I think you should take a look at the ectl tierlist but make sure to take it with a grain of salt because fleets and gear change depending on the content you want to tackle when the content starts getting more difficult. But overall in general it should help you get a headstart on what you should be grabbing generally

They need some sort of guideline that's at least easy to read or something they can start with. If they need more specific gear then they should grab those when needed. ECTL isn't THAT horrible. Nep guns are definitely a little sus now but there is a lot of gear newerish players probably don't know about and I don't think anyone has the time to explain ALL of that to them. And yes I know the gear guide exists but that spreadsheet is so long and compact that I don't even know if I want to show anyone that. I also did say to take it with a grain of salt. I honestly don't think you need to fine tune anything or ask anything until you hit maybe like W13 campaign and MAYBE W12. META fights also could use some fine tuning and help as well. But other than that tierlist WHILE TAKING IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT should work fine. It's what I did for a bit until I hit W14 ish then I just grabbed whatever other gear I needed on top of what I already had
