Hey, what device are you playing from, and are you playing from a wifi network?
If you're playing from mobile I've heard of this happening due to your phone swapping from data to wifi, causing a malfunction for some devices In that case try to make sure your wifi is stable or make sure your phone is swapping between the two. But if its not that, the most popular solution to it that I've seen is doing a clean install (make sure to link your account!)

So here's my issue, I currently have an iphone 6 and i can NOT get the game to progress past pressing start. Im getting a new phone but I was never able to link my account on my old phone to say a twitter or facebook. Since the game is currently linked to this device, i assume even via backup to a new phone, the game wont recognize my account will it. I really don't want to lose all the progress I've made. With the auto-search, the game will even just continue playing itself even with the loading overlay.

I haven’t seen any cases of this happening before, and its strange it still happens after changing emulators. The only thing it could really be is emulators in general are conflicting in some way with his PC.
Either way, your friend has tried just about everything it seems, so you could push it to #bug-reports if you wanted.

Since it's been a while, after logging into your facebook, make sure to try every server, you could be selecting the wrong one unknowingly
But if none of the servers work and you're sure that you are connecting to the FB account your only option would be to contact support

While making a gem purchase my credit card got refused during payment, as the app store allowed me to choose between cancelling or continuing I choose to continue and added a different card as payment and that one worked, yet when I returned to the game screen the shop displayed 2 error messages and I did not receive any gems, checking the App Store purchase history I can see that purchase is marked as pending. That was a around 3 hours ago. These purchases never take this long and due to the errors I fear they wont get out of pending. How do I proceed in these situations? Am I supposed to just wait or do I have to enter in contact somewhere? Since the purchase is still on pending I have no receipt
