If you go to the Play Store home page, select your account icon in the Search bar, go to "Manage Apps & Device", then click on the Recent App Updates, there is a tab for "Updates Available", you can see everything that is pending including the 1.7 update for AL. Ran into this after the last big patch

You can install it to the ones you have but I already did it months ago and when she is secretary i can download the live2D for only that skin. But only after i did that the button shows in the archives. I don't want to waste more GBs to skins I not have at the moment. I already need to download the voices of the ships I don't have. I liked that feature. That you can download it separatly in the archives. At least I can do it if she is secretary.

I don't know if a similar thing's been posted here since the update went live, but there's something going wrong with the split app and the app-in-app feature on Samsung phones and Azur Lane. Recorded it and changed AL's display to different sizes in the recording which caused varying degrees of screen tearing and looping(?) I also wasn't really able to replicate it that much in the recording but it can cause some serious light flashing and color changes (which made me notice it in the first place).
I don't know if this matters or not with figuring it out, but was playing on a Samsung Note 20 Ultra

Depending on the size it seems to change where it's grabbing the video bit from, also keeping it small enough seems to keep it from happening for now

the screen i use on my phone is 7.1 inches diagonally (it's basically like playing the game on an iPad)
I always have those grey borders on the top and bottom of my screen when in a battle.
I wish they'd allow the game to adapt to your screen size and just expand out to take up the real-estate that's not being used. Wouldnt mind seeing my whole screen in battle be filled with the level/map like it is everywhere else in the game

every time you open/close a menu such that the UI loading in plays for the left/bottom/right elements, it loads in with a bit less than previously. That screenshot is the full screen you see after about a thousand iterations of menuing
Temporarily fixed by restarting the app but it gets very noticeable if you've been actively playing for a few hours.

I still have this issue even after all updates. It happened both on 9-1 hard and 12-4 normal, randomly. I have to close and restart game on Samsung Galaxy Tab A 16gb, SM-T510.

Try to select any of your shipgirls in the docks that don't have their ability maxed out. Click on the desired ability and click "Upgrade". It'll just open Tactical Class for you too, won't it?
As far as I remember, before this client update, clicking on "Upgrade" opened the Tactical Class menu, but with a submenu of the ability that we wanted to put on the upgrade

If this is not a problem for you, try another emulator. For example Mumu (not Memu), they have a global version, and it works more stable. At least for me. With Nox, I and many of my friends have some problems from time to time, not sure what it has to do with.
For example, on Nox and Bluestacks I had a problem with freezing in Azur Lane. And it happened spontaneously.

Yes, the update is really strange, in terms of a lot of bugs. But here's a similar problem, as you pointed out above (during battle game freezes), I had before. I'm not sure, maybe just my processor is not very good on both Nox and Bluestacks and because of that freezing problems were happening. But at least on Mumu I have no such problems. I've been using it for a few years now. But I hope this helps you.

I think the improvement in smoothness has nothing to do with the problems of this update. There were just not enough tests during the work on the update. But I hope that after fixing the bugs found recently, the smoothness of the game will remain the same as it is now.
