fuck me is it a chungus, you need to really secure it down else it sags like hell
that and dealing with the fukken nvidia PCIe power adaptor
It's just the new standard tho. Amd gonna be using it as well.
Some AIBs are saying they reinforced the backplate to prevent sag, we'll see
it's not the card PCB that flexes, it's the mobo and the card itself sagging from the weight
the pcie slot is hanging on to its dear life
the claims are that they reinforced the backplate so that its more rigid and provide support directly via the bracket, instead of just putting the weight on the MB
I mean reinforcing the card itself just makes the PCIe slot itself the fulcrum
and it's not a strong mobo
well
I thought that was a tubes-up front radiator at first
Nice build
By the way if you want cheap fans that outperform nearly all of Noctua's lineup, check out the Arctic P12
I would only replace the cables
They're the ultimate slap in the face to other fan companies
$30 for 5 fans, no rubber dampers, 6 year warranty. They also make a ball bearing version for home server use
Are Silentium any good?
Because the Arctic ones are top tier
Ah okay
i am w8 when they will start sell it in US
we start selling GOODRAM stuff in US
in last year
I bought 20 of the Arctic fans and kept 6 in reserve, expecting some to be defective or die early because of how cheap they were.
They've been running near continuously for a year now and none are showing any signs of wear
i have 2 cheap goodram ssd's
Those white RAM sticks look really nice
Damn that's not a bad price
with tax 23%
I think I'd get wrecked on the shipping fees if I tried to buy from here
without tax its 45.5$
like always
my corsair too lifetime
its good price for cl16 and 3200
i have this one
but first 2 sticks i buy in 2019
with this sick price of ram
i pay 2x more
in 2019
and 2 more in 2020
what price drop half
Yeah that's what I have
i love how this website is easy to change all stuff
it one of the biggest shops here
Nice
The biggest shop we have is super convenient but they're really expensive on the shipping
u know we dont have official google shop here in poland
The other stores have comparably crap sites
soo we dont have pixel here
soo what this shop do
is an intermediary and gives internal guarantee
to pixel
price is higher but u can buy it
its like 25-30% extra
looks like google dont care about us
xD
but i have german like 400km from my home
soo its not problem to buy pixel in shop
i have family in german too
@rough sedge they have nice sale hours
its 5.9$
The most annoying thing about the large computer shop here is that they charge a flat rate shipping fee, regardless of what you order.
So like if I order an entire PC worth of components and get it express shipped it's only about $15 USD.
But if I forget a liquid cooling fitting or a cable and want that small item shipped, it's also $15
Now that's a first
I thought Google would want to sell their data harvesters to as many people as humanly possible
we have big market with chinese phones here
big af
xiaomi oppo huawei oneplus vivo realme etc
the most popular phone most of time is xiaomi here
top selling
new price of iphone 13 here is joke
@rough sedge after new ishit 14 price of old one go up
xDDDDDDDDDDDDD
It's a bit of a mixed bag here
Loads of US influence causing people to buy iPhones but as far as Android goes we practically got everything here
i am using 2 year iphone 12 pro max
and its last iphone
just dont like it
this limits of all stuff
Some brands like Xiaomi can be hard to find but they're certainly a thing here
this one is not popular like old days
We've got a shitload of Samsung phones here actually
The word "Samsung" is used in place of "Android" by most people
"oh hey is that an iPhone or Samsung charger? Can I borrow it?"
chinese brand still give chargers
if someone wanna meet my country and have new iphone he will have problem af
if wanna use esim
we have only 1
orange
THATS ALL
XD
I think the US model is the only one with esim
Thankfully
But yeah good luck US tourists lmao
hahah new ryzen
u need buy ddr5

144usd
6000mhz if the best for new ryzen
problem is some games need more than 16gb ram
if I'm upgrading to DDR5 I'm definitely not settling for 16GB lol
aren't those the xOC results?
I'm pretty sure the extreme OC results were allowed to be submitted recently
NORMAL bench
I'll have to look into it

At long last, AMD has launched their new Zen 4 CPUs, Ryzen 7950X, 7900X, 7700X, and 7600X, and they look grea...
soo if u wanna build set now
U HAVE BIG PROBLEM
zen4 seems like pretty big flop considering they're barely beating the year old 12th gen, and 13th gen is rumored for 30% coc ipv, which is due to launch in bout 25hours
my parents thinking its a good idea to store important files on a 13 year old hard drive
I'm honestly more dazzled by how they can use a 2c/2t apu from 2009
running windows 10
Eh, Windows 11 runs on Pentium 4 so anything is possible reallly
Indeed
Retesting with the final Windows 11 build, specifically the first patch tuesday build. Also used a sightly upgraded machine with SSD, sadly i couldn't record the full OS booting process since my capture card was complaining about video out of range errors. Some more info there: https://twitter.com/Carlos_SM1995/status/1448561898035851264

Works and all lmao
I could get them something like this
Just grab an old p or z series workstation and shove an ssd in it
The old ones at my work place are on half a decade old xeons
And runs pretty much perfectly tbh
did they even call that an apu back then
find an auction house that does office liquidations
the one near me has like 50 6th Gen i7 towers every month that sell for barely anything

if someone had to make some shitty mock up might as well use paint
literally a copy of the flip
it is interesting how companies like to copy each other instead of doing their own thing
Been happening for years. Apple started making mega-thin laptops, PC OEMs followed suit. Apple made Bluetooth earbuds, didn't take Sammy and Google long to join 'em.
may as well ask here, not really panicking rn or anything but
is it normal for my PC for bsod like half the time i boot it up while sounding like a boeing 737? it says "memory management" which i would assume is something ram related but no clue, i've only had the thing for like 8 months and it's prebuilt if that makes a diff
most definitely not normal
well my AIO always sound like Aquarium water filter for the first 3 second on boot

how very reassuring, thank you
It's common for mobos to put fans into full speed during BIOS
It's not normal to BSOD of course
yah it's just sounds loud like... not normal noise tho? like a weird ticking sound is there idk how to describe it
maybe it's just me being paranoid
like if you put a disc into a dvd player the wrong way, it makes a weird ticking sound
that's kinda what it sounds like
...don't tell me it's your HDD ticking
uhhhhhhhhhhh
i don't know
it's still under warranty and i could return it since they offered a while ago, but i wouldn't know how to go about getting a new pc or even just building one with the return budget
depending on where you live, building your own computer can save you a lot of money
correction, during POST, Power On Self Test
if the bearings of the fan are shot then the higher they ramp up the more of that grinding and forced spinning sound will be heard
these are words i don't understand but that doesn't sound good
it only happens when it boots with a bsod
I wouldn't mess around with the hardware on your prebuilt, it could void warranty
this is a bearing
not quite the bearings in a fan but
if it has no lubrication then it sounds like the fan is dying
so is it shitty prebuilt issue or..? idk how i'd fix it, definitely not touching a thing
they offered a return instead of a repair
Take a video with sound, maybe we can help

a full RMA?
idk what that means
Return merchandise authorization
uhhhh
basically you send the pc back and they refund you all the money back
oh ya full return
if it happens again i'll try to catch it
but honestly just feel like returning at this point cuz it's been a ripe old pain in my ass
i'm too technologically impaired to deal with these issues
that is a good option
around 8 months
and he doesn't know how to build either
Oh
tbh it's easier to have a support line on speed dial than bother someone you know to be ur tech support
guess we could learn, but not sure if my budget could net me anything decent
And they are willing to give you back full value?
yeah
if only
Pc prices have dropped off a cliff the past 8mths
i'm worried about all my stuff on it tho, gotta get it all off somehow
Return it and get a better pre-built with the $ if you dw to build your own
cloud storage and dump it there
Make a private discord server
don't
that is what we call poor ToS breaking advice
Nah, games u def need to reinstall and shit
wehhh fuck
you can make a copy of the saves
i don't wanna reinstall koikatsu
but the games will need a reinstall
Don't you have cloud save if you use steam?
you and ur lood games
Oh
ye fesh u can get koikatsu from other places than steam and the high seas
What I do is just clone my drives periodically off to external drives
So if the drive in my computer fails
I just swap it in
this mans hasn't heard of incremental backups
Nah, my way is simpler
guess getting an external would be a good idea, they're expensive af tho
maybe i can try cloud storage
Takes like 2mins anyway
ur way is expensive
btw the pc was $1500aud, dunno if that's good budget
It's decent
cloud storage you can go with onedrive or backblaze
My current pc is less than that, but it will jump up to $4kaud soon
Fking gpu prices
yeah most people have to pay for it
that's fesh being pepega and buying top end cards
never heard of backblaze, but onedrive you need to pay for giga storage no?
which he won't use to their fullest potential
Nah, it's jumping up cuz I'm getting the most expensive GeForce gpu there is soon
Whenever Samsung display gets their ass moving on those curved qd-oled panels
curved screens are overrated
I love them
qd-oled is good stuff
yeah and what games do you play that properly scare across a UW
Nth but genshin rn
Cuz I don't have a fking gpu lmao
Flight sim, rdr, cyberpunk, etc etc
Flight sim gonna hit the hardest tho
Flight sim gonna get rtx soon
I am yes
so what i should do is make 20 accounts to hold all of my sin
I just like to look at planes smh

get out

1 TB aint enough?
1tb is too expensive
20 free accounts she means

I have a specific script that toggles nvidia surround on for when I play flight sims
or elite dangerous
I was gonna get a flight stick, throttles, rudders and shit
Nice setup
else they're just 3 dumb monitors
you don't have to buy it yearly
you can get it for like 2 months to temporarily hold your stuff
then once it's moved onto the new pc delete it from the cloud and cancel the sub

If you don't mind hard drives, could get an external one
To back up your shit
And store shit
been tempted, already running out of space on my current pc with like 7 games
how little storage do you have sheesh
my dead laptop has more space, i just wanna magically rip out the hard drive in it and smoosh it into my pc
1tb
or unplug them while they're writing or reading

weak
you can use a laptop hdd on your computer
My one piece folder is like
my koikatsu folder is approaching 700 gigs
what the fuck and what the fuck ii
i can? it's like completely ded, doesn't turn on
depends on what's dead
You can yes
you can but you run the risk of it dying at any moment
if the hdd is dead then no can do
Laptop things
see so you're a bigger degen than me, can't make fun of me anymore

always have been
my laptop's hdd is 2tb iirc
there's yet a degen in the staff team that can topple me, let alone syand
Sounds like a hard drive

Show off
I am a data hoarder yes
I think I need to uninstall some stuff
that's quite fancy tbh, unironically
I prefer keeping everything to absolute minimum
It's def a hdd
definitely an hdd
what u see there is 3% of my total storage
if there's a way to get it out of it and use it i'll be pogging to the high heavens
yeah, not many have 2TB HDD out of the box tho, esp 7mm one
you can but it involves taking apart the laptop
the question is, are you going to be returning the prebuilt
I'd wager there's 2 drives in it
the screws are stripped, nvm
often it's just opening up the back cover, not really taking apart
well i do want to, but if i do i'll have to figure out what i'll be getting instead beforehand
yeah if you live in 2005
Too bad you're a flight away. If not I'd just ask u to send it to me
storage/ram/battery should be accesible if you're not a shitty company

oh
