For who to mlb, cowpens definitely, and then probably laffey 2. You could also mlb musashi as she's an upgrade over new jersey, but if that's all the UR bulins you have you can only do one and you shouldn't partially mlb ships. There's also a new UR next month that we don't have info on yet

Could someone explain to me in detail what these guilds are all about? I was in one once, but only for the purposes of a mission, and I didn't really pay much attention to what it actually did. What are the advantages (disadvantages?) of being a member, and what are the advantages (disadvantages?) of being a founder? Does the division between Azur Lane and Crimson Axis have any significance? What about these guild objectives? Because I saw something about them being "casual" (meaning they don't really do anything in particular, is that right?) and "striving to be the best". There's probably more to it than that. Do you have to pay something in gems to start your own guild? I'm asking because I've never clicked further than "create", where you choose your ideology. However, I remember something about sending ships on missions in these guilds and getting rewards, but it's quite confusing.

I have one person who could join this guild, but unfortunately they are from a different server than mine and I don't think it's possible to switch between them -.- So even if I started my own, it would be with someone else. The only question is: Why? What do these guilds offer? What do you do there? And where did this idea of starting my own come from? Well, "everyone" has one, so why not me?

Monthly guild operations are a large part of gold plate income. Guilds also upgrade tech to increase the soft oil/coin cap for your personal storage and dock space
You can also request help from guild members for meta fights.
The other AL CA thing is cosmetic. There are no gameplay disadvantages to being in a guild. The casual/rankings thing probably refers to going for ingame cosmetic rankings

By the way, how does this affect the module? Because I know that different types of projectiles probably hit different targets harder. But doesn't this affect the overall effectiveness of the cannon, depending on what projectiles it fires? After all, not every ship has this juggling ability.

Otherwise, you're stuck getting some from Research Projects, which drop gear blueprints, or waiting until you unlock the Gear Lab at level 60.

If you get 5k in this month, and you have your weeklies still to claim, you COULD hold off collecting until month turn over, but then you'll just cap earlier next month. There is no reason to do so if you're active. Most players cap out on 5k cores every month easily.

Generally recommended to hold onto the event mail oil/coins for emergencies/events worth grinding for gear. If you're using all that then there's not much you can do unless you spend irl money.
