MEOWFFICER QUICK GUIDE

What are Meowfficers?
They are companions that you can add up to 2 per fleet (including sub fleets). They buff your fleets with their "skills" and "talents". There are 27 different types of them.

How do I get them?
You get them by opening Cat Boxes in the Cattery. The Cattery can be found under HQ > Cat Lodge. The first Cat Box you buy everyday is free. You can buy up to 14 more per day, with each costing 1500 Gold. It is strongly recommended you do NOT binge on them!

How do I level them?
Just like ships, they gain experience when sortied. They do not cost oil, however their exp gain is dependent on the oil spent by the fleet. They max out at level 30. You can also level them by feeding other meowfficers to them, at about 30% exp loss (20% bonus if identical). Additionally they can gain levels passively through Comf-Forts.

What are talents?
Talents buff a specific ship type or faction. They get 1-3 permanent talents, depending on rarity.. Every 5 levels they gain, they get a Cat Paw which can be used to roll new talents or raise the level of some talents. You can reroll any new talents once every 24h with gold (increases with number of talents).

What are skills?
Skills are unique to each type of Meowfficer. They usually give some stat buff or some perk to the fleet. They get 1 skill initially, and they can get up to 3 skills, each obtained by feeding duplicates (1 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd). The potency of the skills is dependent on their stats which increase through levels.
Do note that the skill stat buffs are mostly inferior to talent stat buffs.

I'm not going to pretend that it's possible to cover every single scenario, but the pointers I personally go by would include:
-Among those four, Bismarck is fixed in the triple BB fleet
-Vanguard particularly privileges situations where the vanguard is able to contribute a substantial amount of damage, and her effective contribution may fall off if vanguard output is low or reduced for any reason.
-Soyuz brings the best (long-term) personal damage of the three, particularly against medium, at the expense of her weaker debuff with shorter uptime. Her "reasonable" ceiling is also relatively high due to being especially good at fishing for crits.
-Alsace particularly privileges short-ish fights due to her preload, with performance falling off over time. Her debuff has good uptime and can become particularly potent if it is possible to make it permanent without compromise (although this is not easy to do).
