the only issue with longer researches is generally lower yield/unit time but purple face isn't exactly the worst thing you can run into
the free (basic) researches are the real problems, as well as a couple other collection researches

folks who do 1hr cube because it's short are also folks who have hundreds if not upwards of 1k cubes and can afford to just take it as a refresh/rushing ship prints

for a newer player or otherwise still resource-starved player I'd take shitty researches to pass time over eating into your cube stock, it's not like you can easily afford the next project even if you finish one quickly anyway

I did say "one of". There were a few. Namely I was just running out of things to do, I found the daily grind to be too time consuming and less and less rewarding. There was a point where I had pretty much everything I needed and was just grinding for tech points and gear lab blueprints and that got pretty old. Amongst even more things that I won't bother to name here

you sound like a person who enjoys progression in the form of overcoming challenges, I think Azur Lane is not that challenging once you reach endgame, so maybe a different game like an RPG, a roguelike, or a survival base builder would fit you better. The gacha space is generally not that challenging, unless you play Wizardry lol

If your luck is mid getting to pity isn't all that difficult, you get 160 cubes a month from login, daily and weeklies, on average with commissions spam it's around 200. You want to mlb perma ships with their copies instead
