The way to farm EXP books is by fighting with level 100+ ships. So as a new player, it's not something you'll get a lot of. Can use dorm to slowly get exp when not using it for morale, or stuck just fighting.

Event’s probably a good place to park and level for a bit. I’d recommend focusing on just one fleet for the time being. If it’s a decent fleet it should be able to take you to world 9 on its own with some levels.

amagi and shinano make a very formidable pair. but since shinano is an UR exchange ship many people would recommend just exchanging for her dupes repeatedly until MLB instead of using UR bulins. not the worst decision, but you might want to consider that and just use amagi CV instead. implacable will take a little longer to go to exchange

Follow the story (red dialog markers) and try to finish it before Agust 1st because every month OPSI reset the map. While doing that try to clear every zone in order Corrossion level 1 to 6.
Get Unicorn and your best 5 other ships. After you finish the Eagle Union side of the story you'll need a 2nd fleet (you can have up to 4 fleets, usually 1 mob, 1 CV, 1 BB and a 4th one with the rest of your fleet).
Blue ports have shops and can be used to rest your fleet.
