This run also got a Darkness card out of the tree, so quite a few encounters are starting with I play one turn, get stunned for a turn, and then finish them - not sure if I'll make it far enough to get rid of it

I was at about 100 health while attempting this challenge and just died instantly to an Amber Hauler.
It had first strike and hit me with PULVERIZE for 8, 16, 24, 32 etc until I died. I didn't know it could instakill me from near full, as I've never had that much trouble with this mob before

Ouch! Amber Haulers are bad enough when they get First Strike from a Slicer, even without any buffs. I’m sorry for your loss

The biggest factor is malignancy, as it's a multiplier. Then you want to be trying to hit the deck size target, get rarer cards for more points and get any bonus points you can. A deck of unique cards will also help you score higher.
But I wouldn't compare one weekly challenge with another. The different starts can change how difficult a given score from one weekly to another.

Thanks, I didn't know that unique or higher rarity cards contributed to scores, but it does make sense.
I'm having enough trouble as it is without adding more malignancies, so I guess I need more practice to get better first
How do you get the bot to populate your decks / scores here? I added my Discord username and it didn't add my deck to this thread, unless I did it wrong somehow?
I see some highscores use the Sorcery Amassing affix. How do you mitigate its downside of so little card draw?
I guess it works out for this challenge because the difficulty at the start is having enough energy to spend on the axes, so not having card draw at first isn't an issue due to the weapon density

When you complete a run that you started via the Weekly Trial screen, your deck is automatically submitted to Blightbane at the victory/defeat screen (assuming you have an internet connection at that point. Posting it on Discord is pretty much optional (or a backup method to submit if you didn’t have an internet connection)
The way that you get the snippet to post on Discord is by going into your Archive screen, finding your deck and then scrolling to the bottom where there is a Copy to Clipboard button. You tap that and then Paste it here. (I’m unfamiliar with how it works using a screen reader, but I think it’s possible)

I think Sorcery Amassing might be the easiest 50% malignancy (although other people might say Eternal Hunger is easy as well but I don’t typically have the patience for that).
The hardest part is always the beginning of the game, but once you can get some kind of draw engine going, it can actually become kind of a benefit that all your cards are persistent

I had insane luck with the enchanter and first got the talent that upgrades your weapons whenever you use your weapon power (which is every fight with reckless weapon) and shortly after that I got the talent that upgrades another time when upgrading. don't expect to ever get that kind of luck again

Yes, diminishing returns. So half again for each copy (example 100 -> 50 -> 25). There’s also a limit so that only 3 copies get points

I am so used to playing with Sorcery Amassing that it's weird to play without it
It really needs a way to return your discarded cards to your hand if you're playing this kind of warrior, though
I'm also becoming increasingly convinced that Sunfall Meadows is the best place to start, especially if you're running Scarcity—it's the only one that can give you a shop at the end

the upgrades come from the two talents I mentioned. the rest is basically bashing your head against the wall till you have a run that has reached critical mass... and occasional save scumming, I don't feel good to admit.
