i play the pokemon tcg.

they're popular with the kids, and i have one.

i find it a waste to just collect them for no reason other than owning them, so i encourage him to actually play with them.

and they're much, much cheaper than the garbage fire that is mtg. while it's the superior game in terms of depth and mechanics, everything else surrounding it is utter trash.

because mtg is aimed at investors, not players. pokemon is the other way around.

you always get good value for your money.

my favorite thing is the theme format, where you can only play unaltered theme decks. those are 12-15€ a pop. it's fun and affordable.

and you always get a code for online redemption, giving you the same product for the online pokemon tcg.

it's also the only online tcg that lets you trade (next to mgto), afaik.
