first person would feel really weird in this game, could be added as an optional setting but in my personal opinion it doesnt "need" it

pseudo barn

That's What I'm saying ... To add as a optional For those who's like me that don't like to get cornercamped by looking at the side of a building while the other guy can't see you, but you can it doesn't make sense how would it be weird ... I'm top 10 in the game so i know what I'm saying if i start cornercamping and if il be aiming from 3dperson i would get every game more then 20 kills on Shootout with 0 deaths xD and how does it make sense when a guy can tap you to the head by being on 3dperson while you try to aim from Firstperson its just ridiculous because you have to much muzzle flash . basically in simple words I'm saying that 3dperson is more accurate then 1stpersom while shooting it does not make any sense its and player base would be better

For PC players, having a first person only mode is....so crucial. We are competitive gamers, unlike the general console casual. This game does absolutely "need" it.

As much as I would enjoy that, Vigor was always meant to be a third-person game, and I highly doubt they'd ever want to put the effort into making a first-person mode

#

If you don't like the third-person perspective then don't play a third-person game perhaps?

The title of your post said first-person only lol

pseudo barn

#

Well I did, but the way you've worded it is like you're asking for a first-person only mode

pseudo barn
#

yeah so the only is a big thing xD

#

its would be nice tho to have a option 3dperson and a second one 1stperson ofcourse the need to fix it like i said up there xD

"First-person aim is terrible with some guns' iron sights."

Which guns? Terrible how?

"Add leaning left and right"

That raises a lot of questions. If they add leaning for first-person, should they also add it for third-person? What would the controls be for that on consoles? Should you also be able to lean while crouched and prone? Should leaning affect accuracy and stamina consumption? Should you be able to move while leaning? If so, in what stances? Granted, other games out there have done this, however I doubt they would invest time in this because for a primarily third-person game it would have minimal impact.

"Fix some round iron scopes because when you shoot you don't see nothing"

Not sure what exactly you're referring to here. Iron sights or scopes? On which guns specifically? I can see stuff just fine on the guns that I use.

"When there is fog the scopes also need some fixes"

Um, what exactly needs fixing? If it's foggy it's harder to see, as it should be. Not sure what you're asking for here.

"Optimalisation (Optimize) graphics because from a distance the enemy looks like they are bouncing up and down"

That's a bug, most likely not related to graphics optimization but probably a desynchronization issue.

My advice? If want to make a suggestion post that the devs will actually take seriously, you should proof-read what you write and be as specific as possible

pseudo barn
#

i respect that but im not gonna waste my time explaining every detail on how and what they should do better i gave a suggestion that's all ,im not a developer i don't get money to try to fix they game for them they get paid . I'm just giving a few suggestions and if you play how i play you would know what iron sights are bad i always aim with first person so i know what im talking about ,the are guns you can see and some guns you cant see sht because of the muzzleflash and some rounded sights im not gonna be specific on what guns they should know and if you ever played First person shooters you would know 2 but i get the feeling you play on console so you probably don't 🤣

cunning coral
#

some iron sights are really bad taking up the whole screen so those should definetely be fixed

pseudo barn
#

and if this game gona have crosplatform im definitely Gonna Delete it but for now not even gonna play it before they fix the Firstperson 🤣

# pseudo barn i respect that but im not gonna waste my time explaining every detail on how and...

Sigh Okay...

No one's going to make you spend more time on something you don't want to. However, as I said, if you want the developers to genuinely consider your feedback, you need to be more specific. Stating vague points and not elaborating doesn't exactly help them. I understand that you're just giving suggestions, but you can't expect them to make major changes to the game based on "x feature needs fixing."

I get the muzzle flash thing, but that's there because it's a thing that exists in the real world. I've never fired a gun myself, but from a game design perspective, why should you be able to full-auto somebody with zero penalty? Fire in short bursts or single shots, or use third-person for longer bursts of fire if the flash is bothering you.

By rounded sights I'm assuming you mean the rear sights on certain guns like the G3 or FAMAS? In-game, before the weapon overhaul, certain guns' sights used to be harder to see out of until they cut down or removed their rear sights. Namely, the "M2" (Technically M1 due to the model) Carbine, MP5, FAMAS, and probably others that I can't remember at the moment. The G3, however, still has the full rear aperture for whatever reason. My point is, they just changed a lot of them by sacrificing realism. If you want them to make more changes, you're going to have to give them a better reason.

And since you insisted on being confrontational for some reason: I started playing this game on Xbox in 2019 (I did however take long breaks from the game), and I started on PC when it went free-to-play on Steam. Between Xbox and PC, I've played a lot of first-person shooters. Insurgency: Sandstorm, Enlisted, Ready or Not, Escape from Tarkov, and others. Again, not sure why you had to go there. I'm not here to argue, I'm just trying to provide constructive feedback.

#

And one more thing: Even if you don't care about the "aim-assist noobs," the developers do, given that Vigor was originally, still is, and will be a console game...

pseudo barn
#

Yeah exactly as I was saying i had a feeling that you were a console player 😂😂😂

#

So go back to console you don’t have competitive game sense the aim assist are f ing competitive game’s play for mnk players because all you console players can’t stay on console even after you buy a pc you don’t even want to learn how to play with Mnk you guys trying to bring all competition down to your level so no skill matters as I said aim assist noobs and I’m saying that for a reason not and those games that you mentioned you want me to laugh or what 😂 first person yeah but not competitive at all 😂

#

Stop it I’m done explaining to noobs how to play competitive see you typing don’twast your time I’m done explaining to console players that the are noobs bye ✌️

Well sorry that I don't play competitive games... But look, Vigor is not going to fundamentally change because you want it to. When you're posting stuff like this, you should be convincing people why it's in everyone's best interests, not exclusively you or a small subset of the playerbase. If this game isn't competitive enough for your liking, go back to COD or CS instead of begging the devs to add things to suit you. They're not going to cater to individual players. I'm sorry that you're upset. It's not personal, but realistically I'm telling you that unless you put more thought into your suggestions, no one on the development team is going to listen to you. That's all I'm trying to say here. I tried to be civil and have a genuine discussion, but that's not going to happen if all you're going to do is argue in bad faith and dismiss well-reasoned points with what essentially amounts to "I don't care."

# daring chasm As much as I would enjoy that, Vigor was always meant to be a third-person game,...

First person mode is a incredibly easy feature to deliver on. And the dollar fuels every change. They clearly wanted the PC market, and if they want any reasonable share of it, they have to adjust to how PC players play. And that is VERY different from console casuals. Just about every third person shooter now has a first person mode only option, and that exists because of competitive play. Also, to say "if you wanted X, then maybe play a different game" is an astronomically ignorant thing to say. The entire purpose of player-focused development is player-feedback for wants and desires.

# thin pecan First person mode is a incredibly easy feature to deliver on. And the dollar fue...

"First person mode is a incredibly easy feature to deliver on"

This is very much an oversimplification. It's not as simple as just moving the camera; they would have to consider how a full first-person perspective will interact with other existing systems and the overall experience, not to mention the time and resources it takes to create new animations, develop, test, and iterate on such a fundamental change. Vigor was designed as a third-person game. You can't expect the developers to stray from fundamental design choices. If they decide to make a first-person system, I would genuinely enjoy and welcome it, but realistically speaking, it's probably not going to happen.

"They clearly wanted the PC market, [...] they have to adjust to how PC players play."

To an extent, yes. But there are several problems with your point here: Just because a shooter exists on PC, does not mean it has to be competitive. There are lots of shooters, and games in general, that are not competitive, made for PC, and are successful. There absolutely is a market for casual games on PC, and not everything has to (nor should it) be competitive.

Vigor is now a PC game, but it is still also a console game. Adjusting to a new platform should not mean alienating the community of dedicated console players, who are still a significant portion of the playerbase. They simply can't afford to do that.

#

"To say 'if you wanted x, then try a different game' is an astronomically ignorant thing to say."

Sorry, but it's really not. Every piece of software, games included, has a defined scope and target audience. Sure, Vigor has a lot of room for improvement, and by no means am I saying that it shouldn't change. But at the end of the day, there is no such thing as a game that can please everybody. I'd much rather see them stick to their vision than to cater to the small but vocal (and evidently, toxic) competitive community. It's up to them where they decide to put their effort, and whatever decisions they've made and will make, they have their reasons. We're allowed to disagree, but at the same time, if the game doesn't suit your preferences, there is nothing wrong with playing something else.

You're arguing against added features that wouldn't affect you at all, because at your casual skill level, you would never be playing. This is a weird conversation.

daring chasm
#

I'm arguing against your reasoning for adding competitive features and taking into account how that affects the bigger picture...

thin pecan
#

The OP argued for a first person mode. Which is common sense PC shooter features. If you are bad, then you wouldn't have to play it. It affects no larger picture here, your arguing against invisible demons. It's almost like you don't want a first person mode because you aren't good enough to play it....which is crazy because you wouldn't have to play it. I feel like you just like to talk, brother. You argue because you can, not because it serves any purpose.

daring chasm
#

Respectfully, I'm trying to be realistic and go beyond my own personal beliefs. Like I said, I would definitely enjoy a first-person mode. Your assumption that I don't want and wouldn't play it is frankly not true. But "first-person" does not equate to "competitive." Those are two entirely separate clauses. You're trying to dismiss my points by chalking it up to a skill issue while completely ignoring everything else I said instead of engage in thoughtful discussion. Not cool...

And we're back to the beginning again 🙄

Also, after reading this thread suggestion, you need to grow the fuck up and quit tossing insults at people who dislike your idea, vigor is and always has been a 3rd person game, go play fucking valorant or csgo or cod or ANY of the other competitive FPS dominant games, its a 3rd person shooter and that wont change, you are a childish spoiled brat who cries when they dont get their way, consider growing tf up before yelling abuse at others, who may simply dislike the idea or even just give you constructive criticism, moron.

Also, quit begging for something that a dev has already said will not happen.
