Well tldr; concealment gives you more eva and enemy BBs and I think others too can't directly shoot at you, when it's depleted they can

concealment basically means your ships wont be directly targeted, and enemies will instead fire in the general area of where your ships are

higher hit stat helps work against this mechanic as well

oh and dont pick up flares, and avoid using all rocket planes
