Well I just don't have enough XP boots to warrant spamming limit caps with the cogs though myself
I've been pretty much running 12-4 and 11-1 since the oil cap and the amount of exp you get is insane compared to how badly the cog gains lag behind
if you grind that much that you outpace its income...then just use same ships?but putting cog chips everywhere isnt a solution
To outpace its income isn't exactly a feat
Either the rates need severe buff (especially the monthly log-in) or the amount needed for awakening should be reduced. Latter would hurt those who have been spending cogs though.
Currently it takes like a month to get chips needed for just 6 SR 100-120. Thanks to oil cap (and XP reduction for 100-120) you can do that leveling process in much, much less time. And you sort of want to have a stockpile of cogs anyway since URs eat even more cogs and new ships in general.
if the solution is that you shouldn't even try and level new ships then I'd dare say there's something wrong with the design

Agree that some of these outfits look really out of place. Anything with a horse, in all honesty, feels so far out of left field for a game about girls battling at sea. This includes that outfit of Cheshire's from a little while back. Really glad Unicorn hasn't unexpected had a life-size horse/unicorn as part of her outfits yet. 
I think the point of all the changes is that u can use whatever you ships you like without feeling guilty of "wasting" xp
Because, as everyone has already said, getting xp is so easy now that it's not hard to just level all the ships to 120 provided u have the cogs.
Therefore you can just chill with whoever you like, use them and when a new ship comes out you want to use you can power level them easily

Before oilcap, no one was complaining about cog chip income or really the rate of getting 120s right
yes. this. this is the issue. even playing normally will make you run out of coggies unless you deliberately play inefficiently (using maxed 125 ships to farm w12, etc).
Why does the change in making it easier to get 120s mean the rate of obtaining them has to change as well?
if you're fielding 6 levelling ships to burn your oil in any world with oil cap you will eventually run out of coggies, it's inevitable.
Considering they also lowered the xp requirement as well
honestly? id be fine with them reversing the exp requirement, it would fix the issue in a way lol

i dont mind grinding more, in fact i'd like longer to get to know the ship and affection grind before they max out
Exactly, it's a self imposed player problem.
remove xp books and revert xp changes 
then they should make it feel less bad to field a maxed out ship. gaining 0 exp feels unsatisfying (which is why ive previously suggested to either uncap the exp a ship can hold, just to flex (since 3m insta caps them +5 levels anyway), or uncap affection cap so you can flex how much you use a ship in campaign)
I didn't know it was a self imposed player problem that the devs hard limit me on how much leveling I can do in a month, let alone having to think of who to uncap and not instead of just letting me uncap whoever I want when I can 
Go with Polar's suggestion and remove them, you're already gated at 70-100 with bulins, it was just another thing on their addiction of gating which brought problems too
i dont like that a ship stops gaining exp or affection eventually tbh. at least exp. it makes no functional difference if you cap them at 3m vs uncap, apart from making it feel better to use the ships when grinding.
You save time which is the most valuable thing you have.
like, lvl120 to 125 took 1.3m exp, not even half of the 3m cap
it would functionally change absolutely nothing, except that it makes human psychology feel better bc they still see a number going up.
plus you can flex your 100 million exp waifu
or at least add individual battle counts for each ship
literally anything so fielding one at 125 3m doesnt feel wasteful
I wouldn't mind if it kept saying +amount xp despite being capped
And some people like to 3 mil cap multiple ships
total dmg dealt by this ship across all battles would also be a cool stat to track.
the easiest one to implement is probably number of times the ship has battled, tho

how is having better time grinding an issue?you arent supposed to speedrun through the game like you can now in the first place

the game doesnt have any support or systems for you to raise more then one fleet per month perdiod,more cogs wont solve anything,would just move on to the next roadblock that could be anything of limiting factors
if cog resource can keep up with the exp ofcourse it will fix the problem, what ur on about 
if you want to level more ships,then it would require changing much more then that
and you dont need to "speedrun" to have this problem, the scale is just bad and playing normally will cause the problem
i dont think you would raise more then one fleet per month with normal play,even more,playing normally ppl usually just slap their usual ships and dont care

not sure if we're playing the same game but grinding w11/12 only gonna take you a week or two to get one fleet to 120 using self regen/daily oil.

you wont ever need that many raised ships,as simple as that
in most cases you already have much more then 4 stable fleets to perform every role with minor tweaks on gear or 1-2 switches for ships,nothing else
giving you the ability to level every single ship in your dock to 120 will reveal issues that you cant raise all of them to be usable,and you dont have any way of using them bcs we still use just 2 fleets with having just 6 fleet slots
raising all ships is a just a goal,not a requirement
game needs to have an infrastructure supporting that mass of ships rather then just blindly uncap stuff

which is why my preferred solution, if not more coggies, is to make playing inefficiently more appealing. ie, with permanent battle statistics for each shipgirl, or uncapped exp (over 3m) or uncapped affection if oathed.
who are you to tell people to stop grinding their tech stat 
ie, you still progress something, even if it's just a flex stat, even at 125+3m
that way it feels better to run max ship so you run like 3 maxed ship 3 levelling ship and thus coggies stop being an issue
at least for me it's a good compromise, i can feel good about using my maxed ships, stop having cog issues, and stop worrying about being inefficient, all in one go.
which make it more difficult with coggies issue cus most of those tech stat fodder are garbo, but hey it's a permanent buff to your account

I sort of like all the "stat track" ideas, but (in my own experience) it has nothing to do about being inefficient. It's about "I want to level ships/get fleet tech but cog chips severely hinders me from doing it" and these stat tracks wont do anything to solve that specific issue, other than being neat fun info.
I simply want to be able to 120 ships without being so heavily gated, and having to think about who to 120 and who to not and when to save for a possible UR is more annoying than it has to be. It's a gacha game mechanic that's not realistically needed considering that we are gated to how much we are allowed to play by oil anyway, hence why I would rather them just removing chips and arrays from the game completely instead (as the devs will most likely continue to increase level cap) and let me level break by having my time invested (oil) and with coins, even if it means an increased amount of coin to do so

also Z-flag because my Mikasa is automatically worse than others who have Z-flag 
yeah personally for me it would at least help the issue, as then i stop obsessing over efficiency. but for ppl who are in it solely for fleet tech it wont help much, so ideally we get both 
also since fleet tech is more of a late game goal, perhaps one way to help it is to make 1 more level of tactical daily for lvl 110 or 115 commanders, that gives more cogs and arrays

there you named the main issue,and at least we had moves to lose less over being inefficient,which helps
that way it still needs to be "earned" so to speak and is a simple way to add more.

If someone grinds like mad "cause they can" and it winds up screwing them over, that's not the devs' fault. I seem to recall a couple of people here saying "play at your own pace" but apparently rushing to get all ships to 125 is the pace they seem to want, which I'm almost positive is not the actual majority of players. 
i think chips as a resource are fine bc gachas are all about prioritizing and managing resources long term, but it should be more flexible and not as punishing as it is right now. would that be acceptable to you?

the issue is that just spending your oil normally is enough to outpace chip gain unless you deliberately make yourself inefficient by including a couple maxed ships along for the ride.
I play normally and haven't hit it. I'm pretty sure lots of people have had the same experience. The ones who seem to be complaining the most about cogs also seem to be the ones that are wanting EXP books gone and all the changes reverted.

for me, im running out of chips and im not even levelling that many ships, i just never had the chance to build up a cog stockpile.
I think there are other areas for that, Coins, Oil, Gear, PR, Cats and what else have you. Leveling ships is something I don't see as something that should be a "who to prioritize" but rather as something "I want to level this ship" and be able to do it with no real concern

I've taken max ships along for the ride since I first got them to max level. There's nothing wrong with that, it's practically expected.
i can think of many ppl with cog issues who are fully supportive of oil cap and all current changes, theyre just not generally the ones in here bc they know it's futile

you can,as long as you dont just randomly LB ships across the doc,again,you can 100-120 6 SR ships per month freely,why is that such of a big issue

Nobody told you to get as many ships as possible to max level and stats as quickly as you could.

my suggestions are
- show ships stats like battles fought in, total dmg dealt (cumulative) etc
- uncap the 3m cap since it's pointless anyway (120 to 125 only takes 1.3m or so). Let exp accumulate indefinitely, or give it an exceedingly high cap like 2 billion
- uncap affection for oathed ships, although the stat bonus still maxes at 200.

yes,you get about 7k from dailies alone
I wonder where the complains were when all we had were level 120 ships, and folks were maxing them out frequently?

scale coggies reward to keep up with exp 
could give a coggie multiplier (multiplies all sources of cogs) based on # of ships at lvl120
thus making it easier over time
idk a good value for it but maybe +3% per lvl120 ship?

also my suggestion earlier of a 3rd lvl of tactical daily for cmd 110 or 115, which would give say...100 coggies per run compared to the 70 of the lvl100 one
and 5 arrays instead of 3.
make tactical daily lvl up to 160 with 5 lvl increment 
or 165 since that the current sofcap
or create a new building (call it a lab/research department w/e) generating coggies. like 10 levels, comm 100 needed for the last stage. and make it give like 20 cogs per hour when at lvl 10. it's nice enough to help a bit, but not too extreme to make cogs too abundant
there's like maybe 5 people across all servers who're lvl160+
i think up to lvl120 or lvl130 is good enough for now.
just follow the current softcap is fine, give people motivation to lvl their commander lvl
cus as for now going lvl 100+ bring not much diff except slight exp dorm bonus and bigger resource cap

Has it been suggested before to increase the conversion rate in the Lecture Hall? It's pretty alright I guess for 53 books a day (I'm at max Lectrue Hall level) but having so much overflowing exp from using a lot of lvl 100s now (Especially with oil cap) is kinda ehh. Feels wasted, and the exp books are cap anyway so commanders will burn them for other ships.
This will just fasten the exp book acquisition and have not excess exp be wasted from doing later contents of the game.
I know this'll will basically allow commanders to raise more girls faster and meaning, and unavoidingly, burn more cogs so another issue that's already been talk about so no point in repeating it.
then they need to also remove the hardcap of 3k exp books

why does anything have cap? to save server space maybe or just to force players to not hoard excessively.

Here's an example I found. In pineconne, there's a Master coin system for players that cap out on either player level iirc. Why not give players a system like that where they get X coins after Y exp to use on Z shop
tho anyway simplest way is to display # of battles that ship has participated in
having like 100 of 120 of said faction is flexable wdym

When you cap out a bote 120/125, there's essentially 0 reason to use them. This problem used to be slow to get to that point before the Lecture Hall rework. Now, it's a fucking joke and essentially a rampant problem.
because the exp packs cap out + there are boats you're obviously not going to use and rather exp pack.

doesnt have to be a shop, any incentive to use maxed ships more often would be welcome. my suggestion to provide individual ship statistics (like battles fought) by itself would help already.
there's also the suggestion of uncapping stored exp which ppl probably will downvote, as is the suggestion of uncapping oathed ships affection which apparently a ton of people hate

This is the "improve PvP MECHANICS by improving merrit shop" discussion all over again, it doesn't adress anything at all, it's just doing on the side unrelated.
They should add a RESEARCH HOT TIME
I.E an event where you can either do two researches at once, or cut down the research times in half
Considering all the clutter in already, I don't think that's much of a problem 
I'm just joking that clearly whether there is clutter or not does not seemingly matter when designing (lower rarity boxes) and I think the shops are at this point very cluttered to begin with. Like Shiranui's shop already offers stuff like tech boxes for ridiculous prices but I wonder if anyone has even ever bought those.

Its very easy to sit on a huge pile of gold when there is nothing of value to spend it on. 3-4k oil per day on 12-4 + no cog chips will do that to you

if youre going for fleet power /enhancing random gears yeah, sure
it's a good method to stay busy/motivated when you have everything
maybe if they give fleet power a stat bonus like faction tech (i.e 1 fleet tech lvl /5000pts, or scaled)then people will have something to work on with gears.
kinda p2w but it's a single player game at the end of the day so who cares.
that wouldn't work as fleet power is a massively screwed metric. one one hand good gear doesn't equal the highest fleet power and fleet power is influenced too much by a few stats. and the overall fleet power can be cheesed way too much by whales, e.g., having the dock space for every ship in each lb state and equipping gear that gives a higher power stat. as fleet power works in a funky way and calculates differently LB dupes as different ships, inflating fleet power over people with a regular dock. that explains the huge discrepancy of the top people in the leaderboards (>25k and ~20k for the top handful of people) followed with a steep dive down towards 15k and less
yeah i know, but at least it's something to work on
fair enough, while I do enjoy raising my fleet power the natural way it's still kind of a shitty useless metric in the end
and giving rewards/boni for high fleet power would just enable even more people to use crappy gear
i mean people been complaining in the past how fleet power is doing nothing and practically a useless numbers, just throw some bonus stat in there so it's worth working on

They really didnt touch profiency at all (including doubling it on sunday for no reason anymore now)
the sunday proficiency doubling is still a nice thing tho. You can get like 30k proficiency in 1 13-4 run
if they redid how fleet power is calculated i would be happy to see it give minor stat bonus

What's the point of having Low Resolve state that your efficiency drops by 60% if the game won't let you continue to use that team to fight? May as well just say "fleet's resolve is too low, they're refusing to battle" instead.

if you did a lot of pure cube researches, then you would have had a 0% chance to get gear/tenrai prints from those. Also only doing face researches means there is only a very low rate of getting gear/tenrai prints. You could maybe do more Q researches to get more gear/tenrai prints since personally, I have not finished haku or aegir but I'm at 70/50 tenrai prints.
because I've taken quite a lot of 1-4 hr Q researches over 1hr cubes
the drop rate for UR gear in PR is quite low but the recent Q research buff with PR4 has helped massively, but that's only if you actually do those researches ^^
Personally got the PR4 Tenrai in 5-6 months vs 13 months for a drake gun if that means anything to you and I've been playing the same amount pretty much.
maybe gear should drop from H research as well tbh
or, hear me out, research shouldnt be the only way of getting these prints!

Not sure, but you can adjust the order at any time in formations. The only bad thing is that it seems to be buggy with subs in that it'll use the initial order on spawning regardless what you set it in formations. Haven't really checked if they fixed that since reporting it though.
Formation is before the battle starts? I kinda want an option to adjust my ships formation before I actually leave the port's redployment. Saves a few clicks especially when people suddenly decided to reconsider their comp. Do tell me if you're referring to a different formation thing 
just play at your own pace, it's permanent anyway

Where the hell is Chen Hai's rigging? This doesn't even look like a default ship, it looks more like an outfit that gets released alongside her. Honestly, she doesn't even really look like a Chinese character, the outfit looks more like an evening gown than anything specific. 
Originally she is most likely based on her irl version of being a seaplane carrier of sorts. Granted she would be considered something like Kashino but as a backliner, if you go by irl stats

Well they made specialised core much easier to obtain compared to previously. Used to be barely anyone could get to 3/4k specialised core per month
They may need to rase the core cap to 5k now because people complaining about wasting them near the end of the month
Income was already buffed so basically anyone who played now had a guaranteed specialised bulin every month
It's not really wasted if u dint really use the currency for much either right
Is the current UR bulin income not enough? We get 1 for free every 2 months from the cruise pass and 1 every UR event in addition to 1 we can earn monthly. This will add up to 22 bulins in 1 year and there are 4 new URs
It's kinda the same with exp issue 
If people need to raise 5 URs in 1 year including shinano this year, this leaves an excess or 2 bulins.

You could say capping it monthly encourages players to play every month and that rewards regular players who also manage to build the new URs

Yeah they did buff the income a lot. Similar to coin and oilcap treatment levels of buffing
Albeit the terrible income was only at the very start and was soon changed because it was that bad
And by monster grinders you mean just regular play with OPSI I am at 4000 10 days into the month
Also it is interesting to read "UR are too hard to raise!" after the constant "DR is trash, since you can just pull a better UR and instantly get it better." Even if it somehow its 2 months you need to wait, thats still a fraction of DR.

URs don't need you to invest weeks unlocking them and then spend months hoping for blueprints, which I appreicate.

I mean, I got lucky and pulled her twice, but even then I had so many tokens from hitting the cap every month
Even a LB0 UR helps newbies in ways we never had
and unlike everything else, you can get URs to 100 without needing to LB them
(there's also a free bulin at the end of the current Cruise, so there's that)
from a long-term perspective, the cap is ok as is, I'd say
yeah, it's probably annoying as a new player, but you'll have pretty much the same problem with Merit and Medals for the other bulins

I'd honestly love for seaplanes (Recons) to have more use since right now we have only 5 ships that use them, 4 being retrofits.
Even if you could equip them to crusier's as an aux for more asw/air power even if they couldn't airstrike.
2-3 days worth of grind in an entire month is more than doable with a life... not like I grinded for the entire day to begin with

retiring is ... tiring. so many clicks to do something so simple. and why don't we have a "retire all ships meeting your selected criteria"? I have seen people in videos be on a retiring spree for minutes after a grind. It's one of these ancient features that need a overhaul
"retire all" button and automatically scrapping gray and (maybe, with a toggle) blue gear
give us a tiny list, like the clear rewards list with the "retire all" button, in case you don't want it to be literally one click.
That's almost like saying ships shouldn't have a selection cap when you want to use grey ships for upgrades there
Remove Cooldown by resetting talents by Meowfficiers because for receiving the best possible cat you need something around 100 resets or even more if you are not too lucky. And this is 3+ months in the best case, even if you have 600K. So I think it will be good if you could reset talents of your Meowfficiers without waiting tons of time for this.
Or at least add push notifications for ending of Cooldown of resetting talents
Since a few patches ago the talent resets are refreshed with the daily reset.
I'll agree that the existence of this cooldown makes rolling talents annoying.

Also, regarding retiring, many people would never retire Commons cause they're all being used for enhancement.
Similarly, certain blue gears are worth keeping around such as Hydraulic Steering.

I think Queen Elizabeth should get a retrofit. Yes, I agree her skill is good, but she is extremely lacking compared to all of the other faction leaders. Compared to ones like Nagato, Bismark, and much more so compared to Richelieu, saying her stats are a let down is an understatement. Even if a retrofit only gave her a new barrage skill, or simply added a self buff of Critical chance/modifier to her pre-existing skill "Queen's Orders", the stat buff alone from a retrofit would make her more viable in later-game fleets like the other faction leaders.

No, I would definitely agree with that... I never used auto-retire cause it wasn't optimised for retrofits (and suggested they added an option to keep an extra ship aside for that), and often after constructing ships that rarely drop need to visit the dockyard to see if they're MLB already before I can scrap them (or not) so an update to more easily tell that would be welcome.
Seeing they did list the PR3 Prototype I assume we get it all the notes are just lacking, it doesn't really make much sense we get it only partially... we'll see soon enough I suppose, I would be very surprised if we don't.

maybe makes some monthly guild boss with unlimited hp(seperated with normal guildboss) and once a month the total damages were calculated to the scoreboard, and give some common rewards to the contributed guild like purple/gold plates(?), gearlab resource(?), and some coin(?).. wont ask more for the reward cuz dev alrd generous with it.. but i just want some fights

Minigame is cool but there needs to be some sort of air attack next time because you either don't jump over obstacle and lose health or you land on enemy and lose health, no winning
Agree on both the minigame lack of air-move, and that Retry should take us right back into the fight. However, I'd add that on the progress screen when Retry or OK are available, show us how many turns we have left out of the 15, perhaps.

I don't even pay attention to the rewards most of the time, I largely do them for the META coordinates and as an excuse to go back to a location. Of course, this wouldn't be an issue if we could combine lower-ranked materials into higher-grade ones. 
Seems to not be the case, I had noticed same missions day after day until I cleared most of them and then it started giving new missions
I don't understand though. In Joint Battle, the percentage was at 58.61% the last time I checked, but now it is dropped to 42.24%.

Okay. An idea to some how step on floating loafs of bread again! Except those loafs of bread has taken human form and now has this funny sounding "hidden" buff unless their detection gauge is full. Well I'd like to introduce spotted planes! These planes have about the same HP as all others and are usually in squadrons of- oh wait 1 plane isn't exactly a squadron now is it? But yes these planes fly alone and they serve one purpose; to spot! No guns no torps no bombs, just go over there and get a good look at them plane infested lovers as a message that is delivered by a loud boom "you are about to get blasted by big guns." These planes are launched every 30-55 seconds and 25 second after your vanguard fleet has sunk

Can you please fix it so that Missiles take Aux gold plates instead of gun plates? As it has been indicated before, on CN and JP they use Aux instead. Interesting bug, but for consistency, it should be fixed. Thank you.

as for now dont see where id use them over bb or cv

they also get +15% over other bbs due to their hidden mode, which is extremely forgiving, too

few things to note about those kinds of events that make use of our fleets with sub-standard selection
- as was said multiple times remove or replace "advice" button with a standart fleet selector,preferably everywhere(and i mean OTHER events with same mechanic and hardmode)
2)add reposition button as it becomes a bit of a chore for reason below,since we already have this feature as a thing shouldnt be a problem?
3)if you specifically try to replace FIRST(or second) ship in the vanguard or backline, your selected ship will get thrown in the LAST spot and other ships move one node left,so if you want to replace someone you need to fully clear it,thankfully there is a button for it but still fix this mess
those are not critical but "nice to have improvements"
I only ever find the advice button useful on the sub fleet as it will pick the only 3 subs with equipment for me instantly, but yes a fleet selector would achieve the same thing and be useful everywhere else
not happy with how the DDGs were implemented, this main fleet <> vanguard conversion thing is just another unnecessary step to bother the player with more menus, why not have the ships be assignable to either fleet like kashino and just have them perform differently depending on which fleet they are in?
