Hiryuu and Aquila basically shares the same loadout with 2/3 gear choices, add in Shinano as well
The twin 137 you craft for Musashi at first that you set aside for Ply gun fits well on New Jersey, with her rerun
Frontline as well is pretty comfy, you only need to build gear for 3 to 4 ships (Stall + Harbin)

Aside from the caveats of crafting 457/mk4 guns, a HSFCR, and one more Hit+Eva Aux to enhance, and entire ships such as Shimakaze (maybe)

Hello all, I am getting back into the game after a 4 year hiatus. I played throughout the first year, and I was approaching having a "complete" pvp fleet, ie max everything.

Now that I'm returning I'm quickly realizing that my stuff is not anywhere near relevant, no surprise, so anyways, as I'm learning about new mechanics and stuff, I am wondering what I should be grinding towards?

This is what I have, yes Im aware that amagi synergizes with IJN but i wanna do twin IJN carriers + amagi at some point, even if just for fun

Before ships like hood and enty were best in slot but now the sheer firepower of enti + hood probably is outclassed by the hyper-accurate abilities. Ive run into homing torps, planes, perfectly accurate death rays, im assuming thats the stuff thats good for pvp?

First place to look is the PvP spreadsheet in the pins. A lot of comps are dominated by UR ships which are mostly gated behind exclusive events

As far as commonality goes:
NJ, Musashi, Anchorage and Shimakaze are the common elements in most meta fleets. The last slot for each varies.
Anchorage, Juneau and Harbin are all permanently available.
Lacking Shimakaze, you can use Harbin, Noshiro, ykkz and Ayanami instead
Backline is where it is an issue. You could probably try FDG, but she needs to be FS5 from experience.
Warspite kai can be used in a pinch. I haven't tried using her for a long time now but before I replaced her, it was difficult to get snipes with her.
Enterprise could probably still carry you if the other team doesn't reveal her. Just don't assume she'll be as effective on defence.
