It reduces proportionally, but a crappy +6 gear that does less damage is still less damage. And the beacon is never going to improve damage output over a catapult. Beacon is only useful for sync timing adjustments.

100% analyze. The XP grind may feel slow, but the actual slowness is in accumulating the hundreds of blueprints to get the ship to dev 30 (the equivalent of limit breaking it). It isn't going to be useful to you until it is at dev 30, so there's no point in stressing over rushing the XP grind part.

So analyze them, you get protocores that you can use for useful equipment.

when you reach mid/lategame the XP grind per ship can literally be done before all the timegates clear out and you'll spend significantly more time collecting prints
also prototype cores are not going to be coming easily before you're caught up with research, so you'll want as much as you can for prototype shop meanwhile
