The best times to touch AotN are the two resets before the final reset

Most of the AotN rushers will have already rushed by then

While if you just sandbag during the initial gensui rush your bonuses will be much higher than the rushers

So you don't need to sandbag much, just try to aim for at least one bonus each reset and you can easily reach AotN using the above method
