You gain ap by running c1 if you have a lot of time and a decent amount of AP to start with, at least 500 preferrably 1k to avoid the risk of just running down to 0 AP out of bad luck. You also need to have enough operation coins to be able to buy up the ap boxes when you do find akashi (can be like 8k coins for 2 boxes of 100 AP, if you get really lucky you might need 16k to buy out all the boxes she has).

If you're running low on AP though, just let regen do its thing and save up 200 for new stronghold on monday.

Also doing a 10 pull then switching to light just sounds worse than doing 1 event pull per day. That way youre only spending 1 cube extra for each pull compared to what you would do anyways for daily mission.
