I HATE THE US SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY I HATE THE US SHIPBUILDING INDUSTRY
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
I LOVE MASS PRODUCTIONI LOVE MASS PRODUCTIONI LOVE MASS PRODUCTION
imagine if we could export LHDs like we do with other capabilities
What a world that would be
in terms of the CV program, idk its within Korea's reach
I don't really think its too much considering their blue water navy program
They have the shipbuilding capability for sure
Tech gadgets also won't be that much of a problem to license compared to KF21 components for example
ill take one
And why is it China
they're comedically bad but they look cool
I hate the LCS's since there's a world where there actually valid surface combatants with affordable costs
No what I’m wondering is
HUH?
Are you gonna send an LHD after pirates
You don't run LHD doing PF duties...
so we can ask congress for more funding
LCS was meant for a mixture of missions that freed up larger vessels for other missions
the issue is uhhhh
They’re shit
they can't perform half of those intended missions
MISSION CREEP
They’re just shit
since they cut the programs for them
Congress fucking over yet another program
Also drones can probably just handle pirates way better these days
patrol boats can't have navy grade sonars on them
Congress gotta congress
Just have one drop a guided grenade and the Somalis or whoever are fucked
just take all those shitty 105s we try putting on light tanks and put them on patrol boats
Congress trying not to porkbarrel a project
impossible
american sea-34 spam lets go
send a MQ-9
problem solved
Yeah like
LCS with like 16 VLS cells, the anti submarine and mine warfare modules and we would of had the ultimate light surface combatant
If your pirates have AA and armored decks and hulls
Cruise missile
You can afford to send a destroyer after them
Someone probably will eventually want it to have 30 day endurance or something
Thinking about it, that the next capable platform for USN is Cyclone class is wild
somebody update me on who got the MQ-9 remains from the black sea
no one has
There’s nothing really for them to get
its 20+ year old drone hardware
Data was scrubbed before it hit the water
and lord knows the Russians aren’t in any position to reverse engineer technology rn
Sell it to the chinese
we can
Ez, send to Iran
when you’re sending captured equipment to Iran for analysis you know you’re doing bad
American stuff looks cooler
in fact the Iranians I'm pretty sure already have reverse engineered predators
i think i could build you something rougghly comparable to an mq-9 these days
it's old as sin
Hell the Air Force is even trying to divest em
also its like.. a drone
its just a flying dick you strap stuff to
its not very complicated
I don't think anyone is in for the tech, They're probably more interested in the data
Kaman 22 (UAV) (Persian: پهپاد کمان ۲۲) is an Iranian wide-body unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) unveiled on the 24th of February, 2021 by the Islamic republic of Iran Air Force. It is said to be the country's first wide-body drone. The range of the Kaman 22 is approximately 3,000 km (1,900 mi) and it can carry 300 kg (660 lb) of explosives...

The Chengdu GJ-1, also known as Wing Loong 1, is a Medium-Altitude Long-Endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group in the People's Republic of China. Yea I know we have that
The Chengdu GJ-2, also known as Wing Loong 2, is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of remotely controlled or autonomous flight developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group in the People's Republic of China. Intended for use as a surveillance and aerial reconnaissance and precision strike platform, Chengdu unveiled the concept of Wing ...
but MQ-9 looks cooler
Iran is ironically enough the most Freeaboo miltech-wise
THERE LITERALLY MQ-9 CLONES
THE MQ 9 LOOKS COOLER
they look the fucking same
other than the Wing loong 2
The Chengdu Wing Loong-3 is a Medium-Altitude Long-Endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial combat vehicle (UCAV), developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group in the People's Republic of China. Intended for use as a multi-purpose platform, including anti-air, anti-submarine warfare (ASW), ground strike, maritime strike, search and rescue, and surve...
The Wing Loong-10 (Chinese: 翼龙-10; pinyin: Yìlóng-10, Literal meaning: Winged Dragon, military designation WZ-10) is a series of unmanned aerial vehicles of the High-Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) type, featuring some stealth characteristics. As of 2017 it is being developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group for reconnaissance and precision...
The Sokol Altius (also Altair) is a medium-altitude long-endurance Russian unmanned combat aerial vehicle developed by OKB Sokol (formerly known as Simonov Design Bureau) and Tranzas to perform reconnaissance, strike and electronic attack missions on behalf of the Russian Air Force and Navy. The program started in 2011 and thus far 3 prototypes ...
I like the PLAAF ones
Russians also have this in service
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahed_129
The Shahed 129 (Persian: شاهد ۱۲۹, English: "witness" or "martyr"; sometimes S129) is an Iranian single-engine medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) designed by Shahed Aviation Industries for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The Shahed 129 is capable of combat and reconnaissance missions and has an end...
what about the PLAAF ones
Saudis and other Gulf states have been operating export versions over Yemen
Someone tell me how effective are the J-6 and 7 drones
alright
For a moment I thought German empire was back
Then Egypt, but that doesn't make sense either
so not very fucking well
They're not supposed to take fire anyway
No fucking shit who woulda known
a loss =/= bad
the best equipment in the world will be lost in droves in protracted combat
I know that lol
shit blows up got it
The T-14 and PL-1 never lost in combat thus they are better than the Abrams
I posted the Wing Loongs like that since like the rest of the Saudi campaign
it hasn't gone well
what does the N mean
F
What being P2W noob do to an army
Mfs brough premiums
I mean it could be worse
The North Yemen Civil War (Arabic: ثورة 26 سبتمبر, romanized: Thawra 26 Sabtambar, lit. '26 September Revolution') was fought in North Yemen from 1962 to 1970 between partisans of the Mutawakkilite Kingdom and supporters of the Yemen Arab Republic. The war began with a coup d'état carried out in 1962 by revolutionary republicans led by the army ...
you could be the Egyptians
they were basically thrown to their deaths
by their leadership
"Egyptian field commanders complained of a total lack of topographical maps causing a real problem in the first months of the war. Commanders had difficulty planning military operations effectively or sending back routine and casualty reports without accurate coordinates. Field units were given maps that were only of use for aerial navigation. Chief of Egyptian Intelligence, Salah Nasr, admitted that information on Yemen was nonexistent. Egypt had not had an embassy in Yemen since 1961; therefore when Cairo requested information from the US ambassador to Yemen, all he provided was an economic report on the country.[3]"

Funny US Doritos
put some salsa on it
ignoring how, you even said it yourself, the KF-21 doesnt pretend to be stealthy rn
we are comparing KOREA to Russia
arent the KF-21 and the TA-50 LITERALLY the only indigenous planes they ever built?
and one is a bootleg american fifth gen
and the other is a compact f-16
Apparently putting salsa on multi million dollar planes is a felony

compared to Russia which at least has an History in actually building their own planes
i would say the comparison is a bit
eh
Tell HQ to bail me out pls
I mean
We’re comparing russia or the Soviet Union which where huge af to SK
the point was
complaining about a problem that literally doesnt actually exist
dead silence on "why are you even trying to stealth at this point"

like at that point just.. make a regular fighter and do the stealth thing later
not
pay all the expensives and tradeoffs of stealth
with none of the stealth
and its not like south koreans dont know hot to military
going from essentially no actual domestic tanks to K2s is a hilarious glow up
apply the weapons bay later
its just raw dumb decision making
KF-21 has been marketed as the high end of 4.5 gen with room to legitimately enter 5
Not a SK military professional
rather than trying to market itself as xXx5thgenNATOslayer999xXx
doesnt actually exist
right
yes
Other than CMs and radar scrambling thingies, what other protection do planes got against AAMs,both IR and radar
Still weird af decision for her to use missile exposed like that ngl
At least Turkey's MMU does have interior bays
That won't compromise her stealth geometry
I know Korea will also make that in later variants of Kf-21 but...why start like this in first place
Ok yeah for it to be fair comparison I will watch the developments of MMU and KF-21 carefully as mentioned now
If MMU does end up more promising in performance and actually using her weapon bays then I can laugh at this decision of Korea on literally killing the stealth of Kf-21
It will be fair since this is first fighter of Turkey as well
maybe they wanted experience before committing to something only 2 superpowers actually managed to achieve
from what I’ve said earlier it’s likely there still developing the necessary systems and software for the internal bays
also what undefined said
How come Turkey doesn't encounter such problem
because they arent open about it
Hmm
Turkeys plane hasn’t even flown yet
and the MMU is
Nor has it gone through weapons trials
several years behind the KF-21
KF-21 is already going through weapons trials
Yeah but. Her first flight wasn't that long ago
Those being?
US and china
On 2 July 2022, Defence Industry Agency published the invitation to tender for the domestic development of the engine to be used and İsmail Demir, undersecretary for Defence Industry Agency, stated that TRMotor, which is a subsidiary of TEI, has submitted its proposal and Turkish Air Engine Company (TAEC), consortium by Kale Group and Rolls-Royce, will submit its offer soon.
they
dont even have an actual engine for it yet
So did the Su-57 fail due to the bad RCS and shape?
Kf-21 first flight
July 19, 2022
Kf-21 first firing
March 2023
It takes time to make shit ig
Like KF-21
Who is using American engine
Mixture of corruption and budget issues
MMU will use F-16's engine that they build for decades
for the prototype
So
I don't think 21 will always use US engine
Who would win
Will she?
block 10 F-16 or Block 50 F-16
my only criticism is that they went with the gripen/F-18 engines over the F-16/F-15 engines
they have no reason not to, Korea isnt likely to fall on the US's bad side
I wonder what would win something from the 70s that lacks BVR capability or a top of the line 1990s fighter
Mommy US
They always say daddy America
I think turkeys domestic industry is able to produce such a plane, main issue is just getting the necessary technology transfers

Likely because of uncle sam
the Turkish fighter is using the better engines even if they’re F-16 engines
Yup
IRST's shape is better as well
F-35 style ish
Kf-21 use Soviet style ball type?
Explain
Or savings
Nice ball
She was built in the era where almost no US fighters had IRST
mainly since the US never really needed IRST
And she planned to have one yes
until recently
Then budget cuts hit
Why
my favourite plane
I though IRST was just a replacement for shit radars
the Phalanx
F-22 is getting one tho apparently
AIM-260s just a AMRAAM successor
I mean there is the air launched ERAM
That would likely outrange almost anything if it actually goes into service
I mean I can build a prototype with 5000km range but nut mean much if I can't put it on general use
Also actually hitting targets out to those ranges as marketed with the R-37 and PL-15 is still uhhh
Challenging against a maneuvering target
why tf does the PL-15 on J-20 look like some kid made it with construction paper
Ain't PL 15 is for Tankers and awacs focus anyway
yeah but to actually get it on target you have to go through a sea of fighters
Hmm
at a minimum there’s 6 aircraft usually protecting a AWACs
throw in other issues such as jamming, decoys so on and so on
That reduce maximum effective range and probability to hit
You can try to overwhelm by shooting 6-8 PL-15 on single Awacs tho
imagine needing to cope over something as cool as a blackbird
It was a stupid decision to tweet it like that
Wasting missiles much?
these shits expensive
also people tend to forget the soft factors beyond missiles such as data link and other factors
like my god LM have some dignity
tf they carrying on that mf
And honestly if it does nobody any favors to go "hehe imply we have classified super fast stuff"
mf cat girl prototype???
🤨 AMRAAMs a good missile because of its datalink capabilities
I think SR-72 will likely get cancelled since she isn't faster than Hypersonic missiles
Like what's it's point now
SR-72 is a internal Lockheed project
Explain data link
hypersonic deez
Your tricks dont work on me,Old man
do I really have to explain something as basic as multiple systems sharing data?
Plaaf just Google these basic terms
this guy thought it was a good idea to have [Z] PLAAF as a username earlier
Wh
I was blending in earlier
guess once he gets rid of the O
with some chinese dude
It’s gonna be a V next
👁️
Oreo
What do hypersonic missiles have to with planes

V for victory

courageous claims from tato

Kazakhstan Sukhois
Current hypersonic missiles are hypersonic either because they are straight up ballistic missiles that gain velocity thanks to the arc or fired from planes already going insanely fast
Neither of those things would work for AAMs
Chinese Suhkois
I don’t think your gonna be hitting maneuvering fighters with a hypersonic unless you get extremely lucky
maybe get a extra balloon kill
F-22 the balloon killer
just shotgun blast like 100 with nuclear warheads they’ll get something
insert air to air nuclear rocket meme
with the START treaties out of the picture unironically we should probably return to nuclear ABMs
asiatic super meth
I hope to god that thing never makes it off the drawing board
Likely
If it does then what
👁️
cringe us army drone guy vs wholesome chinese tank children
But what if the drone was a mothership
Bayraktar TB7 be like
"Boss,you just killed a child!"
Turkey superpower 2030 💪
Anyway the modern discourse around hypersonic has copium from both sides
Being both overhyped and underestimated
Better to over estimate than under
for that is the heart of all military discourse
it all boils down to clockwise or counterclockwise circlejerking
Just dont be like the people who believe a Kinzhal can dig 120m meters and destroy a bunker full of nato officers in [redacted]
God i hate twitter
I think I know why Lockheed had to cope about Sr-71. It's likely reaction to this
https://www.defensenews.com/air/2023/03/30/us-air-force-drops-lockheed-hypersonic-missile-after-failed-tests/
The service's acquisition chief made the comments a day after Secretary Frank Kendall told lawmakers the latest ARRW test failed.
The tweet was older than that
BRAND NEW RISSIAN SUPER MISSILE SPROUTS LEGS AND FUCKS US GENERALS MOTHER AFTER NOSCOPING ENTIRE PENTAGON

Horsememe what the fuck
im goimg to pretend the typo was intentional
I think only thing that ever hit Pentagon was an airliner
Just like the 2nd typo?
They missed
I think
i dunno some dumbass has probably crashed a car into the building before somehow
Nothing says credibility like using 2 year old pictures from syria
I wouldn't call this miss
I salute your sacrifice

i... thought you just made up something stupid like i did
not that someone actually claimed this
Incredible
real
I assume you don't use twitter
The claims both sides make sometimes
I go on twitter to watch big anime tits
and CCP state propganada
or are my eyes going blind
shoutout to the armored warfare official account desperately pleaing
"please stop making fucking stupid tank takes"
Feels smaller from here
meanwhile, sprocket
ok they squished the font
My many stupid ideas failed in sprocket
guys
real question here
assuming the abrams doesnt fire back
if I shoot at it enough times to degrade the armor with a T-26
will it actually break trought
fuck cant spell
You can kill Abrams from side with a Tiger 88mm if close enough irrc
It's always about range and where you shooting
war thunder armor sim says you can with a 37mm point blank
you do not need an 88 to get through the sides of an abrams
you could get through it with an old us 57mm
Yeah
basically every modern MBT has paper for sides
soviets are the thickest and thats like a whopping 70-80mm
dont russian ones got ERA
yeah i mean the actual hull sides
The western ones have ERA as well on the sides
And thanks to soon Leopard 2
She will have Soviet eras

Leopard 2 has add on armor kits
Like Ukraine had that T-84 with Nato 120mm
i wonder if we can get a leo2 to look like a ghetto black eagle if we go hard enough on the ERA

Cages for A-7 when
Or is this A6
Always confuse two
slats are aesthetic as fuck
whats the difference
i forget what the difference between 7 and 6 is in totality
a few things I don’t feel like describing beyond one has gen III thermals and the other has gen I
noted
5 to 6 has the important change of: it doesnt look hideous anymore
Barely visible to eye differences
2a4s look fine and 2a6s look great
the arrowhead with the old hull front though
looks
horrible
🤨 generally never got that person who tried to argue with me that the leopard had better sights than the abrams alongside the leopards hull ammo not being a issue
I like Abrams but feel like she is not getting her full potential
What if
Despite the budget she can easily get
it looks kind of weird from the side but from the front abrams look great
we put a TUSK kit on a bradley
too heavy
cut down on some
in regards to abrams eh she’s in line of what everyone else is doing
they made a specific kit for the bradley
closest your getting to a A3 is thumper
I know the BUSK
But the Cold War ended making thumper unneeded
it was never going to get through anyway
Lets start a new cold war!
Yeah Soviets were developing a counter but collapsed before that
with absolute assloads of corner cutting and skimping out for budgets
there was literally no way in hell thumper was ever
ever approaching service
People forget T72s were for M60s
152mm MBT projects of Soviets were for things like Abrams
it very much did
Imagine the big boom of the 152mm autoloader being smoked
late 70s,no?
man by 83 there were well over 1000 in service
Wtf
by 1990 there were 9000+
Krem what
I don't know why it send itself
His FBI agent did a whoops
people tend to forget the USs ability to massively produce things if it actually invests into said capability
Never forgot
like the US for awhile was producing over 900 abrams a year
Waking the giant is scary
LCS class mass production
Navy incompetence
mass producing ships n shit are hard
^ what he said
thats not what i meant
it was put into service basically as stripped down as it could get and then built into an actual mbt over time
MBT-70
the base m1 skimps on... just about everything you can think of
by 85 it had a 120, DU armor and multiple other upgrades
and the m1a1 isnt much better
how about SEP
Yeah Abrams began with 105mm
The bog standard M1 made up a fraction of the production run
120mm ammo when M1 entered service with a 105mm was worse than the available 105mm ammo
unfortunately the lack of budget is still biting it in the ass
because lmao germans
The M1IP and M1A1 yes they were major upgrades over the standard
then they re-gooded it with the M1A2

whats the protocol for when a important piece of shit is boutta be captured by the enemy?
The M1A1HA, HC additionally introduce armor on par with the A2s
so if you think they were going to put in the thumper meme machine when they basically had to piecemeal the abrams into service...
yeah
Thumper was a representation of a best possible abrams with late 80s technology
Did US start with horrible Abrams model because they were worried of Soviets pumping so many tanks?
"horrible"
and they can produce some fantastic tanks with the shackles taken off
If the Cold War went on yes I very much believe something like thumper would should up in the 90s or 2000s
despite Horse's coping, they still kick the shit out of the Soviet opposition
Didn't mean to offend, I mean worst one of Abrams
The US doctrine called for like better of less shit no?
Bog standard M1 isn’t a bad tank
I MEAN AS WORST M1
again when it came out the T-80 didn’t even have ERA yet

projecting time
you've snorted too much of Sarc's bullshit Horse
yeah this probably isn't gonna budge on either side
Leo 3 when
and challengers but they look cool so i dont really give a shit
sure they suck ass but man they look sick
After A9
when a9
After a8
when a8
Dunno
bruh
At the end of the day
If someone asks you
If you would rather have 3k MBT or 300 planes
Plaen
You will always go for planes
man I just want armor stats for the A2 that aren’t the export Swedish ones
Type 99B when
the export swedish ones aren't even like, armor stats
they're weird results from using RHA as an analogue
I WANT MY A2 TO ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO EAT KORNETS TO THE CHEEK LIKE ITS SUPPOSE TO!
the only trials that matter are the greek ones for the hilarious FRENCH SUPER GPS HACKING story
Desert storm planes pictures are more popular than the tank one
TOO BAD NO CUZ ITS CLASSIFIED OR SOME SHIT
Moment indeed
in light of recent events especially the greek trials are funny
germany bribing the greek government out of the ass
french techno wizards trying to sabotage the us and britain
britain sending ammo from the 1800s
meanwhile, the us/ukraine/russia
"heres a tank buddy tell us what you think"
the death of M1 Abraham Lincoln
I'm predicting by 2025 the Swedish tree in WT is gonna receive a M1A2 that for no reason has the Svenskt Skydd armor scheme while the US is still using the export armor
Western sources saying china sending plaen parts to russia
Best doctrine ngl. The big stick
Fuck the army
Go full on navy (and I assume also more on air force it existed during that time)
Im hoping they give me my J-10 to 15s
probably by next year or early 2025
UFP: no
DAMMIT I WANT MY SOVIET PLANES IN chinese EDITION
Uhh
idk we don't even have a F-15A yet
fuck the J-8
nor a Su-27
J-8's a proto MiG-25
most of the planes i want are in besides rafales at this point so im gonna be waiting a hot minute
Su-27 ftw
J-8 is a slightly fatter Mig-21 with 2 engines
Mig 29 vs F-16
So it will be F15 vs Su-27
I feel like
yall have enough advanced shit
the MIG-25 is gonna end up sucking by virtue of Gaijin waiting too long to add it
China block 70s when
Learn, and be enlightened
i mean its just a goofy interceptor
J-8 is the Ye-152A
Which was one of the proto-MiG-25 designs
and?
do I need to tell you the difference between a plane from 1978 vs a plane that hasn't even entered service yet?
They add shit that never existed
Fine
F-15 vs Su-27
Su-24 vs F-111
Mig-25 vs ....... hmm
Su-34 vs F-15E Strike eagle
Su-33 vs F-18?
block 52s
man the F-16 Block 10 is from the 70s
J-20 VS F-22/35

there's not really a mig-25 equivalent, they'll just throw that in for funnies like freestyles i assume
while the F-16 ADF is a 90s modernization for the block 10 that only added Sparrow and AMRAAM integration
Su-47 will be lit af
She is fourth gen right
F-15s clean are close, but are limited to 5 minute sprints at M2.5+
i more mean in terms of actual doctrinal use
but yeah valid
Clean F-15s can do about the same (non-engine-destroying mode) speed as a -25. Unfortunately, the canopy doesn't like this.
Tomcat not being the highest BR is still criminal
why its not 12.0 I can't tell
Gaijin just fucking hates us
Isn't MiG-25's whole gimmick being a very fast brick
why my game decides 90% of my missiles will suffer guidance failures? I feel like the snail is conspiring against me
because US top tier air players are as heinously shit as german ww2 ground players
yes
They just dont flare/chaff no more
it's a nuke interceptor
The MiG-25 is mostly to go very fast and go very high, while carrying the biggest AAM ever put into service.
She has inferior engines still. Still op af tho
her engines are bad since its a F-14A
US air players are just bad, not limited to top tier
which is?
tho in terms of top tier she's gonna be top dog until the F-15 and Su-27 show up
they're especially bad at top tier
I powergrinded the italian tree during the christmas event from 5.0 to 11.0 and god i hate this BR and missile combat so much
they presumably just slam on dangerzone then crash on takeoff
be me
unlock G4M1
oh cool 800kg bomb
does like no damage
mfw i dropped an ap bomb on a base
now play with me
no
mf look like it can carry a nuke
i'm afk grinding bombers
Im grinding bombers too
Man imagine B-36 with her Cloudmaker bomb 43,600lb (19,800kg)
You can easily delete any BB ever
Lancaster boutta be replaced
man I just the US tree to have something with laser guided bombs
you know the bombs we invented
but never got for some reason
dont A-6TRAM have guided boom
yeah but I'm not spending 70 dollars for a A-6
Soviets will replace her if they add Tu-22, since she can drop Fab-9000
meanwhile i just want to play a br 4 bomber without dying to a single 20mm
I almost have Tu-14T
why can't i even get tracers on defensive guns
Impossible
pain
defensive guns never get tracer belts
cuz fuck you
BV-238 tracers
Premiums get premium shit
tf yall talking about
anyway one thing I will note
isn't backfire a bomber
alot
Backfire is a bomber, Blinder is a booze cruiser.
🤨 I swear the Ka-50 has F-35 grade stealth when you try to lock it with a plane radar
Didn't they buff SPAAG radar
and they say its not op
Or range
I'm talking air to air radars
pantsir only
Oh
other Spaags also get longer range buffs
it had to have f-35 grade stealth to sneak into 10.3
in terms of SPAAG radars the introduction of the pantsir and its consequences will scar top tier for generations
Instant boom
fuck cas except russian cas
Everyone else gets US's best stuff except for the US themselves for some reason
Qwerty on the Russia payroll?
also it's hilarious how like
Gaijin be like "cuz fuck uS players"
bombers in low tier RB is totally useless
Nato never invested on Spaags like Soviets did that's the biggest problem. If you ask me what's nato Pantsir what's the answer
Small payload= no damage
ADATS
no i can two shot bases with ease
it's that airfields are so tanky with insta kill aa that you have to be 4km+ upwards to even bomb them
Which we had already
thats the point lmao
and even then it takes multiple people to bomb it to knock out the base
its been like for since
yeah but rounds last 25
so you're just an npc in the team deathmatch in mid
basically
I was wondering when you would pop up
Cuz fuck you and your fun

its a history channel
just get Tu-4/B-29
for history
we talking about historical aircraft
not for talking about a fucking terrible game
what if i steal one

Ok Spon you asked for this
"The aircraft were equipped to carry 600 (US) gallon (2,271 liter) external drop tanks, and to carry 6 BVR missiles such as the AIM-7 Sparrow or AIM-120 AMRAAM."
What is the history of best Australian food
A-6 intake is worst
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
sea eagle...
then there's the F-15 I kinda wish ended up becoming more than just a prototype
Ooooo
2D thrust vectoring
with canards
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 STOL/MTD (Short Takeoff and Landing/Maneuver Technology Demonstrator) is a modified F-15 Eagle. Developed as a technology demonstrator, the F-15 STOL/MTD carried out research for studying the effects of thrust vectoring and enhanced maneuverability. The aircraft used for the project was pre-production TF-15A (F-15B) No...
they may look good but meh never happened
superior maneuverability over the standard 15
wat type of bomber is it?
alongside being able to use much shorter runways
Demonstrated vectored takeoffs with rotation at speeds as low as 42 mph (68 km/h)[6]: 194
A 25-percent reduction in takeoff roll[6]: 193
Landing on just 1,650 ft (500 m) of runway compared to 7,500 ft (2,300 m) for the standard F-15[6]: 193
Thrust reversal in flight to produce rapid deceleration[6]: 194
its not a bomber
its a fighter
oof nvm
basically would of let the F-15 make use of damaged runways while offering better maneuverability overall
Great for ground support
considering its a modified F-15B nope
I meant B
" the sixth F-15 off the assembly line, and was the oldest F-15 flying up to its retirement."
straight just
oldest F-15 that was still flying that they modified into the test airframe

Clive Caldwell was Australias highest scoring fighter ace, achieving 27 solo kills, and 3 shared kills for a total of 28.5 kills
He would fly P-40s in North Africa and the Middle East, developing a tactic known as shadow shooting, which would be widely adopted by the Desert Air Force
During his time in North Africa, he was ambushed by German fighter ace Werner Schröer (credited with 114 kills) and his aircraft took over 100 machine gun hits, and 5 20mm cannon hits, suffering 3 individual wounds, however was able to down Schröer's wingman and cripple the German aces own plane
In 1942 Caldwell alongside most of the RAAF would transfer to the Pacific and converted to the Supermarine Spitfire, and in his first combat sortie over Darwin, would down 2 zeroes and a B5N
In 1943 he would be transferred to Victoria, taking over command of 2OTU, training many of the RAAFs pilots, by 1944 he was returned to Darwin and in early 1945 was sent to Morotai with the First Tactical Air Force, where he would participate in the Morotai Mutiny
The Morotai Mutiny was a protest by RAAF pilots of 1TAF, as they saw themselves being sent on dangerous, but strategically worthless missions, the protest would see 3 senior officers relieved of command, while Caldwell and the other mutineers were acquitted, and while operations did not dramatically change, morale on Morotai improved dramatically and 1TAF would participate in in the 1945 battle of Tarakan
Caldwell was later demoted after it was found he was involved in the alcohol smuggling racket on Morotai, with RAAF pilots flying alcohol onto the island and trading it with American servicemen, and would leave the RAAF in 1946
P-51D?
Bruh lmao
3 SQN RAAF flew P-51Ds in Italy and Yugoslavia actually
the Australian manufactured Mustangs never saw combat

It will take five years for the two shipbuilders that build Virginia-class attack boats to deliver two submarines a year, according to the Navy’s latest estimates of the production schedule. Three officials who have been briefed on the Navy’s estimates told USNI News that General Dynamics Electric Boat and HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding would p...

The Navy has issued a $1.295 billion contract modification to HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding for the detail design and construction of LPD-32, the last San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock under the service’s current budget plans. The contract, announced Friday, follows a $240 million advanced procurement award issued to Ingalls last June for...

The war ended
What is inaccurate about that
Normally that phrase is used like in Vietnam or in the GWOT where its basically saying the US left before it ended but Here it's the other way around where the US entered after it started
Like "In 1973 the US ended involvement in Vietnam" sort of thing
In WW2
New LCS eh?
American subs needs more attention for their part in ww2
did they specify any conflict
or just ww2

utterly massive EN moment, jfc
ww2
something something the US has been illegally occupying japan since then so the war never ended or something
idk im not an anti american propagandist
wats da point of saying that when its the end of the war
because the US wasn't involved when the war started
it's just saying one is the reason the US joined and the other is where the war ended
so
one was the start and the other the end
it's more linguistically flowing to say start and end together when describing the US's involvement
it's just kremlin being pepega over us as usual
The RAAF Catalinas who mined the ports allowing American submarines to devastate the Japanese merchant fleet deserve more credit in WW2
Quick question, Hit
what was the general australian stance on the cambodia vietnam war
then the destroyer came bac to da fleet, then McCluskey and CO followed it
We protested our way out of it, does that answer the question?
Vietnam and the massive protests surrounding it led to a massive post war decline in military support among the population and almost led to the death of Anzac day as a national holiday (until its revival in the 90s)
not the vietnam war
the war between cambodia and vietnam
Oh
Sorry I thought you meant the 2nd Indochina war
Since that involved Cambodia and Vietnam
Uh look I'd have go do some digging but I doubt you'd find too many people who really gave a fuck
True
Question: Anyone know how many men crewed Prince of Wales? Been scouring the internet for info, yet I can't find that singular piece
1521 as of 1941
Thank you
bears in mind i got this from a 5s wikipedia search
if you find more official literature take that instead

Big news! 👀

Under extended plans, France will join the #AUKUS submarine program 🇫🇷🇦🇺🇬🇧🇺🇸
➡️ In anticipation of cost overruns with the interior design of the crew accommodation and galley spaces, the submarines will be built for-but-not-with (FBNW) torpedo tubes.

In 1984, a deadly new Soviet Nuclear Ballistic Missile Submarine leaves Murmansk and heads out into the North Atlantic. The entire Soviet Navy is looking for her, with orders to sink the brand new vessel. Fearing a rogue Captain is about to launch nuclear weapons against the United States, the President deploys the US Navy into the Atlantic as w...

Operations room is such a good channel really in depth too
This channel is my heavan
I am surprise that there are people actually known about that war still

Is there anyother way to protect planes from AAMs
other than Countermeasures
both IR and active radar
ECM?
anything else?
Find a way to bolt APS system on plane
its April, the first, hence I get to ask my annual stupid question
Why do Asian eat dog?
tf is a aps
they taste yummy
Active proctection system
the PLAAF wont let me bolt a APS on to the H-6K
i dont think we have em
Just copy the Israel Trophy or Russian Arena
Israel it is
so here's a scenario: there are 25 kaijus in the world. They can't be killed by anything short of dozens of nukes to the face, which you can't do if they wander into major city centers. They can, however, be warded off if the world's powers pooled together at least 5 super carriers, 300,000 soldiers. 5000 tanks and 100 gen 5 planes annually to be sacrificed in order to keep them away. Assuming its not on permanent war footing, can the world economy handle military commitments like that?
Nuke will be actually more economical sound
^what he said
what if we discount nukes here?
orbital strike
Can you use third world countries as bait? I assume world would be more willing to nuke those places to avoid global economic collapse
Well, you are sacrificing a Major power military every year, even if you have both China pool of manpower and US industry capacity, it can still be done but people will rather pick nuke than do that
My strategy in Terra Invicta, send the Alien to Africa and nuke them there
ah, I see
Yeah Africa is easy choice
thought even that level of commitment would still be palatable to nuclear destruction, interesting
so glad we have nuclear weapons
Lol, I racking up 21 atrocities against mankind by just killing Alien, they should have give me Nobel peace prize for defending Earth instead
Obama got a nobel peace prize
You would easily get one
Didn't obama bomb yemen
And kill kids

annnnnnnnndddd the CIA is getting sent to our houses
As I said
Obama got one
So you would easily for saving the world
By nuking Kaijus
but what if the nuke didn't work, and it got pissed and decided to head straight into major cities?
Depending on where you nuke but a quick and painfully wound that can be treat right after is better than a slow death by a thousand cut and bleeding profusely.
You're supassing my levels of stupid
Try to use Hypersonic weapons then
I will
If it can't penetrate them nothing will
H-6K gang wya
as I say, April Fools, I get to ask the stupid questions I normally keep to myself
