Has anyone been having this occur?
Last couple of times I did the blue G-415 PR-IV researches all I get are equipment blueprints, aren't you supposed to get at least one guaranteed ship blueprint?
G doesnt guarantee ship bps afaik. only D and H do

that, and I've had damn good luck, been playing over a year and this is the first time this has happened
ive had multiple 1.5hr Gs with no ship bp

maybe with UR's being pumped out it's time to make research a little less rng heavy
I think that one ship should be able to be focused on (kinda like the mini events we get now for catch up bps) to give the guaranteed bp for the ship you choose

Been asking to be able to just focus on a ship for a long time. Would appreciate that if they made it possible.
so, is manjuu ever gonna fix the whole "Ulrich von hutten losing 95% of her damage when off flag and out of ammo" thing or is that just intended. the fix is simple in concept, make the 50% out of ammo damage debuff be calculated based on the ACTUAL damage of the ship, after the 45% damage nerf from the skill happens so she only loses 50% of her REMAINING damage vs losing another 50% of her total damage adding up to 95% damage lost
cause as it is now, she wouldn't suddenly become overpowered if they changed this, she'd just make more sense
i'm surprised more people aren't complaining more about this, it seems like a pretty big issue
given she is otherwise very very good in the mob fleet off-flag role, but when used like that in high level content where it takes more than 5 battles to spawn the boss, she suddenly loses all of her shelling damage at battle six and onwards, just when she'd need it most
it's how the dmg calculator has worked since launch, i dont think theyll change it now. prolly the devs intended this
if so then it's really, really, really dumb
it goes against the point of her kit
she's supposed to be an off flag bb for a mob fleet
i mean she works fine flag or not, boss or mob,
she's very flexible, only downside is she cant off flag on 0 ammo
which is something literally every other BB in the game can do.....
what does the game gain from having it work this way
hopefully once more people get her, more people will complain about it and manjuu will either fix it or tell us why they won't
Sounds to me like she's more useful as an Operation Siren ship, which doesn't use ammo to begin with.
you don't need a mobbing UR in opsi, mobbing in OpSi is extremely easy, the only place in opsi where someone as powerful as UvH would be necessary is a bossfight, which is something UvH is not designed for
uvh is plenty good in boss wdym

sounds like she works well in campaign maps with ammo nodes like W14-4. The proximity barrage also helps with suicide ships
but she is BETTER at mob with her consistent damage profile and buffs to HE

u do realize oil cap is only applied on clearing mode right? Fleetbuilding while keeping oil costs low is still a valid thing for anyone who hasn't gotten to those stages. The intentions of oil cap were to make grinding more accessible, it has nothing to do with making fleetbuilding easier

Once you make a fleet that's optimized for low cost, it gets dull too. There's no way to make a game like AL not get boring for everyone sooner or later.

Removing the oil cap would only make it so that he has to spend more oil doing the same exact things and not actually progress more.

I was skimming through gear lab, and I realize that some changes could be made to the Type 3 Shell Twin 410 as it is a big noob trap as of now.
First the icon should be changed. Right now it's portrayed as a gold version of the regular Twin 410 which it is clearly not.
And secondly, the cost in gear lab materials is horrendous for such a bad gun, costing 21 electronics materials that are pretty valuable considering most of the best gear in gear lab requires it.
So I'd suggest some changes to spare the life of beginner shikikans who don't know better.

Swap the crafting tree branch of the Twin 410 and the Type 3, because right now it looks like the Type 3 is the logical continuation of the Purple Twin 410, even though in actuality it's the Twin 410 Kai, so their positions should be swapped.
Or change the materials requirements.
honestly i was really looking forward to the "future geal lab update" that everyone always praised was coming and it was going to be the greatest update to the game since opsi was added
but then the future gear lab update added literally nothing of value and STILL NO RAINBOW AA STILL NO RAINBOW MAIN GUN

Yeah, I don't think there's something interesting left in gear lab, that I didn't craft yet. Well, some UR gear can be crafted many times, but I would like to see even some nice golden gear, coz UR wants too much golden plates.
We shouldn't expect people to join a Discord or take part in community. Besides what good would that do to them ? The game barely notifies the player that the Gold Twin 410 is a totally different gun. As I said, same icon, same tree branch, so people would obviously think of it as the natural progression of the Purple Twin 410.
Even if they joined this Discord, that wouldn't change anything, unless upon joining the server you were met with a big warning "DON'T CRAFT GOLD TWIN 410" because otherwise why would they have a doubt about it.
Even worse, people actually encourage players to craft it for trolling purposes more often than not. So that really wouldn't help

New players especially suffer from getting better weapons, upgrade parts so it might help them a little? As long as we stick to readily available items and not things like cubes, then I'd assume people would just to a Discord like this one if they don't have any friends to trade with and people here would obviously not charge anything for it.
Although I think it's a complicated and risky idea for not much purpose anyway. If people want to progress, then they just have to grind. Not like AL is super grindy to begin with. It's more time-gated, which is worse in a way, I'll admit.

u have 4 options, it refreshes upon each exercise done, and you get 5 free refreshes a day. idk the issue

If so, this was really poorly thought out. It's fine if making a choice leaves one shop at level 4 while the other gets to be level 5, but not cool on locking out an event cutscene.
Unless we're gonna somehow get a mission for a building material tomorrow? I'm already at 7/7 on the event tab and have both furnitures, and don't see a way to get that last memory to unlock without waiting 2 years for a rerun and miraculously remembering which one I didn't pick the first time.

I'd like to suggest making the guild notifications, were we could write the news for our guildmates, plus the text field for various additional info like discord server link and restrictions (like "AFK for month = kick"). And the guildmates should get the notification about the fact, that these fields were changed, to attract their attention.
Also, we need the possibility to hide the notices, that overlaps part of the guild chat.
There used to be a notice board in the old guild menu you could fit several lines of text into. I don't know why they changed it into just a single line.
And you can only view it in the guild chat when there's a ton of free space in the lobby.

oil cap was one of, if not the best addition to the game. I can finally use the girls I like without going into oil bankruptcy. Can't you just deactivate clearing mode and oil cap with it? People who don't like it, can just disable clear mode, no? Anyway, as said, oil cap is great. I can use the girls I like, finally! It just wasn't viable or advised at all before the cap.
and in hindsight now with the cap, pre-cap was a bit of a drag, not gonna lie. all I did was look at the oil cost. doesn't matter whether or not I liked the girls. just had to be cheap. really not enjoyable now when I look back
Add the possibility to set threat back to lethal, because sometimes you want to test fleets on 14-4, but this makes no sense because you have safe and your fleets could not work on lethal. So I would say It is a good addition if we could change threat as we want after we got safe

The mere fact that the oil cap is optional and can be toggled more or less invalidates any reason to remove it entirely. If you want the challenge, it's there, nobody is forcing you to use it. Allow the rest of us who enjoy playing the game at our own pace (as some love to say) while others enjoy their self-imposed challenges.

Hooo, boy. additional rewards such as plates and that nice piece of gold after killing boss is BOUND to clearing mode as well as oil caps.
lets go back in time a bit. before even auto mode. thing is, back then ANY node would give you SAME amount of gold no matter WHAT. you clear node in 2-1 or 12-4, about same gold. but why people recommended to farm 7-2? cause time. you clear 3 nods and have a chance to loot x2 or x3 gold of boss fleet, while for same amount of clicks and time in chapter 2 or 3 you get less. yes, more consistently, but praise RNG gods.
but then auto mode happens. and guess what, now you need way less clicks to farm chapter 2 or 3, and you also dont need to control it. and to top it off you also get a LOT more commissions out of it. and it was even more INSANE for chinese server, cause you dont need to LB a ship for lvl 100 + 3m exp over it.
and because that took time for devs to realise what have happened, players already got a taste for this. having gold, with cheap oil, not much spend time controlling fleets and exp on top of it. thats why devs couldnt simply nerf chapter 2 or 3. solution - oil caps.
But running 1:1 fleets works only for really strong ships, if both earn exp. most of my friend was running 2:2 fleets in 12-4, with 7-2 farm from time to time for gold if needed. cause again - time. and oil caps is REALLY good, there is almost no benefits to go 1:1.
thats why just remove oil as a system, why newbie should suffer without oil caps. in PvE waifu game.
i think devs just realized if they wanna release 4 URs a year theyd need to mitigate their oil cost somehow.

I play another gacha game that is so impossibly slow to make progress on, I've been at a dead stop for months now cause they don't have it set up like Azur Lane where we get cubes daily and such. It's a very different, and very boring experience. Whenever I play AL, even if I don't accomplish much, at least I'm getting stuff like ship drops to fuel my enhancements or coins I can spend towards upgrading gear or limit breaking someone. Probably gonna drop Empires & Puzzles before long, it's just not fun.
Their stamina system is flags, but you use multiple flags at a time and they only come back 1 at a time per 12 minutes, so you're super limited to how much you can play in a day. Unlike AL, even before the oil cap, where you could just do efficient teams. I'm so very thankful for AL's quality of life improvements.
When other people are assisting with your META fight, can you make it so the bar shows "In progress" instead of trying to guess at a number of damage when the fight isn't over? Not a big deal but it'd be a nice QoL

Or just a "Battle in progress" UI notification next to their dmg? Though after a few supports, I think it's pretty obvious the battle is in progress since it always shows the base support dmg at the start.

Well yea, medals are sorta supposed to be a pity system.
They donโt actually work out that way in practice because the pool of ships on the list is so small - and while itโs sort of silly to imagine the pools being filled with every ship in the roster I think we could and should add any that are older than 2 years.
Although, given the devs have indicated weโre getting a new gacha currency for reruns (and perma?) maybe itโs been recognized that weโre about due for a system rework?
Wishlist idea: perma wishing well with a 100 pull pity sorta like the URs. 50 for elite. 25 for rare. 10 for common.

Just like UR pity the pull counter does not reset on acquiring the unit but just like the wishing well your pity pick cannot be changed once set until you actually get the pity.
Include ships that have been in the permanent pool for at least 1 year. List updates every anniversary.
This does not meaningfully inhibit the monetization potential for pull currency, because you still have to pull the pity to pick a new one. So if you want more than one ship you have even more pulls between you and the second guarantee, so itโs actually even worse than if you wanted one.
I know something similar comes up a lot but I think it could be worked this way.
I, like many, derive humor out of othersโ misfortune, so thereโs also the fact itโd be really funny if someone pulled the ship they wanted right after selecting their preference and realized they had to do 199 pulls to do another.

Better in-game arts period. They're so inconsistent right now, with some that are awfully pixelated, blurry, low-resolution, and some that are very good quality, fairly high-definition. Same goes for chibis.
At least an option to get HD arts and chibis sprites, as to not force people with slow connection or low space to download them.
And in the case of Littorio here, there's a case of art quality, but the current one also seems more like an enhancement of the one on the right.

Unless you're suggesting an optional download for HD pictures? Because AL is already quite a big game so increasing the resolution of images further would cause the game to take up even more storage space
and it could be hard because maybe some of the older artworks are already at their highest res so and we all know how upscaling technology isn't 100% satisfactory yet either making it expensive to potentionally redraw.
I'm playing on emulator, but that's not the issue. As I said some arts are perfectly fine, and some others are terribly lacking.
And yes as I said, an optional download for HD arts and sprites, that way people that don't care or can't afford to care because of connection/space issues don't have to be impacted by it.
As for your last point, they actually do update artworks already, although at a very slow pace. They do it mainly for the ships for which they add new facial expressions ( Cleveland, Helena, Yorktown, Akagi... )

A lot of IB ships are event locked so for newer players, it is a very difficult faction for them to unlock IB PR ships. For older players such as you and me, that isn't a problem since we were around for those events. Same could be said about every single faction considering they run up to 2700 technology points, which definitely requires a good amount of event ships or tons of 120s - including common ships. It's just one of those "forgotten" systems, since minor factions have granted points but god knows when they're (if ever) going to be useful.
point was it is especially difficult for IB. It's just not as difficult for the other nations because they have a lot of ships that are permanent and MLB commons is really easy for fleet tech pts
my HMS is sitting at 2150 points with IB sitting at 2.5k Funnily enough, no HMS events missed but one IB event missed (Heinrich's).
Either way, it's just arbitrarily sitting at level 4 limit and it would not hurt anyone to have the levels go higher.
I'm actually missing just 2x Little ships, Musketeer, Fiji and Penelope so there's no excuse, really.
you probably just haven't developed your HMS ships as much as your KMS ones then
I have the notables ones at 120 so it's not even really that. KMS just sits arbitrarily at a lower tech level and there's no sense keeping it so low since the only thing that actually matters is enough points to develop PR ships which is considerably lower than what you can reach in each tree
probably just the number of permanent IB ships. But yeah fleet tech hasn't really been looked at apart from adding retroactive rewards to it for a while

A lot of IB ships are event locked so for newer players, it is a very difficult faction for them to unlock IB PR ships.
That was true before, not so much anymore. 3/4 of the IB ships are permanent now. Only 13 are event-limited ( counting the ones of Tower of Transcendence ) for 56 ships.
IronBlood is the faction I personally focus the least and I still have 3800 tech points despite the max being 1800.
Every faction could use new fleet tech levels as of now. This is a system that is almost 3 years old now, we got many new ships since then.
Respectfully? I feel the โIronblood ships are hard to getโ notion is at best a year outdated. At worst it ignores a number of offmeta ships.
When I joined a year or so ago, I remember it was quite difficult to get so much as a single backline.
Things have changed a good bit since then - speaking relatively.
Bismarck sisters in permapool, not one but two different war archives both drop the ugly sisters and the entire Narvik DD set, if youโre a lucklet you can get Scharnhorst with core data, Roon can be put to dev30 using only coins and patience when you get at least 10 ships, and Tirpitz is in the invite pool now.
Even if itโs true that a lot of new ships have joined the roster and at least four IB ships are still locked in mini-events, at least half the roster is now permanent and I daresay at least 1/4th is even accessible.
I think there are maybe 8 ships in the entire lineup you canโt get permanently one way or another. Their situation is no longer that much worse than even IJN - who, with at least 24 ships spread across at least 4 events that arenโt in archives, are arguably harder to reach a high collection rate for in 2022.
I think you can actually hit tech level 3 without any event ships now.
But even ignoring for a moment this important difference from the 2020-2021 state of affairsโฆ technically itโs not just Ironblood Iโm talking about. Their situation is merely exacerbated by how few ships you need to max level and the consequential 2000-3000+ potential tech points they have without rewards, but you hit any factionโs max level before maxing even half its roster.

Controversially? I would say, in a matter of a couple events, that techpoints per ship would need to be actively reduced just to justify the existing โsoftcapsโ.
By comparison; while I am aware new levels = more stats, raising those caps seems a far less โgatekeepingโ move.

Thereโs also nothing saying you canโt luccsacc on a wishing well one of these days and you can pick up to two SRs - both Ironblood - in any category now. You could even have multiple to chose from in a couple of these pools. Relative to both the number of ships and the state of affairs at the featureโs implementation, this is hugely more accessible.
Now as to whether fleet tech should get more levels or if each ship should give less fleet tech points, that's up to devs I guess. The latter would be damaging for newer players but still be beneficial for the system.
The other one would still be alright for newer players ( nothing would change ) but maybe that would give too much stats out of fleet tech and potentially starting to make it too powerful ? I wonder.
i wouldn't mind if they just added more levels that gave coin/chip rewards without adding more stat bonuses since i can see fleet tech stat bonuses possibly becoming an issue in the future

the problem is it isnt just littorio, a lot of the art is set to be at 1080p only and the moment you zoom in on any waifu, it pixelates basically any old art

This may have been brought up by others before, but I think it bears repeating that if we get another UR or Meta ship, it needs to be for the Vanguard and not yet another backline ship. We dearly need a UR/Meta CA, and/or possibly a Meta DD. We need variety, not just a bunch of CVs and BBs. (or BC in the case of Gneisenau)
Semi-related, we are in desperate need of icons to help distinguish BBs and BCs, as well as CVs and CVLs. CBs should not have the same icon as a BB, and they should also not be excluded from CA requirements in Hard Mode.

Yup this is a huge issue currently. You want to play the game but you can't, have to just log-in and wait to get cognitive chips/arrays. For very endgame players who basically only have leveling ships to do to complete fleet tech, this is nightmarish and draining the will to continue playing.
I feel like the only limiting factor in how much you progress should be the time you're willing to put into the game, not the arbitrary amount of items that the game gives you at regular ( or irregular ) intervals.
And this game had it good with its energy system since it gives enough oil to be able to play a lot, as opposed to many other gachas. But the awakening system is starting to really ampede endgame players progression right now.

On one hand I'm surprised we haven't had faction research for the Northern Parliament, Sardnegna, or Iris Libre/Vichiya because we have a healthy amount of ships for them by now. On the other, this feels a lot like Collections (and other aspects) that were implemented and then forgotten about.

Michishio event wasn't a major event, just 2 easy missions every day for 2 weeks. It'd be basically Polaris WA for one week, one week break then Amagi WA.
There was already an event drought at that time because ch14 happened that was after Amagi WA, it was actually a combination of Shima event lasting 3 weeks and Cruise pass/yuudachi retro update happening.
My point is there was a lot of time back then.

From March to September last year is actually have so much time to put it. Other servers can update archives every 1-2 month just fine because they don't insist to put rate up unlike nerf server. So, yeah. Just release it way faster already, dammit
en could be shafted in rewards and other stuff again if they still refuse to catch up way newest archives.
Like how back then there are different SR pick between en and rest servers just because we still so far behind to archives and many ships isn't permanent yet. There are also case where ships that is featured for xp bonus is really different just because they still refuse to release archives way faster. Not even we fully caught up in mini events till now (like 3 rerun left behind)
All of you don't want it to be even worse (like en could delay newer events just because lacking of those) for sure.
idk why we dont catch up to archives faster, first they had a break neck speed and put events back to back even and now we're close to them they turned back into a snail pace and ignore global again
just archive them and give us that new rerun feature with them

Well, there was a chance to catch up last year, didn't happen. And it's going to be hard to do in a year with 4 UR events.
but new players won't be able to keep up with rushed archives 
new players couldnt keep up with event after event but nobody or the devs seems to care then 
ikr. Not even we caught up to smaller events till now, either. It's like 4 mini events rerun and 3 archive behind. Really far behind.
If en really want to catch up to latest content, don't do it half-assed and please release any content, that still left behind, way faster till there are nothing more to catch up anymore.

I sure do remember when people were begging the EN servers to slow the hell down about a year and a half ago on Twitter and Reddit.
And now, it's become the slowest update ever with not even any effort to try rerunning many events that still not released, yet. Not to mention, slow af archive update.

Honestly, still kinda feels like we're going at the same pace we always have been.
But it could be. future events could be delayed because of those old rerun. And yet, they don't use many dead week chance to rerun them, either.
War Archives or not, we still get little time between events to recharge on cubes.
What would you suggest happens in CN and JP when EN gets those mini event reruns in the dead weeks?

I personally appreciate the "dead weeks" because it allows me to catch my breath in game. I think lots of folks feel the same way, it's just they're not in here suggesting feedback. Which is probably true of the vast majority of players (not chiming in I mean).

and mini event rerun should be good enough to rest for older player, while also actually give a chance to newer player to get them and do catch up.
It's also actually suck for newer player if they keep delaying rerun.

Don't think it's being purposefully delayed tho since when CN/JP gets a mini event rerun that is new, EN gets one they are missing unless you're saying u want en to catch up to cn/jp

One thing they could do is combine 2 rate ups in one week in a 2-for-1 WA update, with the usual chance for each elite and super rare, creating a very generous pool. It wouldn't be a big deal because on one hand, it'd be just as easy for new players to get everything and on the other, those ships are mostly obsolete anyway. This would also mean jp/cn wouldn't get dead weeks in the process.

iirc a lot of ppl complain about how fast events were in early 2020, impossible to keep up basically. so they listened and imo it's better. they should be quicker than now, but now is better than then
ppl did complain and the devs slowed down in response...
i dont think they did listen tbh, they ignored all the "slow downers" as far as i remember
