I JUST FINISHED THE ENTIRE AKAME GA KILL MANGA...

Overall:
Art: Consistently solidly good
Characters/characterization: Alright/okay/fine/passable.
Character designs: Good.
Plot: Okay/decent.
World Building: Sadly bad, and lacks/doesn’t have much context or scope, and just makes the story feel more empty overall (there’s not even a map, I think).
Ending: Somewhat satisfying and admittedly emotional despite some minor things that I don’t like about it.
Final Grade: 7/10 MAX. It’s not a masterpiece like people say it is, but it’s not bad either. “Akame Ga Kill Zero” (the prequel) is around the same level.
Do I regret reading it?: Surprisingly no.
Would I recommend it?: If your eyes won’t bleed from the HIGH levels of insane and unseen violence that could happen to anyone and DOES happen to anyone no matter who it is, in addition to the depraved dialogue and facial expressions, and are willing to read through 78.5 chapters of that, then possibly/maybe.

Any attempts by the author to make us feel sympathy for her don’t really work. Kind of a “Mary Sue”. Overpowered and, when she’s about to get hit, she uses her time stop ability or blocks Akame’s sword with ice, or uses some other ability never mentioned before. Seductive, obsessive, toxic, almost yandere-like advances towards Tatsumi despite his age of <18 and her age of 20+. Even as she solemnly accepts her death, she still doesn’t understand why Tatsumi never liked her. Oh boy, I wonder why…)
Suzuka (somehow lived throughout the whole thing and relaxed at the end, and I don’t like that. War would’ve ended faster if she died way earlier on)
I would’ve added The Emperor, but he accepted his fate with pride in the end, so he wasn’t hopelessly clueless

Dorothea’s death (desperately begged for mercy)

Champ (got what he deserved. Didn’t suffer enough, but still)

Honest (died in despair like Dorothea) ||

|| Most frustratingly avoidable death:
Chelsea (she didn’t completely die in vain, because she managed to injure Kurome somewhat with just a needle, and this affected Kurome’s performance in future battles, but it would’ve been better for the team if she just didn’t pursue Kurome, and attempted assassination another time).
I would have said Leone but chapter 77 showed that she luckily didn’t die yet (I thought she died in chapter 72).
