Solutions for the new Skins causing the game to freeze

First, if you are using BlueStack, you may need to do some set-up. You have to open Multi-instance Manager, select Fresh Instance, click Android 11 Installed in the version selection, and use Android 11 to open the game after the download is complete.
Better to use Android 11 than Android 13. Because Android 13 is a beta version, so maybe not that stable

Or you can choose an easier way, just use MuMu simulator from the official website to get the latest version. Here is the site: https://www.mumuplayer.com/.
Then download Azur Lane on the emulator's Google Play, the skin issue should be solved.

For LDplayer, that would be a little more complex.
If you are using the latest LD9, you have to set the CPU to 8 cores in the advanced setting. After restarting the simulator, the issue will be solved.

As for LD5, if you are using 64-bit, you may not encounter skin issues.
But for 32-bit, it's quite similar to BlueStack. You also need to open Multi-instance Manager, but this time you have to choose Android 9.0 (64-bit) in the version selection. Then, use Android 9.0 to open the game and the skin issue should be solved as well.

check the pinned messages if you usíng an emulator. If you are on phone it might be too old or too weak . what else you could try is to deactivate the energy saving mode if active or if your phone has a performance mode activate it.

The game has been doing this to me for several months and I'm so frustrated I'm ready to quit. When I'm playing on auto-search, the game will freeze on the victory screen that shows if a ship is dropped. The image of the ship doesn't load in. I have to force close the game and restart it. For LD9, I switched phones again since the last update started to freeze for some reason (Also had character portrait models change to other characters.) I'm now using customize setting: Phone brand: asus/Network model: AI2501 (Note: not a preset on LD5 but I'm testing it on LD9, "ASUS_I001DA" is on LD5 though so you can try that if you don't want what I have, that's a ROG Phone II ZS660KL.) AI2501 is ROG Phone 9 Pro. Not sure if it registers or defaults to the ASUS_I001DA. Both are 120 FPS models, I still have random freezes but not a crazy amount. It might just be something with the event update or a fault of myself playing another game and watching a stream lol cheers.

I think I may have found a different issue with Bluestacks than the solution listed in the pinned comments. I'm actually running AL on an Android PIE (9) instance, not 13, and I am having the issue despite it being 64 bit, having enough RAM and cores. Looks like I need to actually upgrade to 11, rather than downgrade. Although I'm not sure if this will actually fix the issue. I guess I'll find out after I redownload all 64 GB of AL.

been using the model workaround on LD9 (SM-G977N), while it has fixed the new skin issues, there is a very strange bug that happens only on the first ever sortie everyday, the battle simply won't load. The chibi is running at the very left and the loading says 50%, it's like it's not even trying to load. This only happens once, and if I close just the game (not even the emulator) and open it again, everything is fixed and I can auto the world all night long. Not sure how I can collect more info from this but I will try

Oh. It does work. It's just a white screen if you accidenty click without rebinding your account. So upgrading from 9 to 11 does fix the freeze issue.

I also got the character sprites and voicelines shuffled around bug.

In the advanced settings for notifications, go to notification history. Tap and hold on one of Azur Lane's notifications to open a new menu.
For me the vibrate option was toggled off, and after turning it back on my notifications were working again.

The lobby "Inspect" option doesn't work like it usually does. Normally, pressing this button will hide the UI and allow different levels of zoom for a closer look at the skins and animations, while the "Relocate" button allows you to set the character positioning and zoom level within the lobby UI. Both buttons now show the UI instead, and "Inspect" doesn't let you maintain the positioning/zoom desired. It resets upon toggle.

That is just missplacement of the center point of the skin, if you did move it, it's on you.
But if you dint that is indeed a bug they just need to place the skin center a little bit higher.

Im unsure if this will do it, i had a similar problem once, and what i had to do is reset my DNS cache on my PC, i was using an emulator.
This is how you reset your wifi-settings in a phone, this will make you lose the saved wifi including it's passwords, but i hope it fix your problem.

If it's an emulator, use Mumu 12, if it's not check if your phone is 64 bits, if it's 64 bit, dit you download it from a proper place like google play/apple store, if not you may need to find a work around to download it from there.
If you did download from the right sources and is having this, then it's likely a more technical problem related to your phone model or could be related to other apps on it, #tech-support could help in this last step.

unfortunately you answered your own question. you need a 64 bit os, either phone or emulator, to see the new skins going forward. pagers, flip phones, were all brand new at one point. technology moves forward. app publishers are forcing devs to release their apps in 64 bit. its the nature of things.

the grey screen happens to more or all players since the mandatory update. no emu or phone will really change that. if there is an emulator that runs AL 64bit on your pc, then thats good enough for now. mumu and bluestacks are common ones. some like ldplayer. i use nox.

This when booting up the game. Sometimes it's fast to get to the dev and publisher load, and other times it can hang up for 20 or so seconds before continuing.

I started using Mumu on 9 june, a bit later than others, since LDplayer was still working for the skins.
But since then, i had not a single asset bug happen, other than the usual shipgirl (freeze) when moving too fast from shipgirl to shipgirl in the dock.
Not a single time i had a skin not show-up, show partially, or a battle freeze (this was quite common on LD).
Oh this grey screen never happens to me, unless i click to open the game and instantly alt-tab to chrome/other full screen application, if i click to open the game and dont change screens this never happens.

i have a pixel 8 and dont tab when booting up the game. that grey screen hangs for a bit, or loads quickly. same on emu. could be background apps or processes slowing it down or something too.

i had issues with Nox Android 9, but i dont know if it was just a recency bias or now. But Nox Android 12 has been fine besides the standard AL bugging out issues. I havent used mumu, ld, or bs so i cannot comment on them.

1st pic: even though I already bought this weeks 8 roses, they show up in the shop after app restart; this gets fixed if you exit private quarters to the main screen and then reenter without logging out/closing and restarting the game

  2nd pic: buy amount starts at 1 even though it should be 0, since weekly limit was hit; also notice how here the amount is correct for already purchased roses "(Weekly purchase:8/8)"

In all serious, if you using an emulator change it to Mumu, so far 1 month and half using it i had not a single bug happen, other than the usual freeze on dock when swapping too many ships too fast (but this one happens on phones to).
Download Mumu from it's official source, download the game from google play, if you on a phone download it from an official store, dont use apps from non-official sources and try to not use a VPN when downloading/updating your game.

I reported a while ago that the Eye/Examine function of the old and new UI no longer allows them to be moved as they snap back immediately. However, I've noticed that the text boxes on the New UI have almost no background and the dialogue is often difficult to see as it blends into the artwork.

Being smaller is another problem I have had with the New UI since it released but it still has yet to be addressed after all this time.. it's why I keep sticking to the Old UI...

Ideally there needs to be a better way of showing their dialogue without the poorly sized textboxes of the Old UI. At least the New UI they're not breaking through the top or bottom like they used to but they're so hard to read on my phone.

I really wanted to post this in Feedback, cause it feels like a design choice rather than a bug, but everything else about it feels buggy. (Not being able to move them, the textbox sizing, etc)

Huh, while going through my gear depot, I noticed that one of my collab gear items is missing. Specicically the LOVE-Ru Bubbly-Boily Cheff (was basically an enhanced repair kit that was gold, so could +13). We got it from the puzzle line-connecting minigame during the event. nope, its still there under the correct name. here are its stat type. go into your depot and set the filters for it. collab, hp, and luck. also make sure the "equipped" setting is on

On the gathering stages (TS) Isla von Duerer cannot drop. On the origina TH missions Klaudia Valentz was also a drop. Is this intended... there is likely no reason ever to run T5 and from YSP the drop is 1 chance per day

Not sure if it's only with me, but on the Atelier tutorial for Ryza rerun, on the core explaining tutorial you cant click to leave it, there's a clicking icon, yet waiting/clicking on it or clicking anywhere on the screen does nothing.
Restarting the game was necessary, and after that the auto tutorial dint run again, and when clicking on it dont break it, so it's something with the automated tutorial.
