I start with an idea. So for this week it might help to know that I was thinking up this challenge atound the time of the Adaptive Armorments challenge, it was about the time Sorcery Amassing was added, I got the idea for this challenge by asking myself what Sorcery Amassing changed. Not discarding cards is one answer to that, which is what led me to think of Shurikens. From there I started expanding on the idea, Sorcery Amassing makes you draw 1 card a turn, so really you want to increase that. The next question I asked where what tools are avalible to help draw cards? The answers I came up with were draw, focus and momentum, but where do these meet, the answer being Seeker. Seeker also has good access to cards with discard, which fits having to choose to discard Shurikens instead of doing it passively. That gave me the keywords. Then I started to put together the starting decks, this involved looking through Blightbane and trying to come up with combinations that I thought were ballenced, this is probably the hardest bit of the process and the easiest to make mistakes on. Lastly for this challenge perticulary it needed something else, AgentGanon had asked during the Adaptive Armorments challenge what he could do to prevent use from getting rid of our basic attacks. To incentivise keeping them I added bonus point for upgrades. The idea was you probably could just keep 1 or 2 if you wanted, but it would be easier to get more of the points if you kept more of them. As a bonus it makes talents which give random upgrades more worth, which I thought was interesting. Then I thought it through, for a few days I would keep going back to my notes and going through each step and connection until I was happy with it (it's not often I make these suggestions in a hurry). When I was happy with it I suggested it to AgentGanon.
