Powercreep. There's lots of vanguard ships that do more damage than her/have other utility. It's also relatively expensive to retrofit her.
She's not bad but by the time you would get around to actually building her up you'll have better ships.

In the Taihou META my fleet was doing around 750k damage per attempt, now in Hornet I am lucky to get 300k.
I switched my guns to AP from HE which helped a lot, but she is just tearing through my vanguard before my main fleet can work through her health.

white is better than black almost all the time, but as a new player, you might have a purple rarity white shell whose skill doesn't stack with gold rarity white shell's. So you can buy black or white first, but really just buy white first so that you ensure you get to 3 within 3 months.

i think icehood probably tested a lot of different fleets to 100 runs using methods we don't speak of. That leads to multiple comparisons bias where some fleets appear to perform very well (96, 98) but is actually a result of pure chance. If you test 10 different fleets with 95% win rate, then you are very likely to see some 98/100 and some 92/100

A1 and C1 share the same clear mission
As do B1 and D1
So if you cleared all the A maps already, you won't receive any from C

if you dont deal enough damage maybe take a look at your gear or level a bit on the highest stage you can

if ure new and can't farm oilcapped event stages then maybe using less ships is also debateable but depends on ur situation
