different tierlists are for different content
so it's just not a good idea to look at the tierlist and decide who to invest on based on that

what's for example tier 2 in campaign may be tier 1 or higher in others

on the other hand, stuff like illustrious who are very good for w15 may be useless anywhere else

and thus isnt good to invest in

the tierlists rate how good they are at X content
it is not an investment priority

like, almost all the URs are very good in the tierlist
that doesnt mean all of them are worth investing into given opportunity cost from a lack of resources

this game is far too nuanced to judge whether something is worth investing in based on performance as measured by a tierlist alone

generally, it would be better for you to ask here

Hello all! About a month in and looking to be able to complete and grind out D3 of the event for gold so I can keep building the new ships and get my first UR in Hakuhou. I have the cubes but ran out of gold. From my available ships, what team would you create to farm D3? Is my current team of lvl 100s good enough as is? Any team advice is appreciated!

EDIT: As it is the six 100 lvl units fall 600 FP short and 326 EVA short of the benchmarks as they are currently geared - so I may be able to upgrade gear further or I may be forced to field a second lvl 100 team.

You don't need a second team at level 100; the average level is calculated by adding all the ships together and dividing by the total amount of ships, meaning you can bring lower level ships if your main fleet is above the level needed. This also means that you could use the least amount of ships possible in the 2nd fleet.

If you can awaken your 6 level 100's that'd be ideal

For meeting the stat requirements just toss BBs & DDs into the 2nd fleet

Gems in Azur Lane are fairly rare from an F2P perspective. However, the gacha in Azur lane does not require gems and their main usage is expansion of facilities like dorm, academy, docks and depot, as well as buying resources, resource packs, premium items (rings and name change), and skins.

As an F2P, you can get up to 4700 guaranteed gems (3750 for 3* clearing all 15 main campaign worlds, 800 for completing Bands collection and 150 for 8 days login campaign), not counting random gems from commissions or occasional bonuses from events or other sources.

Considering limited availability of gems for F2P players, even if spent exclusively on QoL upgrades, it is impossible to upgrade everything.

This is the recommended way to spend gems as an F2P:

• 3rd Dorm slot (300 gems)

Alternatively, players may consider getting the 3rd Academy slot for faster skill training or more dorm slots instead of just dock space (not recommended).

Gems in Azur Lane are fairly rare from an F2P perspective. However, the gacha in Azur lane does not require gems and their main usage is expansion of facilities like dorm, academy, docks and depot, as well as buying resources, resource packs, premium items (rings and name change), and skins.

As an F2P, you can get up to 4700 guaranteed gems (3750 for 3* clearing all 15 main campaign worlds, 800 for completing Bands collection and 150 for 8 days login campaign), not counting random gems from commissions or occasional bonuses from events or other sources.
