Section 2.1: Pulling on the Wishing Well
But there will almost certainly be a few ships that will evade you even after a few years of pulling. By this point, you will almost certainly have a good stockpile of cubes to be able to pull on Wishing Wells. Now to clarify for those who aren’t aware, Wishing Well is an event that comes around usually twice a year(if you’re on EN once during the CN Anniversary in May and once during the EN Anniversary in August) that allows you to pick 2 ships from one pool to be rated for the duration of the event. I want to stress that you should only pull on these for collection until you’re just missing a few ships for 100%. Doing it sooner usually means you have fewer cubes and thus less buffer room to deal with bad rings on events and a greater likelihood that the ships you choose you’ll randomly pull during an event later on effectively rendering the cubes spent on the Wishing Well. And for all that risk you aren’t getting to 100% any faster so there are few benefits and many risks involved. I would recommend selecting 2 ships from the light pool and just doing your dailies on the Wishing Well if you aren’t pulling on the event(Wishing Well events usually run alongside a new event) until you’re in a position to comfortably be able to spend cubes on Wishing Well events.
