one, her barrage is based on her position and to get the most out of it she wants to be the flagship
the second reason is that for most of the main campaign, there will be suicide boats present which will ram into your backline doing not insignificant amounts of damage and one of the ways to deal with them is run a battleship with a good auxilary gun
