For me, pvp is very challenging content since you have cover 20% damage reduction of attacker. That's why it's fun for me.
PvP is a bunch of pre-made puzzles made by other users. Unfortunately sometimes people have the same ideas.
Oh ho, at least you're not chasing the End of Season awards. A bunch of players take snapshots of the top-100 on each server about 10 minutes before the season ends, so the top runners tend to want to be on that.
Going for Admiral of the Navy is fairly practical. It's an extra 2500 toward getting that extra gold Purin a month. (Or any event ships you missed.) And as long as you don't lose too badly it's very much within grasp. (I managed to squeak in with 7 lost tickets this season; I would recommend 6 be the 'sane' limit though it's possible to capture it with as many as 11 lost tickets if you're both diligent in checking for match-up changes and lucky in getting them...)
Honestly, I just want a better reward system. A persistent Ranking board in-game showing the EoS placements for last season would also go a long way.

About reward system, so many players hate ranking based real reward like items or gold. But I really want a ranking system which reflect power of dec, not reflecting patience. We can get very high end ranking with quite weak dec if he just have enough patience. Extra ranking in big events is very good ranking system which represent his own skill. Maybe adding pvp system without attacker buff and retreat, or just showing win late of defeding dec(include retreat) would be good for me.

Hmm, I was wondering if the Skypirate would be a good temporary Wyvern. Good AA and high HP to ensure consistent crash damage, 4x torps for VG, but the base Crash is pretty low, at 206. Wyvern is 420 (Cuda is 480, but Wyvern has much higher HP and AA to ensure the Crash dmg).
So perhaps just the one on my Shinano in the meantime, I guess.

Its not as good as you think and its very RNG reliant against any decent comp. Go ahead and use that if you happen to have them leveled and nothing else but don't go out of your way to level them for pvp.

My vanguard is currently Baltimore, Laffey, San Diego. All 3 are maxed out and oathed with the best +10 equipment. Although I've been raising Azuma, Kitakaze and Yukikaze to take over in a few months.

@empty owl as a backup, there's also Ibuki PRY (double preload), Ayanami DD (low HP and slow reload, but highest potential damage per salvo), and Yukikaze DD (best survival ability, but no buffs).

Noshiro, Naganami, Jintsu are the priority; Noshiro provides critical damage buff and torpedo defense, Jintsu provides a 2nd bigger torpedo buff, and Naganami has the fastest firing rate (her ability gives a bonus salvo almost exactly between regular salvos) while having a high torpedo rating.

Do you have Ibuki? If you're lacking in buffs, you can compensate with sheer volume (two preloaded torpedo salvos). You're hoping to melt Juneau in <10s and do the same to Azuma after Juneau wastes her heal.

in theory some other sandbagger can have you on their list and you can give them a bonus. Given an adequate amount of time

had to rush suuupper early though

I hit AotN reliably last season with 7 missed exercises. Had to play within an hour of refresh on day 13.
But EoS rank-100 score took a nosedive last season.
It's partially because players are leaving PvP, but those that join/stay just drag anchor until just before refresh. We need more rusher at other hours.
I miss matches many more seasons than I don't yet still almost always hit AotN

but like all other chance skill, she is quite useless when SG didn't activated. So no reason to use her if you are strong enough.
There are so many chance based barrage ships, but they can do some damage without barrage also and have good stats+BB(can survive much longer).
Especially with wnt the manjuu aux on juneau is just another middle finger to torpmeme comps

naw you lead Manjuu Juneau to absorb Shinano/Hiryuu airstrikes, and then heal up most of the crash dmg that was dealt (and boost other two vanguard HP)
manjuu makes the timing of the heal very consistent, also means she absorbs extra dmg your other vanguards would otherwise take

just see how casual pvp is in sandy, no big threat
tested a few more times and i find more bs inconsistencies
carrier detection mechanic is supposed to give bonus dmg to undetected carriers right

the current thought is the game snapshots your stealth status on airstrike launch, just like other buffs
so if you get detected after you launch but before the airstrike hits, it should still get the buff
I made a gold Helldiver, +11'd and put it on Shinano.
I've also switched to using triple Cuda, up from using 818/Cuda/Ryusei.
I plan to upgrade Shinano's third slot Cuda to a Wyvern asap. Or maybe Hiryu first since she's 150% Eff over 130%? We'll see.

So for gold, you'd need 120 gold plates per +13 stuff. Meaning, 240 Aux plates for the Rudder/Kicks
And assuming all 6 planes are +13, 720 plane BP's for 6 gold planes.
It's 360 to +13 a Rainbow/UR equip, so if running 1 Wyvern, 5 golds = 960 BP's needed. Or should u want to run double Wyvern and 4 golds = 1200 gold plane BP's.

about slow of 818, you guys just too over estimating it. I tried cento+formi bombing settings.
They could bomb on just stopped target and even that case, a lot of times vg could survive just with evasion.

There's not many ships that can survive that, esp if Nagato barraged too
well it was with shinano with 3IJN ship(vg)+frontier medal. Also 3CV get stealth buff much more chances than nagato shinano hiryuu when fight each other. So I'm quite sure that dealing isn't that weak.
you'd be surprised, running them in op siren(stronghold, abyss, Miryuu, Guild boss), Shinano without 3 IJN buff or Nagato buff deals something like twice the dmg of Centaur and 50% more than Formidable

What I want to say is when you fight vs 818 teams, still defensive VG items are good.
speed can do well incase you could avoid 818(really high chance)+bombing of hiryuu.
evasion works every case and quite a lot chance(near 30 in offense imo) you can survive after full hit.(If you think about just changing direction while bombing, you would understand)

As for planes, I think the endgame meta will be the following: VF17/XSB3C/Wyvern (for Hiryuu), and Hornet/XSB3C/Wyvern (for Shinano), all 6 planes +13 (Which will cost 1200 gold plane BP's).

We had an experiment here. Unless the latest patch changed things, fleet tech was never applied. Except in the case it boosted opponent's displayed fleet power numbers (that's been fixed now; opponent's fleet power shows their pre-tech numbers).

For like three days after fleet tech was added, there was a bug where your fleet tech applied to enemy defense team but not yours
