u cannot get too ahead for how the system works. in order to get bonuses u need people to be higher score then u. if u just use extra attempts u end up with a score that will make u eat +8/9s till it balances with other people u play with. sandbagging is the only way u can create extra bonuses because it creates the difference need in score to get those bonuses in 1st place

but if u wait for other ppl to get ahead of u then u do ur run. for example 1 run per hour

u get steadily 11 points per match

ez 5 bonus points per reset

and then u can stay ahead by alot of points

it's impossible to reach a 30 bonus points with 5 attempts. and the way he got that score would be to get bonuses every battle but no one can be ahead of u enough if ur 30 pts ahead because 10pts x 5 attempts=50 score. 50-30 pts difference =20 which is nowhere near the 35 u need for extra bonuses

i actually used a strat like that in the aotn rushing periods were there is a lot more movement in the top rank then usual and u can get free bonuses there because some people break their sandbagging to get aotn

even then it wasn't really worth it over just sandbagging normally but not sitting on 7-8/10 and forgetting to do attempts is a good tradeoff for me

i think a lot of people that got the extra attempts don't know how to play properly at this point in the season so they just end up using attempts without any gain and without even trying to get a gain (sandbagging) just using them when they don't get -pts

really depends on how much "leeway" you want for ensuring the ability to get Admiral of Fleet during the last few rounds

playing "optimally" will give you the biggest leeway... but it also comes with the biggest risk of "oops, I accidentally forgot to use some attacks before reset, there goes my chance of making top 10"

In the end (when everyone is at the same level again), this health and stats will matter the most for comps that are currently vulnerable to being bursed to shit, so basically everything that isnt akaga
