If you don't tell windows, it will continue to exist as a phantom display when turned off. If anything opens inside that blank space, you can't access it.

Windows won't remove that space when you turn off the display.

yes, it will. Usually with a VPN provider they will give you their own application to run on your computer or mobile. In these apps they won't allow you to choose your own DNS server (pi hole) the application connects to their own. Applications runs on layer 7 of the OSI model so it overrides your own DNS server which is at a lower level.

There are ways to get it to work tho. But you can't use the the client from the VPN provider. As long as they don't let you choose your own DNS server, it won't route through the pi hole

yeah totally understand. Which is why usually you want to use Pi-Hole+Unbound. Unbound is a recursive DNS server that runs together with Pihole. What this means is that you are skipping the middle man and getting your domains resolved from the actual authoritative DNS servers.

So here is a screenshot I took from mine

I went to apple.com, Pihole forwarded it to Unbound. Unbound got the domain resolved from the actual dns servers hosted from apple and then cached it

It's the main reason why late game healers are so unused

What were you trying to do? WDS bridging should only be used in certain setups. If you’re trying to get good speeds from it from an already terrible connection it won’t go well because you’re repeating the same signal. Access Point mode for wireless routers is much better
