It's not that difficult, it's just only useful on rather specific movement patterns

If you're doing manual, just watch the boss, and figure out where in their sequence they stop.
If auto, look up online what the right timing is for that boss, then use a timing calculator and fiddle with your fleet and gear until they're launching at the right time.

Only works on bosses that do have a pause in their sequence, though.
