this is also open to others to imagine what's possible
anyone wanna give ideas on how some pin cards can play?
What are the base mechanics for this concept
Basically funny monsters beat each other up on a 4x4 grid
And you can play pins to block other team
You also play monsters
I don't know the details however

Not really
All smite gave
Was attacks
I am assuming you choose a monstrr
Then when it is played
You can use one of its attacks
The pins probably do something to help or stop it idk
You can also play zones
And then their subzones on top I think
So pins are like item cards in the pokemon tcg

the red and blue squares on the map are the base camps the yellow points are areas of intrest and the green squares are ammo bush locations
I feel like the pins should be more like items instead of blockades, allows you to do more interesting concepts with them.

What do ammo bushes do?
You win when you drop your opponent's HP to zero.
Each round each player gets a certain amount of EP (Energy Points) that can upgrade a monster(bronze/silver/gold crown) when placing it on the field.
There are zone cards that give buffs to monsters of the same zone. Each one takes 2 EP to use.
There are treasure cards that can give monsters extra abilities.
Each player gets a random ammo fruit every 5 rounds (rolls a d6 to get one) and can use it as the explorer without needing any monsters to help. Each ammo has different effects.
Monster cards have 4 stats. HP, SP, EP and level. By spending more EP you can upgrade a monster before summoning it. SP is the amount of stamina a monster has. By attacking or defending the monster loses SP. By getting attacked while not defending it loses HP. Each monster has an attack and defence. When defending a monster can protect itself from one attack and lose no HP in that turn. Some monsters have special abilities such as splash damage and wrath (when on the field alone after an allied monster dies)
There can only be 6 monsters in each side at a time.
Only level 1 monsters can be summoned normally. Level 2-3 require sacrifice or/and special cards (eg Ruby Core) to be summoned.

brain totem would make monsters go frenzy
it can possibly be a 5X5 map with 4x4 rooms
frenzy doubles damage and the monster is immune to any damage for 1 turn but loses half of the damage it dealt from health and also loses double SP
Seems frenzy = bad?
it's got as much good as drawbacks
so if a monster has 10 HP, 10 SP and the move costs 4 SP and deals 4 dmg, it will do 8 dmg, lose 4 HP and 8 SP
The brain totem can effect from any square in its own room, right?

Thristle - Enemy monster takes half of the damage they dealt when attacking that monster (works only once)
Dustelion - Monster that gets attacked can’t attack for 1 turn
Dizzalea - Opponent rolls a d6 for each of their monsters and if they roll a 1, that monster flees
Ammo
Rifle – Hits one monster and the opponent for 1d6 dmg
Bombs – Hits all enemy monsters for 1d3 dmg
Jumbo – Hits one monster for 1d8 dmg
Homing – Has a 100% hit rate no matter what and deals 1d6 dmg to 1 monster or the opponent
Grapes – Hits all enemy monsters and the opponent for 1d2 dmg
Shotgun – Hits 1 monster for 2d6 dmg
Prickly – Hits 2 enemy monsters for 1d6 dmg

EP is like mana from hearthstone
it is used when summoning monsters

Alloy Vera - When moved on, heals 3 HP and is destroyed
Paddle Plant - if you have mortarmelon, give the player 3 extra hearts (conditional)
Alloy Vera - if you have spineapples, increase the level by 1 immediately. If at max level, heal by 3 HP.

Monster level is a system where after each turn, the monsters that you obtain are higher value, causing the game to get more fun later on
The monster level helps do this I think
So when I say increase monster level
I mean increase from level 4 to 5
8 is the maximum, so when that happens, heals the attacking monster by 3
I am not saying increase the monster from normal to silver crown

the level isnt related to any specfic monster
it is a value seperate from the indivual
but it will give the indivual 3 HP back if the level of the monster draw pool is at 8
the indivual level only goes up to 5 (horde, normal, silver, gold, jumbo)
