Also Idk if this is known, but you can apparently skip the crystal first encounter dialogue if you do it with fast enough timing/speed
It also didn't play the first switch encounter dialogue when encountering an other switch
(When going to the crab dungeon, I used a launcher to enter from the whrilpool side, so I didn't encounter the switch there)

The movement and not almost dying at the end could be improved alot tbh

Also the set of pets and the patches I get/plant for the run could be way better, any ideas would be great

The idea im going for with the pets and pins are, Seabra due to having swift and herbivore, and Torrentoise+Kragnet for defense. And for patches all I got for the plan to always get is Brain Coral, because Clear Mind is very useful

I would certainly believe so, as I think Matrinox isn't too far from Omalon (Though omalon is most likely/definitly faster, partly just because buzzurker is so effective)
but firstly I am going through the core bosses as a form of preperation for a any% TE run, where Crab shrine would be best to get due to the fact it is a shortcut used by two diffrent core bosses
but secondly and the main reason, Omalon without the spider shrine is already a pain I don't want to do Matrinox like that as well. The higher dificulty plus not being able to plant patches (removing the consistent clear mind found in both) kills so many more runs. I at least would want to get a sub 35 before attempting crabless, as sub 35 is quite possible

Minimum permanent progress is the priority, followed by quickest time.
Things that count as permanent progress:

Opening doors/using crystal switches*.
Notes, Treasures, Pins, Mounts, Mount levels, Pets, explorer rank and upgrades.
Opening shortcuts.

*this includes other base exits
*since the switch for turning off the Danger! spaces in the volcanic zone can be turned off again it is the only Crystal Switch not considered permanent progression

I might be forgetting something but along with the general game rules I think that's everything

oh this could technically end up being a longer run so multiple sittings should probably be allowed for this category

Also idea for a possible gate skip, by planting a Mineshaft (or a Teleportal, but harder to get and wouldn't be possible pre rust gate) and having one of the Mineshafts appear on the opposite side of the gate, would it be possible to go through the gate, as it appears that the Mineshaft./Teleportal turn off all forms of player collision and send them to another one, so unless the Gates were coded in such a way to make that fully impossible, it should be possible

Due to the way balloons work, I think no? Because you either need to go to the map and select a tile you've already been to, or go down a corridor
Might be some way to do that though
