Imo no, but if you aren't going to be able to play much and that's how you guarantee getting enough coins for the event, then do it. I don't go above softcap so that I can still collect merchant coins. You lose coin income by stocking that much.

Days of event/number of coins needed. If you aren't meeting that ratio then do more 12-4. If you can't get that many coins per day on average, stock in advance.

So with a lvl 10 canteen the oil I get per day is 2160, probably 3000 with all commissions combined and 4000/7 per day for supply pack so total is about 3500 give or take, D3 usually gives 0.67 event pt per oil and 4.31 to 5.24 coins per oil, which averages to 4.78 coins per oil, so I will have 21 days x 3500 oil/day x 0.67 pt/oil which is just under 50k pts, (I can prob get more from daily missions, sp, etc), then with the coins it's 21 x 3500 x 4.78 which is 350k... I think I just convinced myself, ok then thank you cheeky and kasic
