no, it doesn't help, and once again, it depends on content, because Lexii is good against light and Hakuhou is good against heavy, it's that simple. You do have more USS ships, so maybe slightly leaning towards Lexii, but you already also have a ton of units who are light focused, so its really hard to determine for you which one first. Like I said, you can't go wrong choosing either.

you just match whatever you are facing. healers for mob, gather and freeze for bossing. Take as much dmg as you can without risking to die, or just take the best ships you have. It's hard to give a guide, because teambuilding varies based on content.
Nowadays it's hard to go wrong if you just pick top of the meta, unless you are intending to oneshot meta showdown or something.

catchup: older series each offer 300 shared gold research prints between the gold ships and 150 prints for each individual rainbow ship

we usually recommend only using PR4's PR prints for Anchorage, Agir's and FdG's first
the remaining we tend to recommend you wait till you finish a ship through enhancing with coins, then you use the catchup pool to generate excess prints for that ship in order to analyze them for prototype cores

note that being catchup means those prints are only available to older series ships, and it's not available for PR7 yet

if you only started a few days ago you probably also will be fairly limited in how much resource you can spend in researches

There's no such blog. This discord channel is your best source of info. And it's not as simple as "x ship is good vs y, z ships." Gear is a huge part of the game that's just as important as the ships and you switch gear/ships/team comp based on what you're doing.

As for identifying ships, all units show names on the top in their HP bar when hit except in PVP, which shows the ships in the preview menu before you fight them. You can look up ships on the wiki.

15-4 (and to some extent 15-3) have a unique mechanic where you need to do mulitple boss fights, but the fleet you use for a boss fight will take a penalty for the following boss fight

there are different ways to engage this, more commonly you would build a mob fleet that can handle the second boss encounter and a boss fleet that handles the first and third boss fights for 15-4

the setup you're using there like mentioned above is supposed to handle all fights with the top fleet, and the second fleet only does the second boss fight, so there's quite a bit of disconnect between the strength of the two fleets
