can't find an exact message but noshiro is widely considered the best shima sub so

duca's damage still holds up nowadays also

there are some things to consider though as this was in a tamaki context

so duca could still be too squishy outside of tamaki fleets

Me and Ari were both using Aya in Little E where there is no Shima. We both dropped her for Noshiro. Aya is just wildy incomsistemt. Half the time her torps do nothing and she dies really fast.
