155mm kai is fine to make if you want something that works overall well enough that also ends up having use as interception gun (mainly in world 14). if for some reason you really want/need an AP gun instead then the felix gun from PR6 is also straight up better as a main gun than nep gun

as for interception, the nep gun has no real use since, at most it would only see use up to world 11 and you definitely don't need it to beat world 11 when you can just overwhelm the stages with levels and good gearing elsewhere. world 12 and 13 have no fire boats and its been proven bad for interception in world 15 and it is probably also bad for world 14 as well (only way it would not be complete trash is if it somehow got 2 volleys out but i doubt it can do that)

your fleet as it is literally has no issue breezing through to 11 or 12, so once you fix up the problems you can just progress without much issue

The level of your current gear is a secondary issue to whether you have good gears equipped at all

You can work on upgrading gear as you get materials. If you spend those materials on upgrading bad gears you're holding yourself back/making it take longer to progress.

If you're feeling embarassed about maybe having lots of bad gear, don't be. It's very easy to be misled on gear since the game doesn't go into detail about specifics on it, and unlike many other games, rarity is not a good indicator of general performance for almost anything in this game.

That's not really uncommon tbh. We see lots of players who don't do campaign because it either takes too much time or they find it boring or they are struggling with ships/gears.
With good gear (purple rarity is more than enough and you almost certainly will have the gears around unless you regularly scrap everything you're not using), you could progress to w12 in a few hours.
