Well maybe the key then is to plan ahead so you don't get caught with your ships down. For example, if you working on plymouth, plan to do brest next, then start raising iris backliners so they're not all useless low level ships when you finish plymouth and start brest.

and by resistance you mean the damage reduction from abyss bosses? those are still effective but newer ships just have much more damage to brute force them. and as mentioned, the trend is kear+yk2, soyuz+nahk, mixed fleets tend to be the top comps

I had 2 less avi tech, a little less vanguard offense tech, and a lot less vanguard survivability tech (notice that they hacked max tech). And I got 2/3 kill assist and 1/2 kill with barrage because apparently -2 avi equals -10% damage

short battles would "favor" one or the other reload time, but mob battles have semi-random lengths so it's not useful to think about that

unless you can kill enemies so quickly you're done before the quicker reload can finish reloading

you can also move your amagi into your fleet 2

Fleet 2 focus on DPS and some tankiness to clear boss fights.
