since last year I asked about whether the USA sacrificing 2 super carriers and 10,000 soldiers is bearable to keep 1 monster away for a year, I was thinking we could up the ante this year
That will be political suicide if that happen for more than 2 year
but isn't it lighter than say, WW2 casualties? Theoretically the US should be able to provide the bodies just fine right?
twitter bitches gonna bitch
US can but a war with no victory in sight and with you throwing away troop lives with no prospect of victory or success will sap the public morale real quick and they will demand for other solutions
mm, I see
It all come down to how long your society can keep up with the burden, US only have 50k+ death during the Vietnam war but the War was lost back home when the American people feel that the war wasn't worth it. So you either turn it into a full blown total war for survival of mankind or use nuke and call it a day.
Ukraine Mig-29s
Ukraine producing something?
Su-27
All they left was relics from Soviet era
Since their economy become shambles in 1990s
🤨 I will have you know this is a Sukhoi household
their MIG-29s and Su-27s have been reasonably modernized over the years
the operational ones at least
I mean the bulk of a lot of NATO countries air forces are still Cold War leftovers
Same with the Russian airforce
Yep. But even they weren't hit hard as Ukraine did
We are speaking of becoming Europe's second poorest nation
cuz like the soviet republics relied on each other ig
It used to build largest planes of Soviet Union
After collapse. It had to stick to small planes only
Mryia
"bell,we have a job to do"
these two mfs on their way to build a big ass plane ^
This was it's last state. Stayed like this since 1991 as I believe
Since Ukraine had no money and there was no demand for such large plane
Jeff bezos coulda brough it for like a little house or some shit
put a big ass door on it
looks cool
He prefers Zeppelins
He could use this as a drone mothership
I mean, no order or money so who gonna put work into it?
AN 225 was a Soviet "dick measuring" project with US, when it gone then the plane really have so little use, yeah, it niche is carry shit ton of load but you can do that with a fleet of IL76
Didn't you guy lack the use for heavy cargo plane until recently? I don't remember China need heavy lift plane during the 90s
Taiwan
Bruh, dropping Para over Taiwan is pretty stupid
the plan was to
use missiles to blow up the ROCAF and SAMs
and use cargo planes to supply the landing forces n shit with supplies
and drop a few type 15s
wait i dont think we had type 15s back then
That would require you to capture an intact airfield and defend it until the tank got it, that doesn't count reinforcement for the 1sr wave got shot down and if it is AN 225 then there's a high chance for it to be shot down and take its cargo with it
Nah, you guy have to wait till the Soviet collapse to get the SU27
Ukraine sold us a bunch of shit
After the Collapsed
And how long does it take to reverse engineer and began domestic production?
Ukraine literally created Chinese carrier force
yes I know
Selling the prototype Su-33 and Varyaf the unfinished sister of Kuz
I forgoe
we just started using em
yes I know krem
And Russian immediately shot it down
Russian really hate people getting hand on their stuff back then
Nah heaviest plane before An-225 was the An-124
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov_An-124_Ruslan
The Antonov An-124 Ruslan (Ukrainian: Ан-124 Руслан; Russian: Антонов Ан-124 Руслан, lit. 'Ruslan'; NATO reporting name: Condor) is a large, strategic airlift, four-engined aircraft that was designed in the 1980s by the Antonov design bureau in the Ukrainian SSR, then part of the Soviet Union (USSR). The An-124 is the world's 2nd heaviest gross ...
An-225 is her larger variant
but then they needed money yada yada
Soviet Ukraine build like 50 of these before the collapse
Because Russia knows China will just copy paste it.
Hell I think China cannot export their Flankers since it creates Copyright problems
So if you are going to sell something to China, you have to sell it as expensive pack
Since they will copy paste it eventually and stop buying it from you
The Chinese Russian love hate relationship
and then we refused to buy said packs cuz
we were gonna reverse it
That's why for example if China wants 10 engines from you. You give condition of 100 engine purchase
Because they will copy and start building that engine later
make as much money as possible before they make something better/equal than what you tryna sell
Yep
WS-10 is replacing Russian engines for example
Since China got the tech from them and now they can go full domestic
Mongolian goat herder
There is no vehicle more critical to the US military than the Bluebird All-American. Pretty much every serviceman and woman has been on one of these things from the day they they entered basic training. It has no armor, no guns, and is entirely unglamorous, but you always loved seeing one roll up at the range at the end of the day...
Financial ...
Im guessing this is a Pt-76?
do you have like, my lawyer has advised me not to finish this statement
its a abandoned Mongolian BMP-1
Once again, remove the Z from your name
🤨
~~that was from before ~~
normal red name behavior
Oreo

If you want to film a spectacular war movie featuring battles from the Second World War, what do you need? Certainly, world-famous actors, a big budget, suitable visual props, and, of course tanks, especially the mighty Tiger. Since most German tanks have long since ended up as scrap or in museums, finding an original one that is still working i...
Plaaf are you some advanced troll
I have never seen someone ever confuse BMP with Pt-76 before
It's like confusing a Zebra with a pony
they look the same
posting tank encyclopedia
ok noted
how would you like to die
I dare to challenge fate
No one likes you bro
i'm not actually sure just how bad tank encyclopedia is, but from the few times i've been on there and its connection to naval encyclopedia
yeah
Tank encyclopedia just rips from Wikipedia half the time afaik
better wikipedia than wows

@eternal veldt is this QE or Warspite?
Same principal in mind
BMP made In the 60's, PT in the 70's. 2 different designers too
Casemates present? Warspite
@alpine onyx
@delicate beacon
On 1 April 1942, the 16 modified bombers and their crews that would make up the Doolittle Raid were loaded onto USS Hornet for their 18 April raid. Task Force 16, with Admiral Halsey in command from USS Enterprise, the focus of this tour, provided protection for Hornet on this mission.

Casemates, stubbed mast. Warspite.
Both QE and Valiant has no casemates.
why does it start at 16
Per Chinese naval naming conventions:
Small boats’ vessel-number is four digits
Surface combat ship’s vessel-number is three digits
Experimental/Training Vessel’s vessel-number is two digits
Destroyers starts with 1, 105 to 113 belongs to North Sea Fleet, 131 to 134 belong to East Sea Fleet, 160 to 171 belong to South Sea Fleet
Conventional Submarines starts with 2 or 3
Nuclear Submarine starts with 4
Escorts starts with 5
Anti-submarine Escorts starts with 6
Missile Escorts starts with 7
Supply, mining/anti-mine starts with 8
Amphibious Assault starts with 9
Boats less than 500 tons will start with X.
couple of theories. It is two digit, which is fitting for Liaoning’s status as a training/experimental vessel. However, it is also expected that in the future, China will probably change and allocate the two digit numbers to large capital ships such as carrier or large landing craft. As for why it is 16 instead of 11, the speculation is that since Liaoning is a refit vessel and likely low in combat power in comparison to new carriers down the line, the numbers 11 to 15 is being reserved for later Chinese carriers
Rare is the navy that actually uses chronological numbering

absolutely shit tierlist
absolutely shit
Shinano, was a massive disappointment
AND NO MENTION OF GUREY GHOSTO ENTERPRISE
Shinano wasn't complete, and not exactly your standard fleet carrier either...
And the Essex class Yorktown and Lexington

The fuck did they even do other than being one of many?
Also always gotta love when people praise the Murderous Longhouse and the floating sauna that Akagi and Kaga were
Soryu, Hiryu and the two cranes were at least 100% better than those rebuilds
yes
Yeah,what he said
Post the 1934/1935 refit, IIRC the situation was better
FWIW, Kaga had the largest capacity of the Kido Butai, just....slow as hell
indeed
she also looked, rather tall
but the true best IJN carriers were the shokaku class
even considered "the best" when they were built
things improved on the two, but to my knowledge it never got "good"
when you outmatch your enemy massively in both quality and quantity it's hard to find glory
what if
Cope cages
but with ERA
like a shit ton if it
strapped to the side of ships
HMS Iwo Jima? #OTD in 1982, Argentina invaded the Falklands. Revealed years later, Reagan had secretly prepared to give Thatcher the USS Iwo Jima if the Royal Navy needed it. The crew would have included U.S. "contract advisors" to operate the systems. https://t.co/b8JzOr1Hj0

What for?
Even if you strap ERA on ship, you have to account to sea water erosion, the amount of ERA plate needed if it is tank size, the ship size ERA plate need to be research if you want something for the navy, basically it is a ridiculous investment if you want ship ERA and it effectiveness maybe still meh bc if this is anti ship missile warhead then it gonna go through the ERA anyway.
It will weight down the ship significantly
for protection
If the CIWS, AA missile, EWS and Chaff fail then I don't think I want to strap a few more ton of explosive to the side of the ship for "protection"
It just might work
It just might but the possibility of it might doesn't justify the investment cost
Funnily enough, if USN decide to test for ERA then they might test it on the LCS and it will be hilarious to see how much a bigger fuck up it would be
It wont hurt the amount of money they put in already
"On NJ"

Ada class under construction for Pakistan navy, seems still using the 76mm OTO Melara instead the new MKE 76mm

I can't stop laughing at this for nearly 3min
This feels boring ngl
Wake up, eat, clean or dunno do check up to equipment then take a break then do it again
which iowa
that's life on every warship
True
I wonder who
That's military life most of the time
ah
Didn’t know they did public exhibits
Hmm
They make a good refit on her but
It's not that good enough to replace the ww2 technology for rangefinding and fire control
Kinda bugs me little but I can understand
the iowa's had superb fire control systems for their time
if they really wanted to they could probably design better, but for shelling VC, Iraqis, and Lebanese it's not needed
Strongest proposal for her radar I think was from 1990s
The main battery would have received a Mk-160 Mod 5 GFCS to manage the direction of 16" long range rounds (11" and 13" discarding sabot, and RAP).
Since it's 90s, VLS cells were also proposed
Would look smh like this
Sea sparrows, MK-41 VLS, MK-160 Mod 5 fire control, Tas-23 radar for sea sparrow. And 5/54 of Montana class
Weird they wanted/54 of Montana in 90s...
Looks expensive, which is likely why they didn't bother
Should be cheaper than her hybrid and missile conversions but ye
It’s something that would of made sense with Cold War era budgets tho there’s other issues with the iowas beyond just modernizing the armament and fire control systems
Her internals when it came to crew quarters and amenities would of likely needed major overhauls alongside preparing the ship for the potential introduction of female crew members in the 90s
I assume they won't allow gender natural toilets or barracks for reasons I can understand
90s was when the navy started introducing mixed gender crews and for obvious reasons ships like the Iowas would of needed substantial work to accommodate such crews
redundancy
she had other radars as well anyway
If the Cold War era budgets somehow continued I could see the baby maintaining two of the Iowas until the Zumwalts started showing up tho they were going to need substantial work if they were going to stay in service past 92
To be honest I don’t see much of a point
Probably gets more expensive than most building a couple of burkes
And being selfish and a WW2 guy I’d say that I like that they kept em close to a WW2 configuration, at least closer than if they did a VLS refit
Texas
REACTIVATE TEXAS

Has any navy tried stacking torpedo tubes on top of each other?
Well, vertical stacking is the norm in submarines
Forgot to specify, on ww2 destroyers
yes
iirc the Soviets did do that right?
V/W class destroyers had a triple stacked torpedo tube
Woah
depends on what and where
France
imagine a tower of torp tubes
nothing? eh its ok
well Sir John Monash, commander of the 3rd division AIF, and later commander of the Australian Corps and the first general to be knighted on a battlefield in over 200 years, quite literally invented the basis of modern combined arms warfare, being the first commander to successfully combine infantry, artillery, armour and air assets in a mutually supporting and beneficial way, inventing the tactics that would be used to break the Hindenburg line
How about stacked quintuples?
he also played a significant role in the battle of amiens, or as ludendorff put it "the black day of the german army"
not that im aware of
but what kind of wwi stuff
if you want something french, lazerpig has a funny french tank documentary on his yt
The battles or jutland
here is the man himself being knighted by King George V
lazerpig
🤮
Aight, thanks for the info
dam there uniforms almost as the same lvl witn the germans
id like you to recommend a funnier french tank documentary
funny =/= good
I stand by that British/Commonwealth officer uniforms are aesthetically the best in any time period after 1914
Especially tropical one
aight how bout uniforms?
LazerPig is one of my favorites
Australian tropical uniforms are probably the best tropical uniforms of WW2
Ay goin war in da summer
Japanese tropical uniforms were utterly atrocious throughout most of the war, British uniforms were far too heavy and American uniforms were made in Australia
in the cliffs of Gallipoli
been there
neat old cartoon i found
Cliffs were near vertical for a start
and unlike D-Day
the invading ships got hammered to hell
the cliffs were a surmountable obstacle its just that the planners forgot they were there
fantastic job
like, actual Turkish land defences against an invading force were atrocious
on the 25th of April 1915, the entire Ottoman army had something like a dozen machine guns in the entire army
churchill...
oh yea, hit
and the actual land forces present amounted to a handful of infantry squads who had about as much idea what was going on as the invaders
lets not forget that churchill failed miserably twice and still got elected prime minister
is this line from bf1 accurate?
where they had maps yes
literally the only naval chart that they had for example was a French Crimean war era survey chart
they did have some more recent maps also but they werent very good and a map is also only as good as its user and those users were very bad
I took this picture from the beach, those are the cliffs in which the landing ANZACs were separated from each other leading to mass confusion, as the officers planning the landing, didn't know they were there, the troops who made the landing werent trained in specifically where to go, so the troops all went up the various gulleys and ravines and led to a complete disintegration of unit cohesion
this combined with a stiffening Ottoman resistance, as Attaturk had realised what was happening and over the course of the day was pouring every man he had at his disposal into the front, led to the disastrous order to dig in
an entirely disorganised unit of course, cannot push against even a small entrenched enemy who has the high ground
and the Ottoman troops who obviously realised the importance of those beaches fired with such ferocity that troops on all parts of the front believed they were taking machine gun fire, when of course there were no machine guns present and wouldn't be for weeks after the landings
oh, can i have a source for that last claim about taking machine gun fire
except for when he gets stuff wrong a disturbing percentage of the time
devolves serious discussion on history into shitty memes and mindless screeching by his fans
and plagiarizes shit

still prefer him over the likes of felton, i suppose, because he is at least funny
but not a high bar
his t-34 video, and then the armata video, eugh
part 1 of five on a thorough debunking of his magnum opus
Man, to think that there's unironically fans of him
I don't listen for history lessons obviously. I learned that with the ocean liner video
i mean, i find his style of content really funny
i would just prefer it if he was
you know
accurate
and gave sources
His sense of humor is good tho
Idk but to me his joke gets tiresome real fast
I did feel bad for him at the lira Gonzalez round table tho
Nobody should've been subjected to that hidden layer of hell
I mean, I get it
But when you also immediately went "wait, that's not how it works", it kills the joke
yeah when his content is you know
accurate
it's really funny
otherwise it comes off as seriously arrogant
especially if he fucking plagiarizes off of spookston
which isn't something you accidentally do
if i want military related comedy i just watch perun videos about [ ], since, well, yeah
Yeah he's not perfect
he's not perfect is putting it mildly
I'm particularly susceptible to overthink tropes I guess
It only need one or two blatantly wrong physics to kill my enjoyment of scifi movies for example
plagiarization is not a subconscious nor excusable decision
Per my memory, the Capitani Romani had quads, arranged 'clover' style.
were you screeching "proxy fuse!!!11!" at the Top Gun Maverick showings?

As for funny, I draw the line where it is funny and inaccurate
Is the Second Pacific Squadron funny? Yes.
Is it a pile of blatant bullshit written by a revisionist in the communist era? Also yes.
"Be [redacted], not wrong" - certain demented subreddit
Unfortunately, some jokes I see relating to the Russian Navy these days references that video in some way…
it is funny, and not all inaccurate
Coal dust on deck, yes. A monkey circus and Kamchatka hitting Aurora twice? A wee bit...sussy.
how do you even...nvrmd
I still don't know if Armata's engine is Tiger 2 Sla's engine is a joke or serious claim by him
I have no idea
tracking engine lineage is near impossible unless your a engine nerd
as always take youtube videos with a grain of salt especially with pig where its more entertainment than actual fact
🤨 tho I will give him the point on the T-14s driver station alongside its autoloader and its seeming lack of redundancy
depends on the context
in terms of a tank
having your gunner optic go out
and having no fall back is obviously
a bad thing
What you do if your optics get hit tho
tanks like abrams have a fall back optic
with crewless turrets you can't really do that
So if I destroy these in Abrams X
She is blind?
you'd have to destroy the CROWs station as well

in terms of T-14
you have two systems to shoot
to functionally blind the turret
She will be looking at you during that moment. Kinda risky ngl
depends on the scenario
again there's a lot of reasons why a gunners optic or commanders optic can be damaged or fully destroyed
it could be anything from artillery fragments to small arms fire
True
again I will point to abrams
the crew has 4 systems to acquire you from
Is it also on manlet of Abrams

EVERY TANKS SHALL HAVE STATE-MANDATED DWARF RIDING ON IT
camera pans to japanese crew struggling to operate chaffees and pattons because of their height
I mean tanks do prefer certain heights for crew
in fact wasn't the height issue one of the main kickstarters for domestic japanese tonk production
Navy is gigachad
Flood door entrance can still cause problems
i recall reading about that somewhere
those inflicted immense physical and psychological damage on me
I also love the growing insistence on ensuring the loader will never be able to frontally aim his machine gun on the Abrams
Heimdall
to be fair, the front is likely the least needed place for an MG to fire
120mm canister shot is a thing
We all know Su-57 video is coming
120mm canister is being dropped
what will we do when the zombie apocalypse comes
its being replaced by AMP
Is AMP trying to be Jack of all trades
🤨 I like world war z as a book tho I do have to say 120 MM HE being flung at a horde of zombies would at a minimum cripple them
also the entire mothballing of the C-17 fleet and C-5 fleets
well, zombies wouldn't exactly, you know
care about too much blunt force as a human would
since apparently the US doesn't have the jet fuel despite both rationing and you know massive stockpiles in it across the country
yeah but a bunch of crippled zombies can't really do much
World War zombies were unhinged
the movie isn't accurate to the book
in the book they were slow moving classical zombies
Walking dead zombies beating army was weird one
less annoying than ww2 tanks tbh
zombies are really unrealistic to win but the scenario is fun to explore
oh I like the book since it goes against the common zombie setting thing of the government doing either nothing or the bare minimum
its global governments and people trying to actually fight back and retake the planet
i think zombie plots are much more interesting if you don't have the primary transmission method be biting
but airborne
gestures at uss theodore roosevelt
I kinda like the last of us TV show style of zombie
fungi?
the problem is you still need to bite shit for that to transmit, i think
fungi able to spread through cereals and bites
like at least with newly produced shit its all untested and hypothetical so its more forgivable to say stupid shit about it
main vector in last of us was the food supply tbh
Dead space style infection
we've got full hindsight on ww2 tho and t-34s had exactly one competitor
correct
best tonk according to chieftain
Nobody can Bully IS-2 however

heavy tanks are kind of stinky by default from a practicality standpoint
but its probably the least stinky
idk, dug in jagdtiger is still a threat to contend with for an is-2
obligatory breakdown memes, but if you're defending on homesoil not as big of a concern
casemates cool and good
Bruh there is not much tank Jagtiger can't kill
yeah if you're not moving you're good
well you stated nothing could bully an is-2
i'd still be scared shitless of facing down a 128
I mean maybe 122mm HE can break her barrel or smh
you could probably just
yes, but the 128 is going right through anywhere
just wait for the IL-2 to shit on her
122mm HE would vaporize the crew
fling a bunch of 122 MM HE at a Jadgtiger until its armor cracks

you dont need the armor crack really
Hey, if 75 HE on shermans is enough to make a tiger shit itself and kill its electronics
the spalling from the first hit would turn them into meat
whoever hits first wins in this case but the is-2 glacial reload is gonna bite it in the ass
Huh, they were
i forget how shit the 128s was but i dont recall it being as bad
around 20+ seconds
iirc there was an incident during the 1944 Baltics campaign where 2 Tigers accidentally stumbled on half a dozen IS-2 resting or so, and because the ISs glacial reloads the Tigers managed to disable 2 of them before getting the hell out of dodge
You forget the Soviet Version?
that's not soviet
Wait
it was a Chinese conversion
'resting'
grazing in their natural habitat
thats almost as clowny at the first tiger 2 kill
in the east anyway
plenty
you know what's interesting
the US tech tree has a LVT with zis-4 on it as well
afaik, none were captured during korea though
There is this picture of Tiger 2 but
we have this instead
No idea how many times they shot her
it was before the introduction of China
peega
conversion of a American made vehicle so went into the US tree
meanwhile, wot
which was literally just some t-34 stuck in some crops on a farm as a brand new tiger 2 column rolled past it
yeah it's an israeli tank on an american hull but it has a french gun so into france it goes
and blasted three of them from like 200m out
Why small tracks
the original M50 was a French made conversion
managed to disable a 4th iirc
the French were the first to put a AMX-13 gun into the Sherman
these aren't really high performance enough to really bother with the tracks tbh

and the us just didn't really have as much experience
's why hellcats have tiny baby tracks too
western europe isn't as much mud hell as eastern europe is
wide tracks are always better
"This project started in 1954 and in 1955, a prototype turret was sent from France to Israel.[4] In March 1956, Israeli Ordnance Corps military facilities began to convert (up-gun) their Sherman tanks with 75mm tank guns of AMX-13s bought and received from France.[5] The 75mm tank gun was known in Israel as the M-50 and, as a result, the up-gunned Sherman was designated as the Sherman M-50."
extend
Now this is a Sherman I like
widest of shermans

what surprises me is, japan never had much SPGs
the lack of tank is understandable, given you're fighting china
but SPGs should almost always be useful in any combat scenario, no?
the main issue with Japan is actually getting their vehicles to places
alongside you know
navy sucking up the cash?
producing them in acceptable numbers
navy torpedoing what does make it off the production lin?
just build su-76s
Why not build coastal batteries instead
tanks are gonna be a better use of the limited production lines over a SPG
they weight five pounds and they cost a nickel and its the easiest way to bring a field gun to a fight
horse, exactly
why did japan not just jerryrig a 75 or something onto a hull
and call it a day
im with qwerty on this one a cheap, turretless gun barge would've been a godsend
the island defenders would've preferred that to type 69 with a peashooter fighting shermans
and let's be real, with the quantity of AT the chinese had available to them
with Japan's situation I'd argue that a full on tank would of been better even if it's a light tank since you can do more with it
a japanese su76 would be just as survivable in the chinese theatre anyways
more difficult to produce for less payoff tbh
a open top SPG no matter what is gonna be more vulnerable as a normal tank
The Type 1 Gun tank Ho-Ni I (一式砲戦車 ホニ I, Isshiki ho-sensha Ho-Ni I)
was a tank destroyer and self-propelled artillery developed by the Imperial Japanese Army for use during World War II in the Pacific theater. It saw limited combat action, being first deployed at the Battle of Luzon in the Philippines in 1945. There were two variant models know...
put a tarp over the top to make grenades roll off it then
fellow spg enjoyer
i mean, great, but
wouldn't this be way easier to pull off, and earlier in the war too?
i know i made a cute little island casemate exactly under this line of thinking
Real SU-57
the ones with the long dong 57mm are the funniest looking things
actual jousting rod
also thinking about it just going with motorized gun mounts wouldn't cut into tank production much
kremlin?
didn't the japanese already have 57s on their regular tonks?
oh I didn't realize kremlin change his name

Huh
well, as usual
ok I sleep
Oh
@tough quail
American soldiers with two female Red Army traffic controllers, July 1945
Man got the rizz
japan should've just used some of their 10,000 me 109s
Coastal batteries have a disturbing quality known as being useless when the enemy is already on the coast
Or getting destroyed by naval gunfire
A well made coastal turret battery is nigh invincible if properly supplied
Kremlin your 1st April username
coastal turrets can also be super accurate since they are stationary and can map out where shells would land
Fine no more White House
270mm turret roof

Yak-141
Why tho? They weren't doing mobile warfare and they didn't encounter built up fortifications a lot either
SPG gives them comparatively less advantage with the way and the terrain they conduct warfare
Nice destroyer
and thus is retired the holder of a very storied and noble name in the RAN
Could modern Mark 80 bombs penetrate battleship armor?
I mean if they can’t there’s plenty of bunker busters that can
#OTD in 1972, Captain John W. Ripley, USMC, single-handedly halted an NVA offensive by destroying Dong Ha Bridge. Facing heavy enemy fire, he spent 3 hours swinging under the bridge to place 500 lbs of TNT. He received this "bill" from Hanoi for the cost to replace the bridge.

the Admins are all hired by the CCP
Having a Z in your name makes you look like a supporter of a rather undesirable event currently ongoing in the world rn
nah, some are very overtly russian shills
Careful maka
Cant go around attacking genocide these parts

Because it’s politically controversial to
Not like genocide
I mean I woke up to a warn from you probably know who for posting a footling sandwich emote (days ago), but we have people like this here
we know what the alo team likes and who they dislike
I managed to get on you know who's craplist for calling them out probably so now they'll find stuff from days gone by that doesn't actually break rules but there's nothing you can do about it
see: last discussion on the matter
Decided to sleep and history turned to genocide talk
Just an average wehrb coming through.
bro a mix between wehr and Russia
there's no difference
It's times like these I hate my fellow IB fans
You'd be surprised how close they can intersect.
to address the point, I'd bet like $20 that DF and Zircon aren't all they're claimed to be
my rule of thumb tends to be the more chestbeat-y someone is about a brand new wunderwaffe the more they're compensating for something
why would saudi arabia buy DF and not american missiles when they can buy any american weapon they want as US' loyal ally in the middle east
American hypersonic don't have good testing results for now
Hell ARRW got canceled
lmao
And I don't know if US will export their hypersonic when finished
infrastructure and logistics
you say that like there's a comparable US equivalent
there is a term i'd like to use that would get me banned
why develop something like that when you already have the world's premiere navy
America has no SPAA
camera pans upwards to air force raping everything in sight
But you ARE developing it
Zumwalt will have Hypersonic in 2025 if things go as planned
Ah
I mean if enemy fleet reached to America land based anti ship range
Rip US fleet
yeah it's similar to the whole spaa thiing
(no it isnt)
why would you need that when you're already going to have to bring the navy and air force with you

Leaving spaa was kinda shortsighted since small drone threat was I think wasn't considered
Now people looking at cannons again
Turkish Pantsir
Leonidas Microwave
Uhh German 35mm thingy
hold on they named something leonidas' microwave
not taking drones into consideration also makes sense when you realize like
how much of the army's fleet is from the 80s-90s
drones will probably be the premier weapon for half a century to come
and we had a virtual monopoly on drones for a while
let him cook hot dogs in the spartan microwave
there's also the SHORAD Stryker
why is there a guy named german engineering/eugen's husband and a Z in their name here
that there are actual advanced EW pieces here (and drones that are better)
because they didnt want to fucking sell them
and not shoved into a locker where they belong
an alo moment
you underestimate america's thirst for arms sales
I should be Homelander for next April fools
anyway the whole "muh carrier killer missiles" thing is just lmao

oh shet

nah, red guardian
Even
carriers are ships
Tho say. How do you stop a hypersonic flying into a carrier right now?
same way you stop a normal one
throw shit at it
hypersonics are way easier to detect, even
the weird duality of carriers are obsolete/carriers are invincible is asinine and annoying
the whole "oooooh this missile shall make carriers nothing more than floating mass casualty events"
like
But that wants speed, interception flies to assumed range where enemy missile will go, problem is this time its at least x2 faster. So chase is already impossible
'yo you ever wondered about the ending of pi'
'you know what that's interesting'
America and USSR refused to sell that shit so they hit up china for the DF-3
my brother in Christ the US knew how important naval missile defense is since the mid 1960s

its the Df 21 d now an probably more to follow
regal pls
where do you think Aegis came from
why not 26D
I willed it into existence
they probably don't need it
why do you think carrier task forces are designed around protecting the carrier
so I could get to this point, and use leonidas microwave to cook
my next stop is athena's oven

there's no "this will kill every carrier ever" and no "carriers are unsinkable AA fortresses"
You don't need sink the carrier however. A hit around catapult deck will force it to take months of repair
just because something is designed to do something doesnt mean it will always succeed
you mean leonoardo da vinci
this goes for carrier defense and anti-ship missiles
the person who throws the most shit at the wall always wins
or even do what they say it will
i hate the goofy ass modern warfare idea that if something is ever lost its useless and obsolete
I've seen some folks here unironically believe the former
you throw shit at enemie
and if something hasnt been lost yet
its invulnerable to harm
this isnt how warfare works
You know it's ironic when this leads to ww2 times when
BB vs Aircraft carrier arguments
Now it's Hypersonic vs Carrier
ww2 is a great example
carriers blew the fuck up left and right
they're still great
x being replaced has always been due to capability rather than weakness
case in point, ww1 cavalry
Its effective to some degree
drone kamikazes will be a great tactic
don't explain it to me horse, explain it to this dude
Z wehraboo
a russian and a french horse is going to get shot by a machine gun and die either way, but in the east the horse can at least attack the enemy without getting stuck in barbed wire
actually arguing with them
fair
you're basically yelling into a beehive
Cavalry is always OP tho
fasciboo
that was the JS Izumo, how many DDgs for escort do they have to keep it from being hit
and thus horsememes was granted his power
not a US CG
Jan Willem de Winter sounds very French

That was the joke or something
Dunno
B A G U E T T E
in any situation where it would have to face down either of those missiles, it'd be pretty decently escorted
wow you seriously believe this bullshit
I mean actually thinking about it
insane how dumb you tankies are
DF's the only one it'd ever realistically have a chance of facing
i cant use either of the other 2 terms otherwise i will get banned
do not lump me in with this level of autism

at least the soviets actually won wars
don't be a tankie then

do not the fasciboo
This cavalry versus ships thing is like the emu war battle except the emu war actually was being fought in.
again i cant use the actual word to classify them because it's very close to another very bad word but with a single letter changed
yeah valid
oh you're a tankie I wonder if you have read Mao
because I can't imagine a certain country being able to mount an offensive around the kurils in the next decade or so
does it start with the last letter of your name
the original does
myrtle moment

it's even more bizarre considering how everything is going
everyone hates us, that means 80% of people believe this is good and likes us
i guess the opinion of africans and indians don't matter
I win next election with 175% of vote
get kazanstan and make it BRICKS
dw
You seriously think all indians are a single blob of opinion
Since when did the Indians start being spoken for like that.
SOMEBODY has been watching too much propganda
The Indians have been doing their own shit for a while
yeah, everyone has
welcome to 20 fucking 23
not russia make stuff up channel
I also can't imagine India's happy with [current event]
C H E A P OIL
funny you would mention india
seeing as
"what do you mean the T-90s we ordered blew up"
y'all remember how the tanks they paid for got yeeted onto the front lines and deleted in the first 3-4 months
I would say they are. Buys oil from Russia then sells to Europe in more expensive price
tfw no proper art for this majestic piece.
id start pinging the mods if i were you, eugen, so they could bail you out
go to the discord feedback channel
so that we can tell you you are wrong there too
"What do you mean they collapsed in on themselves due to poor construction"
lmao who is buying all that russian oil and selling it to europeans at a premium
No tank is immortal if you don't have good support for them as mentioned. Turkey Leopard 2 Syria experince shows the same thing
They will die to atgms and other things
that's not the part kremlin
Huh
Idiotz
if I was buying a car from someone
That's my name for them
SIPRI noted that arms exports worldwide have long been dominated by the United States and Russia, with the two countries ranking first and second over the past three decades.
But Russia’s gap over France, the third-biggest exporter, narrowed, with Paris’s share rising to 11 percent from 7.1 percent.
"France is gaining a bigger share of the global arms market as Russian arms exports decline, as seen in India, for example," Wezeman said. “This seems likely to continue, as by the end of 2022, France had far more outstanding orders for arms exports than Russia.”
U.S. arms exports rose 14 percent from the 2013-17 period to 2018-22, while Russia’s exports tumbled 31 percent. France’s exports rose 44 percent, mainly to states in Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East.
India received 30 percent of France’s arms in the recent five-year period, surpassing the United States as the second-largest supplier of weaponry to New Delhi.
doesn't mention [ ] by name, so mods will have to try a bit harder to ban us
also about that economy thing

sounds almost like why someone entered ww1
they're so confident in it, the day after a certain NYT reporter publishes a piece on their financial situation he suddenly disappears
wooo
woooooo
spooky

he quietly died of old age in his sleep, with 5 bullet shots to the back of the head
at the age of 31
Ohh that way, I think you can make exception during wars for delays, British WW1 dreadnought yoinking was most hardcore example
8 DDGs, 28 of what the west would call frigate
which guess what
is more than Russia
the whole fucking concept of china invading anyone these days is comedically stupid anyways
ok sure, a battleship is one thing
distract the populace with what
does russia even have the abality to even build new modern ships n shit
have you seen china's population graph
didnt population fall by like 12M this year
22-23
reportedly
how did Afghanistan go for you
Gorshkov class is not modern?
which meant it actuallly began falling at least a year earlier
but you'd think the so-called powerhouse of eastern europe would have enough kitted-out tanks to not have to pull from paid-for export models to fill out their frontline troops
I wouldn't know, I'm chinese myself
They're western import reliant
they havent built any surface vessel heavier than 5.4k tons since the USSR fell
have we been invading there?
Not yet?
China will grow larger.
We lasted twice as long as you did
better than for the soviets lmfao
get ready for the 3 child policy where you must have 3 kids or else we put you in the "special" place
state mandated GFs coming
oh same
monkey's paw curls, the Republic of China doubles in size
bruh you just realized that
wow you manage to hit every bullseye on the dartboard at once
What happened in 1960
reminds me of someone
I think that gives us a BINGO doesn't it
the west is so evil and stuff
im a baathist
computers are evil west technology
we fucking threw babies into the river
if the baby didn't have a dick, we gave it a hell of a kick
Criticize the government

^ what he said
"Democracy is ability to insult the president"
Ewwwww
hey unde you called it
💀
god, the communists at least have north korean nukes
"says the election was stolen" gets sent to prison
